Chapter 10:

That evening, Seungyoon was more than sure of his decision.

He absolutely had to prevent Sora to do something stupid which was sneaking into a club to meet her boyfriend.

Even thought she might never return his feelings, he has to do everything to protect her from any harm.

She was the one who made it possible for him to gain friends. She made the light appear at the end of the dark tunnel where he was trapped in a desperate search for an exit. She made him forget all his past pains with only being by his side.

He has to help her. He has to protect her. He has to prevent her from doing anything stupid which she might later regret.

That’s why at quarter to ten, Seungyoon sat incognito in a casual classic-styled outfit, which consisted of a white shirt, a dark navy jacket, dark pants and sunglasses with a brown cap on his head, in the furthest seat near the window of the café opposite the club.

He came half an hour earlier to observe the entrance and the surroundings of the club. A long queue was in front of the black double door which was guarded by three bulky grim-looking bouncers. They checked every single one in the queue before letting them enter.

How the heck does she plan on entering this place when they control every single ID?

Suddenly a flashy red Ferrari pulled up in front of a club and a young man in sunglasses got out with a girl in his arms. He got greeted with handshakes and pats on his shoulder as he passed his keys to one of the bouncers who acted as a valet and drove the expensive car away. The man was able to enter without a check.

Must be a VIP... everything in life went easier with the right connections.

Seungyoon flinched when a loud yell rung through the café.

“Hey, I ing won alright! It was my turn now!”

Seungyoon turned to the front where some tables away from him, near the entrance, a group of boys settled down mere minutes after his own arrival here. He rolled his eyes in annoyance. They acted as if they owned the place: yelling, shouting, laughing and chatting loudly; causing lots of noise.

“Oh, really? Shut up before I kick your !”

“As if you can! Just wait until we’re in LEGEND, I’ll make you eat the dust with my champion hands!”

Seungyoon didn’t even try to understand what the other wanted to say with that sentence but his interest was piqued when the boy who sat with his back to him, mentioned the club.

He scrutinised the group of nine boys in front of him.

They wanted to go into the club too?

He snorted.

Well, good luck with that!

The boys who looked barely old enough to go clubbing, were dressed like a bunch of delinquents, ready to roam the streets to mug people and steal cars.

Usually, Seungyoon wouldn’t be so judging towards people who didn’t dress like all the others, heck he was one of them too, but these boys acted so rude and mannerless, he couldn’t help but feel that way.

They even bragged about going to LEGEND.

Did they even check beforehand what kind of club it is? It was an exclusive club which didn’t let everyone enter.

First, one had to have money. Lots of it.

Secondly, the dress code. One had to look good enough for such a place.

Third, one had to ing please the bouncers who have every right to refuse entry if they don’t want to.

The guys didn’t fit in any of the three needed categories, they wore ripped jeans and coloured shirts, some even revealing their numerous tattoos, leather jackets in either bright red or plain black. Trendy sneakers and caps and sunglasses in every shape and form; street style but not suitable for one of the most expensive clubs in town where people dressed in a chic style.

Seungyoon doubted it, even if they would have that much money, they wouldn’t be let in.

His eyes wandered back to the entrance of the club and widened when they found a familiar figure standing there.

A girl, dressed in a simple pair of dark skinny jeans and a white top with frills which was just long enough to not be called a belly top. She wore a black leather jacket and a pair of simple black high heels. She was holding a black clutch purse in her hands which had a sparkling stone in the middle. Her slightly wavy hair framed her beautiful face. Smoky eyes looked around the street and she pursed her pink lips.

Seungyoon couldn’t believe it. She was even more beautiful than usual.

Suddenly someone hung himself on her arm, startling her. But upon recognising the boy she broke into a smile. Another red haired boy appeared and hugged her from behind.

Seungyoon recognised them. It was the fighting boy from the park and that deep voice guy from her house. P.O, was his name?

One of them was her boyfriend? That couldn’t be. They didn’t act as a couple when they were at the park.

Deep in thoughts, Seungyoon missed the fact that they crossed the street and headed for the café he was sitting at. He pulled a little on his cap to cover his face and hoped she wouldn’t notice him even thought he had his sunglasses on. There would be no problem, right? After all, the boys near the entrance were wearing some too, despite it being night-time.

“Sora!” The noise level rose again as she entered with her two friends.

“What’s up!” She yelled back with a huge grin on her face.

The boys got up and went to hug her.

“She’s friends with those guys?” Seungyoon murmured under his breath. “What the heck is going on?”

There was only one boy with sunglasses who sat at the head of the table who didn’t go to her to greet her. He just stood there with crossed arms, waiting for his friends to release her.

He wore olive green pants with white dots on them and a simple black T-Shirt which revealed his tattoo covered arms. His dark green leather jacket was hanging on his chair.

When Sora spotted him after being finally released from the group of laughing boys, her grin grew even bigger as she ran to him. “Cappie!”

He caught her in his arms and spun her around, holding her tightly. He then kissed her on her forehead and she giggled.

Seungyoon’s jaw dropped, he could only stare in shock.

That’s her boyfriend?

“C’mon now! Let’s go!” One of the other boys yelled as they made their way outside.

“I have to pay for this round.” Her boyfriend shrugged his shoulders and went to pay. She took his jacket and clung at his arm as they both caught up to their friends in front of the club.

The bouncers’ mines lightened up as they greeted the group inside with friendly handshakes.

No dress code check, no ID check.

“What the heck is going on? She was let in just like that?” Seungyoon was utterly confused.

“This is definitely not her first time going there.” He concluded. “What kind of friends does she have for ’s sake?”

Rich enough to buy themselves in everywhere with even the worst fitting clothes.

Seungyoon got up, put some cash on the table and left the café in a hurry. He approached the entrance under the stares of the currently two bouncers there.

“You’ lost, kid?” One of them raised his eyebrow. “This isn’t a playground.”

His colleague laughed as Seungyoon’s expression remained blank.

“No, you’re going to let me in.” He replied challenging.

The bouncer who was amused a second ago turned immediately serious at the snobbish tone and approached him.

Trick number one, intimate your opponent by approaching very close. If he backs off for a millimetre, you won.

The bouncer whispered closely in his ear. “Get lost or we’re going to make you and that I can reassure you, won’t be as nice as you think it will.”

Trick number two, whisper threats in the ears, the weak will flee in no time.

Seungyoon raised his brow provocatively. He knew how to push buttons.

The bouncer clearly angered by the younger boy’s attitude, stepped back and crossed his muscular arms in front of him.

Trick number three, intimate your opponent by showing your muscles aka just how strong you are.

Seungyoon broke into a devilish grin. These old-school tricks don’t work on him, he’s too much of a pro to be intimated by such basic tricks.

“Let me inside.” He repeated, quite bored by the bouncer’s actions.

“Get lost. This is my last warning before it gets uncomfortable.”

“You have to let me in after all you let someone else my age in without any problems.”

The bouncer laughed dully and pointed behind him at the club. “21 years minimum. No exceptions.”

“Well, how come Kim Sora got in then?” Seungyoon was waiting for the expected reaction.

The bouncer raised his eyebrows as his mine became neutral again. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. No one under 21 is allowed inside.”

“How about we let the police check, then?” Seungyoon could sense it, he was almost there.

“You little...” The bouncer grabbed him by his collar and dragged him to his colleague. “This one’s causing trouble, unwanted trouble.”

The other scanned Seungyoon but seemed to understand and did a quick body check on the boy before he nodded. “Take him to the office.”

Bingo.

Once inside, they went through a short hallway and entered the main hall.

Light were flashing, loud music was playing, people were dancing, drinking and making out. The place was filled, as expected from a usual Friday night.

Seungyoon was dragged to the right, to a big door at the end of the room. ‘PRIVATE’ was written on it with capital letters.

As the bouncer used one of his arms to punch the code in to unlock the door, Seungyoon took the chance and threw a punch at him. He managed to free himself from the bouncer’s iron grip and drove into the crowd.
