Hye Kyo's POV

"Stitch it up, and we're done," I said.

I washed my hands and walked out of the operating theatre. My shoulders were aching after standing for eighteen hours. I yawned and lifted my heavy arms to cover my mouth. I stretched my arms and sat down on one of the chairs outside the operating theatre. My fellow doctors pushed out the patient we just finished operating on.

"Gwaenchana?" One of the doctors, Jin Ki, walked towards me.

I closed my eyes and nodded my head.

"Lunch is on me. See you in the cafeteria in half an hour," He patted me on my back.

"I'm too tired to walk..." I said with my eyes closed.

"But you need to wash up," He said.

I nodded my head. After a while, I stood up. I walked into the toilet and just as I was about to wash my face, my phone rang. I took it out of my pocket and answered it.

"Are you coming home for dinner tonight?" That really familiar voice spoke.

"Omma," I called.

"Yah, are you?" She asked.

"Ani... I have work to do..." I sighed.

"We haven't seen you in so long..." My mother's voice cracked.

"Mianhae..." I apologized.

"We shouldn't have let you become a doctor..." She said.

"Then what else can I do? Take over the company?" I shot back.

"At least you would have time to come home for dinner," My mother said.

"I need to go. I'll try to make it this weekend," I said, and hurriedly hung up the phone.

I washed up and changed into a new set of clothings. I slowly made my way to the cafeteria.

"Annyeong!" Jin Ki greeted me with a smile.

I couldn't help but smile at him. He isn't just one of our youngest doctors here in this hospital. He is a good one, and as well as our happy virus.

"What do you want to eat today?" He asked.

"Mmm..." I looked up at the menu.

And... My phone rang again.

"Aish," I took it out of my pocket.

It was a call from another doctor.

"Ne, Min Young-sshi?" I answered the call.

"Geu... You know... That patient... The teenager..." She was stammering.

"Calm down and speak properly," I said.

"I can't seem to find him..." She said.

"Ne?" I felt my entire heart drop.

"I can't find him..." She said softly.

"Are his clothes still there?" I asked.

"Ani..." She whispered.

I sighed.

"I'll call you back later," I said.

"Wae?" Jin Ki asked me.

"Mianhae... I got to turn you down again today. My patient ran off..." I apologised.

"Ah... Gwaenchana. I'll get you a sandwich and put it on your desk," He smiled at me.

I nodded my head and ran off to where my patient was supposed to be at. Min Young was still standing by his bed side.

"What time did you come?" I asked.

"About a while ago..." She said.

I sighed.

"Excuse me," A man tapped on my shoulder.

I turned around to face him.

"I'm looking for a patient who was supposed to be here. A teenager... Mmm... About 19? Around 178cm tall... He was here yesterday," That man spoke.

"May I know how are you related to him?" I asked.

"He's my brother," He said.

"We're looking for him as well..." I said.

"Did he run away?" That man asked.

"Ne... Mianhaeyo..." I bowed.

That man sighed loudly.

"Gwaenchana," He said.

"We are really sorry about this... We will try to find him as fast as we can," I said.

"It's okay, you helped to clean his wound, and helped to look after him. You already did your best as a doctor. Gomawo," He smiled at me.

"It's what I'm supposed to do," I smiled back.

The man turned and walked away.

"Eotokke, Unnie..." Min Young held onto my arm.

"Eotokke? Find him," I said.

"We don't even know where he ran to..." She said.

"I know... That's the thing..." I sighed.

 

Joong Ki's POV

He ran away again. I could tell from that doctor's face.

"Did he run away?" I asked.

The doctor hesitated for a while before answering, with a bow, "Ne... Mianhaeyo..."

I sighed. This kid. Again. I need to bring him home before our father gets angry again.

"Gwaenchana," I told the doctor.

"We are really sorry about this... We will try to find him as fast as we can," She bowed again.

"It's okay, you helped to clean his wound, and helped to look after him. You already did your best as a doctor. Gomawo," I gave her my brightest smile.

She smiled and answered, "It's what I'm supposed to do."

I nodded and made my way out of the hospital. I dialled his number.

"Hyung," He answered the call.

"Eodi?" I asked.

He kept quiet.

"Eodi?" I asked again.

He still remained silent.

"Pray that I don't find you," I said and hung up.

I got into the car and drove to my brother's favourite place. The alley near our house. I got down the car and walked into the alley.

"Hyung..." He immediately stood up when he saw me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, with my hands on my waist.

"I don't like hospitals, you should know that," He defended himself.

"I know. And I know too that if I don't get you back to the hospital, father is going to rage," I scolded.

"Hyung..." He whined.

"Song Min Ho," I glared.

"I rather go home," He said.

"Hospital. Now," I demanded.

After a while, Min Ho gave in. On the car ride to the hospital, he told me about the fight that happened today.

"You got yourself into trouble," I said.

"Not always..." He denied.

"At least once every week. How is that not always?" I shot back.

"Focus on the road, Hyung," He said.

I sighed.

"I give up. Do what you like," I said.

Min Ho kept quiet after that. We got to the hospital and I brought him back to where he was supposed to be.

"Search that area, Min Young ah," That doctor said, and bumped into me.

I held her arms before she fell.

"Gwaenchana?" I asked, looking into her eyes.

Her eyes widened. She blinked a few times.

"I came earlier? To search for my missing brother?" I joked.

"Ah... That guy," She said.

I slowly let go of her arm.

"I still can't find him..." She said, brushing her hair away from her face.

"I found him," I said.

"You did?" I saw joy on her face.

"You're a doctor, shouldn't you be more observant? Look, he's sitting on the bed he is supposed to be in," I pointed to the bed.

"Thank you... Geurigo, mianhae..." She bowed.

I couldn't help but smile. It was only our second meeting but I already find her cute.

"Hyung, why are you smiling at the doctor?" Min Ho's words snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Who said I was smiling at her?" I started getting defensive.

The doctor turned to face me, then looked away. It was as if she was shy.

"Don't run away anymore. I'll discharge you soon, so don't worry," The doctor told Min Ho.

"I'm done. He will have to stay the night. If he is fine tomorrow, we will discharge him. Else he will have to stay for another day or so," The doctor told me.

"Ne, gomawo," I thanked her and smiled.

She nodded her head.

"Is there anything else?" She asked.

"Mmm... Can I have a word with you?" I asked.

"Regarding?" She asked.

"Let's go outside?" I suggested.

She nodded her head and lead the way.

Once we were outside the ward room, she asked, "So?"

"What's your name?" I mustered the courage to ask.

"Wae?" She laughed.

"I'm curious," I answered.

"Song Hye Kyo," She answered.

"Song?" I asked.

She nodded her head.

"What about you?" She asked.

"Song Joong Ki," I replied.

"Jincha?" Her eyes widened.

And again, I got to see her beautiful pair of eyes widened. It just makes my heart beat faster.

"Are you attached?" I asked.

"Ani, I'm too busy," She said.

"Anyone you like now?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"Why are you asking all these?" She asked.

"Ani, I'm just curious," I answered.

"Curious again," She laughed.

"Ne, because you're such a beautiful person, so I thought that there are many who wants you," I said.

"Ani," She laughed.

"What's your number?" I asked.

Her eyes widened. Again.

"I... Why?" She asked.

"Curious," I claimed.

"Pass me your phone," She said.

I gave her my phone and she dialled in some numbers.

"There you go," She said.

"Can I... Text you?" I felt my heart racing.

She laughed that beautiful laughter and nodded her head.

"You should get going, you have patients waiting for you," I smiled and waved goodbye.
