Look at that girl over there

Trying her best to hide what she feels

But I could see right through her

All of her dangerous, little lies

She seems so happy with that innocent smile

And her eyes would tell you

“It’s all right, I’m fine”

Watch as her soul dies

Look at her heart

The torn pieces so delicate

Like a painting with intricate patterns

That’s who she is, the pretender

Her mind is filled with nightmares

People glaring, people yelling

She tries to erase them all

But she just can’t

Oh, she’s looking at me

She’s staring deep in my eyes

No, wait, that’s not right

Why am I the only one in sight?
