Filled with romance, angst and drama, The Road Unknown follows the story of a girl named Park Soo Min as she enters the harsh reality that idols live in and struggles to find her own identity as she travels down a path that leads to an uncertain future.

As a trainee at SM Entertainment, Soo Min is trained day and night in hopes of becoming a KPOP star, however she has to fight against 11 other girls who want the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of becoming an idol just as much as herself. Throughout their time at SM the girls come face to face with some of those whom have already made a name for themselves in the music industry, and feelings come bubbling to the surface as the group of trainees are taught the way of an idol by none other than the members of EXO.

Although Soo Min is determined to keep herself focused on her future, she finds herself questioning the rules that she promised herself to keep as the chemistry between herself and certain members begins to build.
