16 year old Byul walked to school humming a tune and smiled to herself

*It’s Valentine’s Day today…I just hope I have enough guts to confess to WonWoo oppa*

She touched her bag and smiled feeling the gift box she had prepared for WonWoo.

That week had not been too good for Byul. She was down with a cold and a new Kingka was in school

Byul walked to the classroom and walked to her desk. She sighed as she looked at the girls talking about their dates
*And here I am…single as ever*

Byul impatiently waited for school to get over. Byul smiled satisfactorily as she doodled WonWoo’s name on the edges of her note book

AFTER SCHOOL:

Byul waited on the rooftop for WonWoo. She looked at the sky which was surprisingly gloomy

“Is it going to rain today?” she muttered when she heard footsteps and smiled as she nervously shifted from one foot to another

“Hi” she smiled as WonWoo walked towards her with a smile

*That smile…WonWoo had always been my crush and maybe my first love since I met him in my first year of high school. He was a Kingka.*

How we became friends? We did a lot of home assignments together and projects together. He is kind, gentle…who would not like him.

I know it’s enough having him to be my friend but I really feel I should do this…I really need to know if he feels the same*

“It’s cold out here, is anything the matter?” WonWoo asked as Byul looked down

“Jogi…um…oppa” she said

“Wae~” WonWoo answered with a smile

“I…Jowahae” she said pushing the box of chocolates towards him as WonWoo stared at her

“But we are friends” WonWoo said as Byul looked at him
“I have always liked you since last year oppa…I know we are friends and I am happy with what we are now but I really like you and—”

“I think we should just be friends” WonWoo smiled as Byul stared at him

“W-Wae? You don’t like me?” she asked as WonWoo sighed a bit

“Byul-ah you are a really nice girl and I hope you’ll understand…” WonWoo said smiling a bit

“You’re a really good friend and if we really do get involved in a relationship then we might grow apart sooner or later—”

“Oppa, why are you lying? If you are rejecting me then just let me know” Byul said avoiding eye contact with WonWoo

“A-Ani I don’t mean that but—”
“Mianhae…I hope I didn’t do anything stupid to bug you…mianhae” she muttered running away

“Byul!” WonWoo called

“It’s going to rain now, do you have an umbrella?” he muttered and sighed

*Jeon WonWoo you pabo* he sighed

Byul ran down the stairs wiping her tears

*You pabo, you actually thought he’d like someone like you?*

Byul opened her locker and found a few letters and chocolates

*What’s the use of these if the one I love rejects me*

Mingyu watched from the distance

*Isn’t that WonWoo’s friend?* he thought

“Is she crying?” he muttered as she watched Byul run outside closing her locker

“But it’s raining outside” he muttered.

Byul ran outside as she cried

“I am the pabo…of course how can a Kingka like me” she muttered slowing her pace and sighed

She stood still and stared up

*Eomma, do I deserve this humiliation?*

“WHY THE HELL IS IT RAINING TODAY?!” she shouted

“Didn’t the weather forecast say it will be sunny?” she said again

“Maybe you read yesterday’s forecast” a voice said placing an umbrella over her head

“And you do have a cold you know that” he added as Byul looked at him
“K-Kim Mingyu” she muttered as Mingyu smiled a bit

“Did you get rejected by someone?” he asked

“yeah sure go on, ridicule me…” she muttered glaring at Mingyu

“I was just asking of the possibilities” Mingyu said as Byul walked away

“Leave me alone” she said leaving Mingyu behind

Byul continued walking in the rain when someone pulled her and she saw a car sped ahead of her
“Yah you could have got hit” Mingyu said

Byul looked at Mingyu shocked as he looked back holding the umbrella over her head and his hand holding her arm.
