Free My Heart“Aeri, stay here and whatever happens don’t move.” Dongwoo pushed her into a payphone booth.
“Oppa…where are you going?” She whispered.
“I swear I saw them run this way!” A husky voice roared.
He quickly took off his necklace and bracelet and slipped it onto Aeri’s neck and wrist.
The two things Dongwoo had cherished so much.
He was giving them to her.
“Keep these with you. If something happens to me, go back and find Howon. He’ll know what to do. He’ll protect you. He’ll take over my place. Remember Howon.”
“No…no one can replace you.” She cried faintly.
Dongwoo didn’t respond.
“Oppa. No, please!” Aeri begged holding onto his arm with wary.
“I have to.” He kissed her on the forehead.
Aeri bit down on her lips and covered he ears as she heard cries of pain echo in the alley along with gunshots.
Tears flooded her eyes knowing Dongwoo was out there.
She’d just lost her brother.
And now she’d lose her first love.
Aeri waited for what felt like hours.
“Oppa.” She spoke when he returned.
Dongwoo grabbed Aeri’s hand and ran without looking back.
“Oppa you’re bleeding!” She cried when she saw the wound in his lower abdomen.
“I’m fine.” He lied.
“He’s there! Get them!” The same husky voice called from behind them.
Aeri turned and made eye contact with one of the men.
