·· Hana comes from an average family of commonfolks, consisted of four people. Her father and mother were both servants in the house of a wealthy merchant, and when her sister, who was three years older, came of age to be able to help out, she became a maid as well. Hana was to follow her mother and sister, but being the spunky girl that she was, she wasn't really ideal as a maid, and she ended up getting lost on her first day at the manor. She was supposed to stay by her sister's side and learn the rules, but she snuck away when her sister wasn't looking and went around exploring, when she happened to bump into a boy named Himchan. She had just been walking about when suddenly she bumped into something causing her to fall back on her . Looking up, she saw a boy, not much older than her, also on the floor opposite her. Knowing she should have been more careful and it was partly her fault, she got up and apologized to said boy, bowing and all, but the boy was a brat.

"Do you know who I am? Just a sorry after bumping into the great Himchan isn't going to cut it. Beg for my forgiveness peasant." Seeing his cockiness, she changed her mind. It was his fault too. She told him as much and walked away, leaving him fuming because no one ever spoke against him. He was the young master of the house after all. Himchan follows her and pesters her for an apology. He sees Hana and her sister walking in the garden and immediately comes and bickers with her, earning her a great scolding from her mother who had walked in. After finding out that he is the young master, Hana tries to avoid him, not because she fears him, but because she doesn't want to snap at him when he makes a snide remark or does something to annoy her and jeopardize her family's income. He, however, tries to make her miserable every chance he gets until one day, he sees her in a fight with some of the others kids. Hana had been out and about one day, when she saw a group of boys picking on this one girl, so she decided to step in. She used all her strength to push the boys and got in as many punches as she could, but they outnumbered her 3:1. To her surprise though, Himchan stepped out and gave them a good beating. And so, their unlikely friendship begins. They still bicker and tease each other constantly, but their was a mutual respect there. That was 8 years ago. They're both grown up now, her being a lady of 21 and him a young master taking on his father's business at 23.

She had become his most trusted friend. Though he constantly argued with her, there was no doubt that he also doted on her as well. He treated her well, always sharing his snacks with her, teaching her what he learned from school as he knew she wanted to learn as well, protecting her when she got herself into trouble, and always supporting her. He was always to be there for her when she was scared, although that doesn't happen often. For her part, she would always be the listener to his problems, the one he came to for conversations and advice. She would be his comfort zone, where he was free to spill his guts without fear of being judged. Underneath all the bickering, they were a pair of truly great friends. And somewhere along the lines, they had developed feelings for each other. Himchan was the one who fell first. He loved her strong personality, her boldness, her caring heart underneath all that prickliness. She made his heart beat fast every time she smiled at him. As for Hana, she doesn't really know what she feels for Himchan, whether it's love or admiration or pure friendship. All she knew was that she was grateful to have him by her side.

When she found out she was one of the sacrifices for the gods, the first person she went to was Himchan. Hana was devastated that her life would end so soon, but she was also glad it had been her and not her sister. She wanted to have a chance to live and be able to do something for her parents, wanting to be able to take care of them in their old age. A part of her was afraid of the unknown world beyond this one, but she wanted to be brave for her family, knowing that if she showed them her fear, they would feel even worse. As for Himchan, he was absolutely crushed when he heard the news. He had wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, to be able to have her beside him everyday. He tried to do everything to have her not be sacrificed, from bribing to trying to get someone else as substitute. The Elders could not be bribed though, and Hana absolutely refused the idea of having someone else pose as her and go in her stead. How could she live with herself knowing that someone else's daughter, someone else's sister, someone else's lover had taken her place in death? In the end, she accepted her fate and became a sacrifice, not that she had a choice.

CHARACTER PERSONALITY

·· Hana is a spunky, bright girl. While others are taught to be demure and lady like, that never quite fit well with her. Being a bit of a tomboy, she was always getting into trouble, whether it be due to her curiosity or her sharp tongue. She never took insults lying down and would always retaliate, in words and in action. While her actions and her strong personality makes her seem reckless and uneducated to other people, she is actually very intelligent. Hana loves to learn new things, always wanting to improve herself. Pestering Himchan to teach her what he learned, she becomes educated, excelling in language, poetry, and music. Even if she came from a poor background, she was by no means uneducated. Underneath her outgoing and energetic exterior lies a warm hearted, caring girl, always looking out for those around her. She always noticed when her parents were tired and always tried to help out with their work as much as she could. She always took care of her sister, doing all the heavy work and whatnot. Hana loved her family with all her heart, and she always tried to protect them and care for them any way she could. Her biggest fear is losing the people she loves and being alone, so she always tries her best to do what she can for them. She was a great listener and comforter to her best friend, always cheering him up and supporting him. She bickers a lot with him, so sometimes he would take things too far, making her angry, but she never stays angry at him for more than a day. It wasn't in her nature to hold a grudge, so she forgives as soon as he apologizes. To those who had less than her, she would always give what she could spare. If a beggar came up to her on the streets and asked for money, she would not hesitate to pull some out and give it to him, even if she didn't have much to spare. She is a girl who lives with all of her heart.

LOVE INTEREST
LOVE INTEREST. Jung daehyun
Interactions. Hana was initially angry at daehyun and the gods in general because she didn't want to be a part of the new world she was in. she had thought that being a sacrifice meant losing her life, which compared to being dropped into a foreign land with no family and no one to hold on to, was a better choice than what she was now facing. Since her biggest fear is being alone. she slowly warms up to daehyun when she sees that beneath the god persona, there was a curious, caring, warm heart. on the other hand, daehyun is very amused by her reactions to the world around her, from her anger with him, to her fascination with some of the things she sees, to her admiration of his music and the beauty of his world. He would always ask her about the human world and try to get her to talk more about her world. they both start to feel something for each other as they share their stories and slowly start to fall for one another. Hana becomes confused about her feelings for daehyun since she thinks she cannot fall in love with a god, and himchan is always on her mind. Daehyun realizes pretty early on that he feels something different for the human girl, but he doesn't know what that is. he would feel happy at the sight of her smile, and he's always interested in her, what she says, what she does, what she feels. he always finds himself fuming when she starts to talk about himchan and how much she misses him and whatnot. hana would tell daeyhyun stories about her family and himchan but would always stop in the middle, feeling like she was exposing herself to the god. when that happens, daehyun would always use his manipulative powers on her, making her spill her heart out. she gets angry at him but could never be angry for too long since she isn't one to hold a grudge. she would forgive him after a little bit, as he would always try to talk her out of her anger. daehyun would always try to give hana what she wants, and she notices that he tends to dote on her quite a bit, which surprises her yet makes her really happy at the same time. it shows how highly he values her and for that, she is always grateful. Hana finds that he's actually a very lonely being and always tries to cheer him up and be there for him, entertaining him accompanying him. she always asks him to teach her various instruments and to sing for her with his wonderful voice, and that in turns, makes him happy because he now has someone to sing for and play with.

PERSONALITY. Daehyun, the Sound God, may be a master of manipulation, whether it be with his satin voice, or his dark eyes, or his charming smile, or his fluid words, but behind all of that, he is also a very caring and gentle god. He rarely manipulates someone into submission, and he treats all the inhabitants of his home with kindness. Because he is a god, he if often revered and feared by others for his powers, but he has always felt his existence to be one of loneliness. His powers are different from the other gods, in that they play with the mind. Even the other gods are cautious of him, not wanting to be to close lest he uses his honeyed words and wondrous music to manipulate them. Because of this loneliness, he develops a habit of talking to everyone and asking them many things, always trying to get to know them more and become closer. He cares for all of his servants more than any of the other gods. Daehyun is also a curious bird, always thinking about things, and he finds many things extremely interesting, leading to him asking others and philosophizing about it. Even though he's a god, he doesn't abuse his power and only uses his manipulations when he really deems it necessary.

MEETING. ··Hana woke up in the middle of a field of wildflowers, with a cool breeze blowing. She gets up and looks around, and seeing no one, she starts walking in a random direction, not knowing or caring where she's going since she no longer has family or purpose. After walking for a while, from the flower field to a forest nearby, she starts to hear a sweet voice ringing throughout the air. The song being sung was so full of sadness and longing, so filled with such incomprehensible emotions. It was unlike anything she has ever heard before, but the voice was mesmerizing. Slowly, and without knowing, she started to follow the voice around the forest, through the trees, to a clearing with a shining turquoise lake. There, she saw the source of that voice, a man dressed in a white robe with a purple sash running down the left side of his back. As if in a trance, she moves forward and reaches out a hand towards his shoulder, when he abruptly turns around, surprising her and making her lose her balance. His long arms dart out, and he catches her hand and pulls her towards him. She is once again entranced, not by his melodic voice but by his handsome features, marvelously scupted face, and dark chocolate eyes. Features more beautiful than the prettiest of flowers, yet at the same time still retaining that masculinity of a true man. Those dark eyes, that shown with bewilderment at finding another living being in this private forest, broke contact, and she was snapped out of whatever magic that held her.

Seeing that both their bodies were pressed together, she quickly backed up and almost tripped in her haste had he not reached out once again to steady her, eyes full of amusement at her clumsiness. Hana bowed and apologized for intruding then complimenting his wonderful singing. He asks her who she is and where she came from, surprised to hear that she is his sacrifice. She has no idea that he is the God that she was sacrificed to while he becomes interested in her, mainly that she is human. He smiles at her and invites her to come with him before reaching out and taking her hand again, leading her towards the path back to his castle. Needless to say, Hana is shocked to find herself in the presence of the God all this time. He introduces himself as The God of Sound while she denies and convinces herself that this is all a dream, closing her eyes tightly and willing this to be just a dream. Yet, when her eyes are opened once more, the reality is still there. She still sees him. She's still in this new world. Meanwhile she is struggling to accept this, he leads her to the room she will be staying at, wanting to learn about everything human. She breaks down though, reality being too much to bear at the moment, and he doesn't know what to do. He leaves her alone to collect herself, half amused, half pitying.

YOUR STORY. Hana is given to the Sound God as tribute. She initially resents having to live in the Sound Kingdom and thought it was better if she were dead. Slowly, she comes to accept Daehyun and the two become friends, telling each other stories and playing music together. Daehyun falls for her first, and he really takes care of her, doting on her and always trying to make her happy. She comes to realize her feelings for him, but she can't forget her best friend Himchan. One day, she asks him to free her and let her return to her world, thinking that he would help her because of the friendship they had. He gets angry at her for wanting to leave him and his world, and he leaves her alone and goes to his forest. He decides to use his powers to manipulate her into staying because he loves her and doesn't want her to leave him. He succeeds, but then he feels it isn't right, as she isn't really staying with him by her choice. He releases the spell and gives her the choice. After thinking it over, she decides she wants to stay with him, realizing that she just couldn't imagine life without him. She may not have her family or Himchan, but losing him would be much more devastating.

***So, this is just an overview of how I thought the relationshhip would play out. My brain kind of died at the end since this took a lot longer than I thought it would. I hope you don't mind that I changed the meeting. I was going for cute angst (?) but yeah, I don't know what happened T.T Still, I hope you like her and hope to see the story start soon!***
