I lied.

I clearly heard what Yixing was saying before Baekhyun’s call came in. At first, when I saw his face flushing and him being in a daze, I thought he had a fever. But… He shouldn’t. To make things not more awkward, I just lied that I wasn’t paying attention to him. I deeply sent my gratitude towards Baekhyun secretly for great timing.

I have never felt this awkward air with Yixing before.

He’s just a fiancé for me but I… I never thought he would think of me this way. It changes everything. Does he like me when I tried so hard not to get married to him and try to get Kris involved. I didn’t take any part in kidnapping but whatever my part is in this case, I think I somehow wronged Yixing.

I gladly went over Baekhyun and Chanyeol side. Baekhyun eyed me as soon as he noticed something is not right between us. He is quick like this.

I told them in summary about my theory. Chan Yeol is in awe. He likes it way too much.

“You looked human.” Chanyeol looked at all over me.

“I am human.” I rolled my eyes.

“You just said you think you are not.”

“That’s just stupid thought. He confused me. But… I don’t know anymore.”

How many sane people in this world going around and thinking they might not be human? I am insane.

Suho is startled. He turned his head to the direction of voice and saw Kris. Kris?

“Who says he is?” Baek Hyun said. I take a look at Yixing who’s now staring at Kris quite intently.

“He’s thinking as if he’s insane.”

“Ookay. What’s going on here? Are you an angel?” Chan Yeol asked and I wanna hit him in the head. Baek Hyun did it for me.

“Stop being amused by this.”

“Wae? It felt like drama. What’s wrong with enjoying it?”

Baekhyun shook his head in surrendering manner.

“Tell me. Please,… Sehun could do the same. That… mind reading thing.”

“YOU COULD READ MIND???” Chanyeol and Baekhyun asked at the same time.

“Thank you, Lay… no, Yixing.”

“Okay, you two! Stop thinking in the head. Say it out loud. To understand, we need both sides of conversation.” Chan Yeol said and gain a smirk from Kris.

“He believed me.”

Yixing blinked. His expression didn’t change much. I can’t understand why Yixing is so cold towards Kris but then I remembered. Kris Yixing. I suddenly felt anger towards Kris and guilt for my selfishness.

“So, I can’t tell you anything. Details or in general.”

“What? Then, what are you doing here if you can’t tell us anything?” Chan Yeol said.

 “Listen, patient. You, human are so annoying.”

Chanyeol rolled his eyes at Kris.

“I can’t tell you because your memories were locked away by someone powerful. God. Something, I think words, I don’t know what is, is triggered like an alarm. He knew when someone tried to tell something. The day your dad took you home, have you ever wondered how did he find Sehun’s house? Something you said triggered the alarm. It’s not about you remembered the past or not because back then, you obviously didn’t know his true identity or yours. I suspected it was you. But I’m just guessing.
