Personality: Yun Ae is a mature, bright girl, who's got a good head and an acid tongue. She's strong, outgoing, and independent and can sometimes be too stubborn for her own good. She doesn't care what people think and always does her own thing. When most people meet her for the first time, they often think she's intimidating and a bit of a handful because Yun Ae always says what's on her mind and doesn't take crap from anybody. She can be really blunt and sarcastic sometimes, but that's just her being honest. She'll always stick up for her friends because she's loyal, and she will always put her loved ones before herself. Most people think that she's just tough, but there's a softer side to her that not everyone gets to see. Deep down, she's an empathetic person, who's always ready to lend a hand to support and a shoulder to cry on. She's a great listener and really knows how to comfort others, not by her words but by her actions. She may not say things like "it'll be alright," but she just sit all night with someone and listen and hug them and wipe their tears, letting them know they're not alone.  

Background: Yun Ae grew up in an average family of four. Her dad works as a technician for a small company while her mom runs a little restaurant. She has a brother who is 4 years older and who dotes on her a lot. Her family moved to America from Korea when she was 8 years old. She had no trouble fitting in at school, since she was originally outgoing. Growing up, she did get herself into sticky situations quite a bit, but her older brother was always there to cover for her. They're extremely close, and he is really protective of her, even though she can protect herself just fine. Her father may sometimes be strict, but he's just doing what he should as a father. He dotes on his family a lot, especially his baby daughter. Mom isn't so much strict as she is firm, meaning once she says something, it'll be hard to change her mind. Like if Yun Ae wanted to buy something, but mom doesn't let her because it's not necessary, then no matter how much Yun Ae begs, she won't budge. That goes for a lot of things, and both Yun Ae and her brother know not to even ask if they know she'll say no. Normally though, mom is a very happy person, always smiling and joking, making the family happy and loud.
