It was a big garden—with big trees all over the garden, Wonwoo and I was there—sitting together on the bench while looking at each other—He was quite as usual. I keep observing his face as I smile; I reach out my hand—trying to touch his face—

And the sounds of my alarm just stop me from reach out my hand and wake me up

I look at my clock in daze—

Why did you ring?

It was Sunday morning! The day to be lazy and lay in bed all day long—but not for me

After a quick shower, I dashing out from my room and greet my mum who is busy ‘talking’ with her flowers. She always did that every morning. She said flowers can listen to her—I found it absurd.

“Going to your part time job?” Mum shouts from her mini garden

“Yes!” I replied as I wear my snickers. “Stop talking with your flowers!” I shout before I leave the house.

It’s been a while since I work as a part timer in “Glory Bookstore”. It is a small bookstore own by a very young handsome man, Hongbin, one of the neighboorhood that I know since I was a kid. I used to come there as a customer before this—I enjoyed reading and weirdly I like the smell of books—especially new books that just arrived from the publisher. That’s how I end up asking Hongbin, they want a part timer—and he said yes!

I usually come to work only on Sunday but if we are in holiday then I will come here every day or thrice a week. Helping people who also like to read like me give me enjoyments.

“Good morning!” I greet Hongbin as I walk into the bookstore, “Morning Byul” he greet me back as he walk out from the counter. “You’ve got your favorite job today” he said as he pat my shoulder. I look upward and frown. “Oh no!” I exclaimed—“Oh no~~ new books arrived—right?” I throw bait and he nodding as he smile.

I look at the mountain of boxes in dazed—“Hongbin you know I cannot handle this alone right?” I shout. “Don’t worry someone that I know will come and help you” I hear his screaming from the outside—“Did you know that you are so stingy—go and find another part timer” I shout again as I begin to rip the boxes. “Fighting Lee Byulmi!”

I finally done organizing three out of ten boxes of books—I look at my watch and it have been an hour since I was sitting in this small store—I was hungry and sweating. I angrily stand up and dashing out from the store and shout. “Where your “someone that I know” will come?”

My jaw drop when I saw Wonwoo was there, standing beside Hongbin and it seems like he was surprise as well—oh god what is this coincidence

“I’m about to bring him inside—meet my cousin—Wonwoo” Hongbin introduce him to me, “That is Byul” he continued. I awkwardly smile as I said, “Hi”

Hongbin left after he bring us back to the store—I awkwardly kneeling as I pick up few books and then I turn back and shove the books to him—“I already label this book—can you bring this and asks Hongbin where should we put this books?” I said as I look at him—Wonwoo awkwardly smile as he take the books and leave

It feels like my life was shortening for hundred years. I take a deep breath as I slap my face—“wake up Lee Byulmi—it’s time to work”

I continue my job as I trying to take another box—the box is as heavy as a big stone, I slowly take the box on the floor and turn back—planning to bring the box to the small table at the corner of the store

I startles in surprise when Wonwoo already there standing behind me—“I’ll take this” he said as he take the box from me—“Why don’t you just label the books while I’ll help you to organize it” he give me a suggestion.

“Sure”

“Here—go and get something to drink” Hongbin said as he put ten dollar notes on the table, Wonwoo and I look at him in surprise, “Ohhh Lee Hongbin” I begin to , “What is wrong with you” I continued, Hongbin frown and he tried to take back the money—but I was faster—“Thank you sir!” I exclaimed as I already stand up and pull Wonwoo’s hand and both of us run away from the bookstore.

“Hmmm” I humming as I play with the money, “What should we drink” I mumbles, “What do you want to drink?” I ask as I look at Wonwoo. He smile as he shrugs, “Anything—am fine with anything” he replied.

Both of us awkwardly sit in front of each other with a glass of juice and a plate of doughnuts on the table. I want to start the conversation but I don’t have any idea in my mind—I wish he start the conversation but we both know that he won’t start any of conversation

“I’m sorry about the blind dates” he suddenly apologized. I look at him and shook my head, “Don’t worry—you didn’t do anything wrong” I replied. “I heard that you want me to be there—and I don’t want to make Soonyoung disappointed” he continued. “I never went to any blind dates before so that’s why I’m kind of awkward” he explain.

“But you always awkward” I mumbles,

“Eh!? What did you said?” he ask, and I shook my head as I denied it, “nothing”

“I just—want to be your friend—that’s why I’m asking Soonyoung to invite you” I explain

Wonwoo look at me and smile, “But I’m not a good friend—I don’t know how to make friend” he replied

“Then you can start it with me?” I suggest and both of us look at each other for a second before I look away because of the embarrassment.

“Sure” he exclaimed, “Let’s be friend”
