Thirty Five
Free My HeartHyunsik froze.
It was Aeri.
He had found finally her.
But he wasn’t the only one to find her.
Someone else also called her name.
He was on the other side of Aeri.
It was Hoya.
“Of course.” Hyunsik thought.
When Aeri looked up, she couldn’t describe what she was feeling inside.
Someone has finally found her.
She let out a huge sigh as a cloud of breath escape and into the cold air.
Aeri walked towards Hoya and rested her head on his chest as the tears she had held in escaped.
Hoya wrapped his arms around Aeri.
He held onto her like he wasn’t going to let go.
He just wanted her to know that she was safe.
Aeri took a deep breath and she could smell Hoya’s scent.
The one that brought her comfort.
But this only made her cry more.
Aeri was confused. She no longer knew what was real and what wasn’t.
Just earlier he had given her to cold shoulder but now he held her in his arms.
She was scared, scared that he would turn cold again.
She was tired of his mind games.
“I can’t do this.” Aeri pushed him away.
Suddenly the memory Dongwoo and her being in Howon’s apartment popped into her head.
“Howon ah, help me. Make sure she doesn’t bite her tongue from the pain.” The boy from her dreams said. Then she bit down on someone’s palm.
His face was blurry. The memory was broken and unclear.
But the scent. It was familiar.
“Howon?” Aeri repeated.
“Huh?” Hoya looked at her wondering if he had heard wrong.
She shook her head and hit her fists against her temples trying to remember who he was.
She needed to because then she could remember the boy from her dreams and the rest of her past.
“Aeri what’s wrong?” Hoya asked taking a step closer to her.
It was the same scent…she shut her eyes and thought harder.
“Aeri? Aeri?” Hoya called but she was too deep in thought replaying that memory.
Then her eyes shot open and she stared at Hoya.
It was him.
Hoya was Howon.
She had been in his apartment before.
They met before she lost her memories that's why his scent was so familiar.
“If he’s Howon why didn’t he said anything?” She thought.
Instead of being happy, she was scared.
“Why did he not tell me? This makes no sense.” Aeri shook her head and backed away slowly.
“It can’t be you, why is it you?” She muttered.
“Aeri what are you talking about?” He worried.
“Did we meet before I transferred?” She looked at Hoya and asked.
Hoya was startled by her question.
“Aeri? Are you okay?” He asked.
“Just answer my question, did we know each other from the past?” She demanded an answer.
“No.” He said, which wasn’t a complete lie.
“He’s lying. Why is he lying.” She shook her head.
“Aeri what’s wrong?” He approached her but she turned around and ran off until she bumped into someone.
Aeri looked up and met eyes with Hyunsik.
“Aeri, I’m sorry.” Hyunsik thought back to a f
