Chapter 13

Everything is flowing as if nothing happened.

Saturday. The start of the weekend.

But for Min Yoongi, it was basically just another day to dread by.

Yoongi’s phone rang. It was the middle of the afternoon and he was not expecting any calls from his friends except for his clients.

He was puzzled when he saw his personal phone rang.

It was Kidoh.

The guy he spent his college days working music with.

“Hey, what's up?”

Yoongi picked up the phone.

“Hey bastard. Free? Let’s meet up.”

Kidoh was laughing on the line.

“Hyung, my name is Suga, not bastard.”

Yoongi replied as he fiddled with the papers in front of him.

It’s been a while since he last meet up with Kidoh.

He knew Seokjin was close with Kidoh hence; he tried to avoid Kidoh and the rest at all cost back then.

“Well, you name has changed ever since you become the main reason for Seokjin’s tears.”

Kidoh laughed again. Yoongi knew he wasn’t merely just laughing. He could sense the hint of sarcasm.

“Let’s meet up later. You’re knocking off at 2 pm right? I’ll forward you the meet up address. See you.”

And, he hung up his phone, leaving a confused Yoongi looking at the phone.

The main reason for Seokjin’s tears?

“What the hell? I did not even agree to meet up…”

--

“Hey.”

Kidoh greeted Yoongi and gestured Yoongi to come over to the seat.

Yoongi was surprised that Kidoh sent him an address to a café instead of a place that sells alcohol. Something was off but he could not register what was wrong.

“Hey.”

Yoongi tried to smile as he walked over.

“It’s been a while.”

Kidoh said as he placed his cup of coffee down on the saucer.

“Yeap, It’s been a while.”

Yoongi muttered.

A waitress came and asked what Yoongi would like to order.

“Early Grey latte please.”

The waitress nodded and took her leave.

“So what do you want to talk about?”

Yoongi asked as leaned back and cross his legs.

Kidoh paused for a moment. Yoongi realized that Kidoh’s focus was not on him. He kept looking pass Yoongi, focusing on the door.

“Look, if you want…”

Before Yoongi could continue, Kido interrupted him.

“I want to talk about him.”

Kidoh said as he pointed at the door.

Yoongi turned and to his surprise, he saw Seokjin walking in.

---

Seokjin regretted getting a hangover on a Saturday morning. It was the start of the weekend and it was meant to be the day where people woke up feeling afresh instead of pounding headaches.

He looked at the clock on wall.

It was 12:36 pm.

“God damnit.”

Seokjin winced in pain as he tried to get up.

He could not remember how he got back but he was glad that he made it back in one piece.

He needed to wash up and enjoy his weekend.

But soon as he opened his bedroom door, he smelt something delicious.

He followed the fragrance and to his surprise, it was Kidoh.

Kidoh was stiring the soup by the stove with Seokjin’s pink apron.

Seokjin felt like laughing but he held back. Because Kidoh would feel offended if Seokjin did that. It happened in the past before.

“Hey.”

Seokjin greeted and gave Kidoh a back hug.

“Hey, how are you feeling?”

Kidoh smiled as he scoop some soup into a bowl.

“Not really that good…”

Seokjin rested his chin on Kidoh’s shoulder.

He was glad that Kidoh was here. At least somebody could take care of him when he felt sick.

“Okay, the soup is done. Go over to the table there now.”

Kidoh pushed Seokjin away and placed the soup on the table.

“I need to wash up first.”

Seokjin replied.

Kidoh just laughed.

“No wonder smell something bad. I see, it was your bad breath.”

“Hey!”

Seokjin hit Kidoh by the arm.

“Rude….”

“Go. Go wash up now.”

Kidoh pushed Seokjin away again.

Seokjin followed his order and went to wash up.

But by the time he finished, he did not see Kidoh anywhere in his apartment.

All he saw was a note by the bowl of soup.

‘ I’ll be at this xxx café. Drink this soup and prepare yourself before heading out.

Remember to reach at around 2pm.’

Seokjin looked up at the clock on the wall. It was 1.15pm.

There was still some time before the meet up.

“This weirdo…”

--

By 2 pm, Seokjin found the café. The café was quite near to his apartment.

He pushed open the entrance and looked around.

Where was Kidoh?

Then by the time when he looked to his left, he saw Kidoh pointing at him, with a green haired guy’s back facing him.

No, it couldn’t be.

Seokjin thought.

As the chance would have it, the person turned around.

It was Min Yoongi.

---

Three of them were seated quietly, sipping on their drinks.

Kidoh decided to break the silence.

“So…. I’ll just get straight to the point.”

Yoongi narrowed his eyes as he looked at Kidoh, looking for answers.

Same for Seokjin, but in contrast, Seokjin had his eyes widened.

“Seokjin…. Had some troubles…”

Kidoh start off with some lightweight. He did not want to scare Seokjin away.

Troubles?

Seokjin did not really understand what Kidoh was talking about.

“He was in a bad mood last night,”

Kidoh continued but causing Seokjin to shoot up from his seat.

“and got terribly drunk.”

“Yah! Jin hyo sang!”

Seokjin quickly covered his mouth with his hand.

Kidoh was prying the away but to no avail.

Yoongi just looked at them, confused.

“Erm… there is nothing wrong.”

Seokjin turned to Yoongi and laughed dryly.

But deep down, Yoongi knew Seokji was hiding something from him.

Since when Seokjin would hide things from him? Was it about Seokjin’s tears?

Right….

Yoongi came to realize everything was different since three years ago.

Seokjin did not come to him any more.

No, it was Yoongi who shut him out.

Yoongi sighed and laughed.

“Look, if there’s nothing, I’m leaving.”

He stood up and left.

Kidoh’s voice muffled below Seokjin’s palm.

That was not what Kidoh wanted. He wanted them to talk!

As soon as Seokjin watched Yoongi left the café, he loosened his grip and sat back down to his seat.

“What are you doing?”

Kidoh almost yelled at Seokjin.

“I’ve could have help you!”

Seokjin did not want Kidoh to do anything.

All he wanted was just the safe distance, the safe distance between Yoongi and him.
