asleep as soon as the car starts moving
City lights at the break of dawn - red, orange, white, yellow - pass through her line of vision, whether it be from restaurants or fast food chains, buildings, or cars for that matter. She had just sat at the very back of the bus a few seconds ago, beside the window, like usual. It became a habit, a satisfying one that doesn't turn boring the moment you get used to it. The city life does get tiring, she admits, yet she cannot deny that it has its charms. She leans by the window while admiring the bright and colorful city, the still busy people even in the evening's glory, and ever so slowly without further ado her eyelids flutter close. This too became a habit - falling asleep in the drop of a needle with the city lights as the backdrop.
A tranquil slumber after a gruesome school day. Her mind takes a short nap every time the car engine starts and the wheels take her to a short journey home.
At the next bus stop, three passengers hopped out.
Still, the young student sleeps like a log.
The bus pulled up again, this time, with a new passenger in tow. He noticed the girl sitting at the back, sleeping soundly, and headed there to sit next to her making sure to keep his distance and not make any noise
