The poor boy is sniffing.

He was new to the school but he never expected that he’ll be cursed at the moment he stepped in. He was supposed to be led by a local student but he was late so his chance of meeting his guide vanished just like that. Since he’s lost already, he had decided to sit on one of the empty benches under the Cherry tree. He sniffed hard trying to control his tears.

“Hey.”

Startled, he fell off from the bench. “Ouch.” He saw a guy running towards him, helping him to stand up and asking him if he was okay. He blushed how good looking the stranger was. He was tall and his eyes were shining. His lips were small he so badly wanted to kiss them.

“Are you okay?” Well, he didn’t understand the guy. He hasn’t learned Korean yet so it was hard. He just looked at the god-looking stranger with furrowed eyebrows.

I’m sorry. I don’t speak Korean,” he said.

Oh, well, I was asking if you were okay,” he was surprised indeed. There are more people who can speak English than he expected. “Well, are you?

He nodded, “Oh yes, yes, I’m okay. I was just startled,” he said. He cursed at himself for being so shy. But then he heard the laugh of the latter and instantly fell in love with him. “What’s your name?” he asked. But regretted it the moment he said those words. He thought it was too fast to be asking names. And he really doesn’t want to make a bad impression.

Kim Yugyeom,” the guy replied. “And you are?

Bambam!

What?” Bambam could tell that Yugyeom was at a loss. Of course, his name sounds childish. His reaction wasn’t new to him anyway but he finds Yugyeom adorable with a questioningly look on his face.

My real name is hard to pronounce so you can just call me Bambam,” he said and got a nod as a reply.

Why were you crying then?” Yugyeom asked.

Bambam mentally debated with himself whether he should tell the incident earlier or make up an excuse. It was embarrassing for his part to be cursed at when clearly he doesn’t have any bad intention. If he knew that he would see a couple making out, he would have avoided them because he doesn’t want his eyes to be corrupted by some students. “Oh nothing. I’m new here and I’m lost.

Oh, so you’re one of the transfer students. Mind if I see your schedule?

Of course not,” Bambam was more than happy to give Yugyeom his schedule. He saw how the latter’s hands were so big and looked so strong. He wants those arms wrapped around him and drowns him into a blissful paradise.

Wow. We’re classmates and have the same classes for the whole semester,” Yugyeom said, admiring for the moment the schedule, not because it was printed in a plain white bond paper but because he would be accompanying this little adorable kid towards the end of the semester.

Really?!” Bambam shrieked. He couldn’t be any happier now. Who would have thought that this stranger became his crush and now his classmate? He would be looking forward to the days he would be seeing the god-looking Yugyeom again. ing excited, he thought. But unknown to him, the other had the same thought as well.

He does have his own flat but Jackson found himself at his senior’s dorm room. He doesn’t really want to loiter around the campus or he’ll be given detention for skipping class. But his thoughts were focused on a certain red hair and full, luscious lips.

“Hey, you’re drooling,” his senior said.

At the comment, Jackson immediately wiped the sides of his lips just to found out that he wasn’t drooling. His senior just laughed at this reaction. “ you, Yunho hyung.”

“Nuh-uh,” Yunho shook his head, “I’d rather Jaejoong’s gorgeous .” Jackson rolled his eyes at the response.

Jung Yunho is the current captain ball of the university’s basketball team in which Jackson is a promising member. They’ve met a month after Jackson had transferred into the school. Jackson had always been so into sports like fencing, archery, soccer and basketball. But since he had already done the previous three back in Hong Kong, he’s now enhancing his basketball skills to even out his talent for sports. Unsurprisingly, Yunho saw Jackson’s potential. He wanted to have him as the next captain ball by the time he graduates. He knew that the team would be safe under Jackson’s hands.

And Jackson also knows that Yunho is into boys. Well, his senior is not really the playboy type like he is because Yunho has only interests for a certain Kim Jaejoong, one of the most gorgeous boys in school (the red head being number one on his list ever since he had met him).

“So, what got you drooling over?”

“What the-“ Jackson had this disbelief look on his face as he continued, “I wasn’t  drooling!”

“Whatever,” Yunho instantly dismissed what Jackson had said because he knew there is something about the goofy expression on the latter’s face, “Then, who is it that got you dreaming all of a sudden?”

“Look, I wasn’t drooling or dreaming. I’m just so right now I’ve got no one to ,” he said while running his hand through his black hair. Then he looked at Yunho and said, “Unless, you want to accompany me?”

“ no,” Yunho immediately said, dread written all over his face. “If you’re as gorgeous as Kim Jaejoong then I might consider your offer.”

“Psh, I’m not a girl.”

“Who said Jaejong was a girl?”

Jackson rolled his eyes the second time. “Wipe that smile off your face. It gives me shivers.”

“Ooh, you falling for me already?” Yunho teased as he scooted closer to the younger.

“Get away from me,” he said as he moved towards the edge of the sofa. “Man, if you’re not just my senior, I’ve already beaten you up!”

Yunho laughed at the comment and said, “As if you could beat me with that  height.” He loves it so much seeing the annoyed look on Jackson’s face. It’s like having a little brother to tease.

Jackson gave him a glare, “Are you telling me I’m short? you. I’m just a late bloomer!” He defended.

“Late bloomer, my .”

The two continued to bicker but none was offended by each other’s words. For Jackson, it was like having an older brother. He’s an only child so he never gets to experience love from a sibling. And Yunho was just the perfect image of his ideal older brother (although he doesn’t like it when he teases him so much).

He saw it.

He ing saw it.

He could hear his heart shattering like a piece of glass thrown at one side with vengeance. He couldn’t stomach what he had seen, what his eyes had witnessed. His heart couldn’t absolutely take it. At one moment he was looking for Jackson so that he could apologize for the lunchbox then he saw him kissing another guy.

“I don’t swing that way.”

Jackson’s words echoed through his head.

But confusion and hurt dominated his mind. He’s a crying mess now when he slumped down from his position. He was so confused why Jackson kissed a guy but couldn’t tolerate him being affectionate and caring. He was supposed to be his friend. He was supposed to be close to him. But a total stranger provoked jealousy inside him. He’s so ing pissed he want to punch the foreign red head in the face.

Shouldn’t he be the one pinned against the tree?

Shouldn’t he be the one making Jackson laugh?

Shouldn’t he be the one getting more skinship from him?

.

Then it all clicked to him like a slap on the face.

Of course.

Jackson hates him. He hates  him. No wonder he was being rejected almost every day. One time when Jackson failed a test, he volunteered himself to help him but found him  getting tutored by a girl who puts way too much make up and wears way too short skirt. There was also that time when Jackson was sweating so hard from basketball practice. He was there and he gave him a towel but the other shrugged his offer and disappeared through the shower room.

A lot of times he had been rejected. He thought that maybe Jackson doesn’t want everyone to think that they have that  kind of relationship. Maybe Jackson doesn’t want to tarnish his reputation as a playboy and heartthrob all at once. Maybe Jackson was only making things easier for them by ignoring him so that his fan girls wouldn’t harass him for being affectionate.

I’m so stupid.

Jackson wouldn’t do that. He was being rejected plainly because he was hated. His presence. His whole being. His existence. It was all rejected and the realization only made him cry harder than before. He feels like his suffocating. His heart throbs because it ing hurts.

Reality is just way too cruel for me.

But he couldn’t stop loving the damn guy.

That same guy who keeps shattering his heart into pieces over and over.
