Chapter 5

 

Taeyang suddenly appear in the noodle shop.

“Yah! Chaerin!” he said.

CL looking at him in confuse. “Wha—“

“Oh, hello everyone.” He bowed to his senior. All of them looking at Taeyang.

“What are you doing here oppa? Weren’t you ju—“ CL said

“What happened to your phone??” he cuts her.

CL lifter her phone, its perfectly fine. “Nothing happen to it, didn’t I ju—“

“Your mom called me like ten thousand times looking for you, she said she can’t reach you. I tried to call you also but seems like your phone’s off.” He cuts CL again.

Now CL started to get what he means, he tried to save her from this situation.

“Omma is looking for me?”

He nodded.

“Oh my God, I forgot that I should go with her. I’d be dead if I don’t go.” She stood up immediately. “Everyone, I’m sorry that I should go first.” She bowed and leave.

GD scoffed, she should be the one who pay for their meal and now she’s just leave like that. Clearly money isn’t the matter for GD but he just annoyed of how she put this into acting. Yes, he obviously know that that was just acting.

Not long after CL left GD pays their bill and then ask for leave.

He drove his car along the road back to his house when he saw CL and Taeyang walking together on the sidewalk. He immediately following them. Don’t ask him why he did it, he just want to.

Suddenly CL stopped, she looked down and her shoulders shaking.

Is she crying? He thought.

Taeyang dragged her to a bench and ask her to sit there. After CL sat on the bench, Taeyang sits beside her and patted her back. He doesn’t seem to say anything or do anything to stop her from crying. He just patted her back continuously and wait for her to stop crying by herself.

 

CL walked in her neighborhood, after Taeyang saved her before, she walked him to his studio to work and then she was walking around by herself just to restore her mood until its around late at night.

She startled to see GD in front of her house fence.

“GD-ssi?” Her voice cracked.

“Drop the formalties in me.” he said.

“How do you know where I live?” she asked.

“I just knew.”

“Wh-what are you doing here?” she asked.

“I paid for our noodles.” He said.

“Oh my God!” CL covered . “You want me to pay you back now?”

GD doesn’t mean that but it does sounds like that. “No, no, I was just asking. I’m not gonna ask you to pay.”

“I will pay back to you later.” She said.

“No, no need…” he said.

“I’ll treat you meal, next time there would be no fraud.” She said.

“Why were you lying?” he asked.

“Huh?” she asked.

“I know you asked Taeyang to save you from that awkward situation in the noodle shop earlier.”

“How did you know?”

“Your acting was , CL…” he smirked.

CL bit her lip, “Well, you know, I was like that because… as you said, it was awkward.”

“But you shouldn’t leave me like that, it was also awkward for me because I don’t really know them.”

“But you know Xin and TOP oppa, they’re in the same batch with you before, right?” CL said.

“Yes, but you leave such a strange awkward atmosphere, so nobody really talk, beside, there’s that girl called Kiko who didn’t stop talking and asking me some random question about my family business.” He shrugged.

CL couldn’t help but chuckle. Nobody reject Kiko before this.

“I’m so sorry, I should just ask you to go with me instead of leaving you there. I’m truly sorry.”

“It’s okay.” He sighed. “If leaving with you means to see you cry like that. I can’t either.”

CL alerted. She looking at the figure in front of her.

“You saw me crying?” she asked.

GD nodded

“Wh-when? where? Why you can’t stand to see me cry?” she's so confuse.

“I don’t know either. I also don’t know why I took a U-turn to come here while I almost reach my house earlier.”

CL feels her heart bumping. Why did he say something like this? Is this means anything for him? Is this means something for me? her head full of question.

“You owe me too many things, CL.” He said.

“Like what?”

“Promises you never fulfill and answers to the questions I have in my head right now.” He said.

“Seriously, i'm confuse right now."

"Just pay it all back soon."

"I can pay the noodle now." she said.

"Its not about paying that goddamn noodle, CL!! its not about the money!" he got fristrated for no reason, probably the reason is because he couldn't understand what is happening now and why he's acting like this.

CL holds her breathe, "GD? A-are you... okay?"

He sighed. "Well, i'm sorry, i just got confuse because of something." he lied. "I'll see you at campus, bye, good night." he walked towards his car and left CL hanging.

CL run to her room an peeked from her window that faced the road in front of her house. He saw GD’s car is still there but slowly moving and then left.

She sighed.

She couldn’t help but thinking about what happened. Today has been a strange and tiring day for her. first is she has to prepare all the works for YG anniversary, and then suddenly So Hyuk appear and it makes her heart feels so heavy and the last is GD suddenly in front of her house just telling her random stuff about his confusions.

“I’m confuse too!” she talked to herself.

CL took a charger cable from her drawer when she saw a book, a school guideline book, always handed over every student council’s president. There’s somekind of short profile of all presidents in the book. And her profile is side by side with So Hyuk’s.

She feels sting in her heart.

She remembers after Taeyang pick her at the noodle shop, they walked together towards his dancing studio.

“Are you ok?” Taeyang asked, “Sorry, that was rhetorical. You’re obviously not okay.”

“No, I’m fine, oppa.”

He scoffed. “yeah right.”

“It was awkward, that’s why I’m asking you to rescue me.”

“How it feels to seeing him again after… how long?”

“I don’t know, three months? Last time was when he, TOP oppa and Xin oppa graduated.” CL said.

“So?”

“How it feels?” she asked. Taeyang nodded. “strangely, it still hurt in here.” She pointed her chest.

“That’s normal.”

“He asked me how am I doing.” She scoffed. “he really doesn’t care, does he? He probably already have a official relationship with that Japanese girl.”

“If he asked you means that he cared.”

“I can’t even see him in the eye, while he could easily asked me how am I doing, oppa. Means that he already feels casual towards me. I’m the only person whose hurt from our broken relationship.”

Taeyang smiled. “he must have been hurt too, but he could hide it better than you.”

“he just don’t care, oppa, I gotta admit that.” Then she scoffed. “why am I even talking about this? Not that I still want him, but—“

she suddenly stop and looked down. Her tears flowing down to her cheek without she realizes it.

Taeyang saw it and dragged her to a bench.

“Sit.” He said.

CL sit down and Taeyang sat beside her.

She sat on the edge of her bed. When suddenly her phone beeping.

Home already?

 

To: taeyang Oppa

Yes. You know what, GD suddenly appear in front of my house and—

 

She stopped typing and deleted it all.

Taeyang is good looking, he has the cutest smiling eyes ever, his dedication for dancing is over the top, his skill and professionalism also unquestionable. He’s a good companion in any situation.
