I'm so proud of Maknae Taeminnie. Everyone at SM is looking at him with those "You are so adorable for going solo" eyes XP I think I have those same eyes~

Yesterday I listened to his album. It sounded really good. All the songs scream: MJ IS MY ROLE MODEL. Taemin's voice sounds so freaking good!! After letting the mini album simmer in my mind for 24 hours I will list my favorite songs.

1. Experience

I was interested in this song ever since the highlight melody. When I found this song 3rd in the tracklist I fangirled so hard. This is the song that was on my mind the most! I was so excited to finally hear it. It turned out WAY better than expected. At first I thought this was only my favorite because I was interested in it so early on but then I realized that I would proably still listen to this song even after the Taemin Hype is over. I'm in love with the out west guitar and the piano in the back ground. The dubstep break sounds a little odd and out of place but other than that very nice~ The next SHINee Concert I really want to see Taemin perform this Live.  

2. Danger

Gotta love this song~ That's why it's the title right?? MJ inspired at its best. Everything about this is Daebak. I can't believe I wasn't crazy about this song when I first heard it!! I think it took me a minute to get used to the rhythm, almost like f(x)'s Red Light. Things change a lot but it all fits so well. And his vocals compliment the song so freaking well. Off topic a bit - the stage presence he has when he performs this is incredible. From the dance to the simple facial expressions it's all so perfect. This was only second song by a small margin so techically this is my 1.5 favorite. 

3. Ace

I'll be the first to say ballads aren't my thing. I'm definitely not a fan of slow songs but between Shinee and Exo they have me re-thinking it. Ace is Symptoms part 2. Even though they don't sound a like they are both so smooth. Baby making music XD When you are feeling y out of no where this is the perfect song to play. His voice OMO!! This is actually my favorite 1.75. I was actually torn between these 3. One of the reasons why I love this song is because of the Engrish at the end XP You are in the groove and you think it's going to end that way too until you hear some words you think you understand but you can't and you from (^o^) to (O.o) C'mon where is Henry, Jessica, Kris, and Krystal when you need them??

4. Pretty Boy

Coming in at #4 is #4 on the album. I was sure this was going to be my favorite song off the album when I first hear it but the album was unexpectedly better. I like this song. It's not as interesting instrumentally as Danger but very easy on the ears. The rock guitar gives it a nice flavor. I'm glad Kai got more than just a 10 second rap like in Exo. What I like almost as much as the song is the friendship between them. Brother from another mother XP Tell me with a straight face that Pretty Boy doesn't sound like a Shinee-Exo mash up XP

5. Play Me

I think by the end of the abum Taemin was like "I don't give a anymore. Let's write a song about making love." Yup ~ When you read the lyrics what else could it be?? (And he tried to act so innocent on WGM.. That boy knows!) If I were to rank the first 3 songs on my list as 1 this would actually be my 3rd favorite or probably 2.5 XP I didn't like it at first. I thought it was too slow. Man I was wrong. Yes it's slow. But a good slow. An R&B slow jam slow. Probably the only song on the album I could imagine all of SHINee singing and not just Taemin. I'll play you any day. Just tell me when and where baby!

6. Wicked

Since there's only one song left I minus well talk about it. Just because I ranked it last does not mean I don't like the song. I love it! The love jazz band sound takes me back to motown soul music. Woo!! This dude did right with this album really. There's not a song I didn't care for which is unusual. 

This was the quickest I ever listened to an album. It makes we days and weeks to sit down and listen but I listened to this right away. (Probably because SHINee is bias group and Taemin is my 2nd bias next to Onew. I'm so happy for him and so is everyone at SM. I remember when everyone was mistaking him for a girl during Lucifer/Sherlock era. Mistake no more.

I'm curious to see if any other members go solo. If SM does decide it I hope it's Jonghyun. Just like GD, JYP, and Junhyung he can write songs in his sleep.
