The stars lean down to kiss you,
And I lie awake and miss you,
Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere.
I'd doze off safe and soundly,
But I'll miss your arms around me,
I'd send a postcard to you dear,
Cos I wish you were here.
"Shin Hye-yaaaa... I miss you!" He complained into the phone.
She smiled wistfully.
"Yah. It's just been a week since you left." She replied back.
He grumbled something incoherently.
"Aww Jong Suk-ah. Do you really miss me so much?" She asked in a gentler voice.
He remained quiet for a few seconds. "What kind of question is that. Of course I do. You don't miss me." He said in a small sad voice.
She laughed. And it irked him to no end. There he was baring his heart out, telling her he missed her so much, and all she did was scold him and ask him if he meant it.
"Aww Sukie-ya. Are you angry at me?" She asked sweetly.
He grumbled again.
"Aigoo! What can we do? How will you last so many months in a new country, if you miss me so much already? Hmm.. Maybe you should just come back..." She said in a thoughtful voice.
"Yah!" He mumbled, "You know I can't come back."
She held back her laughter. He was such a kid at times. But then, so was she.
"Ahh.. It's okay Sukie-ya. You'll be home for the Valentine's weekend, anyway. It's just a week away from now. In less than seven days, you'll be here with me."
He sighed. Uh Oh. Sighing was not a good sign, she thought. He must be really missing home.
"Cheer up... Please?" She urged.
"Hmm." He replied.
She smiled at his apparent grumpiness. "Did you eat?"
"Hmm."
"Are you sleepy?" She pestered.
Another sigh. "No." He replied.
"Was the shooting good today?" She tried again.
"Hmm."
It was her turn to sigh. He really was angry.
"Sorry. Please don't be angry. I am sorry." She said, sounding low, all of a sudden.
That caught his attention.
"Yah. Don't do that. It's okay. I'm okay. It's just.." His voice trailed.
She ventured, "Just?"
"You don't miss me as much as I miss you."
She melted completely at that. "Awww baby! I do! I miss you so much. Everyday when I don't get to see your face, it hurts me physically, to count the days until you're back with me, in my arms, when I can actually touch you and kiss you and love you..."
"You mean it?" He said sounding slightly happy at her reply.
"Of course I do! I miss you so much. But we have to be strong, don't we? It's just a matter of a few months. And it's a really good project, isn't it? You remember all the discussions we had before you chose it, don't you?"
"Yes. I remember," he sighed. "But it doesn't make me miss you any less."
She laughed. The sound of her laughter made him feel more homesick.
"Yah! Ddochi... Finish filming fast and come back to me, okay?"
"Arrassoo," He mumbled.
Seven days never felt longer.
I'll watch the night turn light blue,
But it's not the same without you,
Because it takes two to whisper quietly.
The silence isn't so bad,
Till I look at my hands and feel sad,
Cos the spaces between my fingers
Are right where yours fit perfectly.
Long distance relationships were hard. She knew that very well. But she wasn't prepared for the huge gapping hole that she felt this time, when he had left for China. Maybe it was because they had spent the entire year glued to each other.
Ah, who was she kidding. They had been spending immense amount of time together, since their Pinocchio days.
She smiled as she remembered the early days of their romance. The entire shooting had been a pre-courtship period for them. He would flirt and mercilessly while they played and fooled around like kids. Almost everyone around them noticed the chemistry between them.
Most days they remained glued to each other like magnets. The shooting of the series passed by, in the blink of an eye. Th
