Free My Heart“Happy Birthday!” L was showered with confetti the moment he entered the apartment.
“What is this?” L jumped.
“Surprise?” Sungyeol laughed.
“I told you guys not to!” A smile grew on L’s face.
“Quickly blow out the candles!” Woohyun held a cake in front of L’s face.
“So what did you wish for?” Sungyeol asked.
“If he tells, it won’t come true!” Hoya reminded.
“Right...anywho. We have the entire evening planned. First we’ll - ”
“Sorry, I kinda have plans.” L interrupted.
“Without us?!” Sungyeol pouted.
“Who do you have plans with?” Woohyun raised his eyebrows.
“It’s Miri nuna isn’t it?!” Hoya blurted, earning a glare from L.
“Miri?” Sungyeol and Woohyun turned to L.
“Yea, you know the girl hyung met at his last photoshoot?” Hoya continued.
“Oh! The photographer?!” Sungyeol got excited.
“Awww!! L and Miri sitting in a tree …” Sungyeol began to teased until L tackled him.
“So is this a date?” Sungyeol switched positions locking L under him.
“It’s nothing. Just a simple hangout.” L pushed Sungyeol off.
“Right, on your birthday. It’s totally just a hangout.” Woohyun laughed.
“I can’t believe L’s finally found love.” Sungyeol sighed. “I’m so proud of you.”
“Now, when is it your turn?” Sungyeol turned to Hoya.
“Me? What about me?” Hoya avoided eye contact.
“Ha, looks like you’re on your own kid.” L laughed before he left he apartment.
“Come on, there has to be pretty girls at school.” Woohyun followed him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Of course you do. I’ve heard a thing or two from Sungjong. There’s girls at school who are practically throwing themselves at you.” Sungyeol laughed.
“No there aren’t.”
“Then explain all those letters we find in our mailbox.” Woohyun added.
“Whatever, they’re not my type.”
“Then who is your type.” Sungyeol blurted.
There was a moment of awkward silence as the three exchanged glances.
“No comment.” Hoya answered.
“You’re not still waiting for her, are you?” Woohyun asked as Hoya walked away.
Hoya stopped, taken aback by Woohyun’s words.
“You know she’s never coming back…”
Each word was a stab at Hoya’s heart.
“You need to learn to let go. She’s gone, just like Sunggyu and Dongwoo hyung.”
Hoya clenched his fists and let out a deep sigh.
“I know. Just give me until my birthday. If she doesn’t come back by then…I’ll move on.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”

“So what are you doing over the break?” Joshua asked.
“Break?” Aeri looked up from her food.
“We have a two-week break starting Monday.” He said handing Aeri his cup of strawberries.
“We do?” Aeri’s eyes widened.
“You didn’t know?”
Aeri shook her head.
