" Hey, Leeteuk-ah! ", shouted Kangin happily as he hugged the bespectacled boy tight.

" Aish! I told you to call me hyung, you little brat! I'm older than you! ", laughed Leeteuk as he returned the hug.

" Yeah, yeah. So, how was the meeting with the Board today, hyung? ", asked Kangin.

" Long and boring. I don't know how I'm gonna get through the day with this amount of paperwork. ", sighed Leeteuk as he stared at the mountain of papers in his hands.

" You need help, hyung? ", asked Kangin as he took half of the papers from his best friend.

" Ne. Gomawo, Kangin-ah. ", smiled Leeteuk gratefully.

" Hey, I heard that one of my friends has just opened a new café called Sweet Tooth Delights. Why don't we head there and have a bite to eat? ", asked Kangin cheerfully.

" I was just about to suggest the same thing! ", said Leeteuk shocked.

" Well, let's go then! Ka ja! ", chuckled Kangin.

" Arasso. ", laughed Leeteuk as the both of them headed off in the direction of the shop.

" Hyung? Leeteuk hyung? Are you home? ", called Kangin as he stepped through the front door that was left ajar.

There was no response. The house was deathly quiet. You could have heard a pin drop in the deafening silence.

" Leeteuk hyung? ", called Kangin again, but nervously this time.

He didn't like this silence. It was too quiet. WAY too quiet.

* THUD! *

A dull thud snapped him out of his fear. It was coming from upstairs. Without hesitating, Kangin raced upstairs.

* THUD! *

The dull thudding sounded again from Leeteuk's bedroom. Kangin dashed towards the open door and looked in, only to have a appalling sight meet his eyes.

Leeteuk lay on the floor, drenched in sweat, and panting heavily. His breathing was hoarse and wheezy as he gasped dryly for air. His forehead was prespiring rapidly and his hands gripped the rug on the floor so tight that the fabric ripped slightly. His skin was now pallid and clammy-looking. His eyes were squeezed shut and his features were contorted with agony.

" Teukie hyung! ", shouted Kangin as he knelt down beside the elder.

A weak cough escaped the elder's purplish lips and his eyes opened.

" Hyung! ", said Kangin again worriedly.

" K--K--K--K--Kang--Kangi--i--in-ah... ", gasped Leeteuk breathlessly.

" What happened?! What's wrong with you?! ", asked Kangin.

" M--m--me--med--medi--c--ci--cine's o--ov--v--ver t--t--th--the--there... ", wheezed Leeteuk.

With what seemed like an impossible effort that required superhuman strength, Leeteuk weakly raised a finger and pointed to a couple of bottles and pills that sat on the bedside table. Kangin's gaze followed his hyung's bony finger and landed on the medicines sitting there.

Kangin grabbed the medicines and showed them to Leeteuk. The elder pointed to a bottle that contained a gloopy brown liquid. The latter grabbed a ceramic teaspoon that lay on the bedside table and poured the mixture onto the spoon.

Propping his hyung up, Kangin held the spoon to Leeteuk's lips. Leeteuk felt the tip of the spoon touching his almost numb mouth and weakly opened his mouth to take the medicine. Kangin guided the spoon into his hyung's mouth.

As Leeteuk swallowed the medicine, he pointed to another bottle of small, yellow and blue pills. Kangin grabbed the bottle and shook some pills out into his open hand. He showed them to the elder.

Leeteuk groggily reached out and took two of the pills. Weakly, he downed the pills in one go. Kangin handed him a glass of water and gently tipped the water into his hyung's mouth.

After Leeteuk had finished drinking, he tried to stand up on unsteady feet. But his weak knees gave way and he collapsed. He would've hit his head on the ground if Kangin didn't catch him in his strong arms.

The latter brought the elder to the bed and laid him on top of the satin sheets. As he pulled the first layer of the thick satin blankets over his hyung, he heard a weak, warm voice say something.

" ...hank...ou...angin... ", whispered the voice.

" What? ", asked Kangin confused.

" Thank you, Kangin... ", reiterated the small voice.

Kangin looked at Leeteuk who was weakly smiling at him. That smile was enough to make his heart skip a beat.

" You're welcome. ", whispered Kangin gently.

He stayed by Leeteuk's side till the elder fell asleep. Kangin stood up and brushed a lock of chestnut brown hair from Leeteuk's flawless face. He took a long look at the serenely sleeping man.

His long, adorable lashes cast minute shadows on his milky complexion. Chestnut brown, shoulder-length hair cascaded down onto the snow white pillows. His once purple lips had now become the color of light salmon.

" Teukie, what had happened to you back there? What's wrong with you? ", thought Kangin before he left the room in silence, deep in thought.

" We're god knows how many miles away from home and all you can think about is having fun?! ", shouted Leeteuk angrily.

" Lighten up a little, Teukie hyung! I know that we're s'posed to try and save the kingdom from falling into complete havoc and all, but try to have a little fun once in a while at least! ", retorted Kangin.

" The kingdom's safety is what concerns me! Our friends are in danger! Our families are in danger! ", shouted Leeteuk again.

" I know, but it's so boring to always be serious and stuff! ", sighed Kangin exasperatedly.

" YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! LIVES ARE IN DANGER! THE KINGDOM'S IN DANGER! LIVES MAY BE IN JEOPARDY RIGHT NOW! AND ALL YOU CAN THINK OF IS HAVING FUN, FUN, FUN!!! ", screamed an enraged Leeteuk.

" I DO CARE FOR THE KINGDOM TOO, BUT JUST HAVE A LITTLE FUN AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR LIFE, HYUNG! YOU'RE WAY TOO SERIOUS AT TIMES! ", shouted Kangin.

" AND YOU PLAY TOO MUCH AT TIMES! THERE ARE TIMES TO PLAY AND TIMES TO BE SERIOUS, YOU KNOW! YOU THINK THAT THE ENEMY KINGDOM IS JUST GONNA SIT THERE AND WAIT FOR US TO FINISH PLAYING AND LOLLYGAGGING ABOUT?! WHAT KIND OF A FRIEND ARE YOU IF YOU KEEP DELAYING US WITH ALL THIS NONSENSE AND FRIVOLITY?! ", raged Leeteuk.

The elder's words cut into the latter's heart like a blade. It made a major 'ouch' in his heart. Tears started building up in his eyes and threatened to flow down endlessly.

" B--b--but--but, hyung-- ", stuttered the latter.

" Just stop, Kangin. Just shut up. ", said Leeteuk and disappeared into the dark forest.

" Kangin-ah! ", shouted Leeteuk as he watched his friend collapse at his feet in a heap.

Leeteuk ran to the latter's side. Kangin groaned as he held his side. Leeteuk took Kangin's hand away and saw a deep crimson rapidly staining Kangin's shirt.

Blood.

And it was gushing out.

Frightened, Leeteuk laid his hands on Kangin's wound and concentrated really hard, muttering a secret healing spell as he went.

His hands started to glow a bright sapphire blue. Kangin gasped in pain as the energy disintergrated into little, sapphire blue streams and disappeared into his wounded area.

Leeteuk continued to mutter the spell as the energy coursed through Kangin's side and healing it slowly, but surely. Kangin squirmed in discomfort as the healing's final stages took place inside his body.

When the healing was completed, Leeteuk removed his hands. There was blood on Kangin's shirt, but when he lifted the latter's shirt a little to see whether the wound was still there, there was nothing but a long white scar from which the arrow has scraped his friend.

" Hyung, have you ever fallen in love with someone and you can't do anything about it because there are certain rules and regulations? ", asked Kangin.

" Ani. Waeyo? ", asked Leeteuk.

" Well, I'm in love...with someone. ", asked Kangin.

" Oooooh, jinja~? Is she pretty? ", asked Leeteuk with a smile.

Kangin swallowed the lump rising in his throat. Trying to confess to someone you love was harder then he thought. Well, to him.

" Well, more than just pretty. The someone I'm in love with is...kind, caring, smart, friendly and gentle. This person is like family to me. But that person is of higher status than I am. ", answered Kangin slowly.

Leeteuk put a finger to his chin and tapped it thoughtfully. Kangin looked at him, waiting for his hyung's response.

" Well, I think you should tell that person you love how you feel for them. Make your feelings known to her. You have to tell that person or else you may suffer even worse heartbreak in the future. ", replied Leeteuk as he laid back on the grass.

Kangin laid down next to Leeteuk and leaned over him. Leeteuk noticed this and tensed up a little. Kangin reached his hand out and caressed Leeteuk's cheek gently.

" K--K--Kangin-ah, what are you d--do--doing? ", stuttered Leeteuk nervously.

Without responding, Kangin pressed his lips against Leeteuk's gently at first. The elder was so stunned by the latter's action that he didn't move away. Kangin deepened the kiss as he held the nape of Leeteuk's neck with one hand and supported his hyung's back with his other.

" Mmmh! ", muttered Leeteuk urgently under his breath.

Kangin ignored it and continued to deepen the kiss. As he did so, he felt a hand pressing the back of his head towards Leeteuk's face and another hand around his waist.

" Omo! Mian--mianhae, K--K--Kangin-ah-- ", stuttered Leeteuk again, but he was silenced by Kangin's warm lips against his.

As Kangin broke off from their kiss once more, he cupped Leeteuk's cheek with one hand and said the words he had been longing to say for an eternity...

" I love you, Leeteuk hyung. "
