personality traits: chanyeol's a generally happy guy. he's bright and never fails to bring laughter to other people. people are often fooled by his happy demeanor as they think his bright nature is a sign of naivete. he may be a happy virus normally, but he can turn serious in a second when the time calls for it. often, his responsible and mature side is overshadowed by his happy front. he's someone who rarely ever gets angry and chooses to just laugh it off instead. if someone insults or tries to harm his loved ones though, he transforms into a protective serious guy that will do everything he can to keep them safe.

meeting: hana saw a large crowd outside the bubble tea house, her workplace on earth, when she went in for her shift. after a little manuevering, she finally was able to get through the door, just to see a tall and handsome looking guy standing in front of the counter, looking intently at the menu and frowning. she was momentarily thrown off by his handsome face, but she recovered herself and took his order. as she took his payment, their hands brushed and a tingling sensation was felt by both of them. they stared at each other, surprised for a moment. he broke eye contact first, so he didn't realize she was still staring in shock after him as he walked away to a table nearby where two other, also very good-looking, guys were seated.

interactions: after the first meeting and tingling sensation, chanyeol immediately took an interest in the otherwise normal looking girl. he started coming to the shop everyday, to try to get to know her. they became fast friends, due to his bright and outgoing personality. from the moment their hands first touched, she knew that he was the crown prince, as she had read his mind when he was walking away. she kept it a secret to herself, and she would always try to discreetly observe him, his actions, the way he interacts wth people, and she fell for him after seeing what a genuinely great guy he is, with no trace of arrogance or conceit as the crown prince. she was amazed how he would never get angry and always seemed to have a smile on his face. she thought "how cold anyone be so happy all the time?" and his bright personality wasn't a front, it was really who is was, and that made her admire him for his positive attitude. he seemed to have a knack for making everybody smile because his happy demeanor was contagious.
when he found out that she was the one and that she knew who he was all this time, he felt betrayed. chanyeol became upset at her for the very first time because he felt like hana had lied to him. he also thought that she only likes him because he is the crown prince and doesn't trust that her feelings are genuine. he's pretty hurt by this and tries to keep his distance from her, but he just ends up missing her too much. he realizes that he has truly fallen in love with her an he can't live without her and that she actually does like him for him (after lots of persuasion from his friends and some life-threatening situations).

finding: when he was in the shop one day, waiting for her shift to end, he noticed her ring that looked similar to an image in a book he had read about his "fiancee's" family. his suspicion grew when he saw her birthmark one day, when she was wearing a tank top (she always wears t-shirts) because of the extreme weather. he didn't fully believe it until he accidentally saw her in a fight with hee ae. needless to say, he was pretty pissed afterwards.

it's tradition. tradition used to be that there would a crown princess competition, where the noble families would send one girl to take part. whoever won became crown princess. however, a good dozen generations back, the king at the time felt that a crown princess competition makes choosing a crown princess seem like a joke and not very important, hence he decided to just go with the arranged at birth approach and that was that. so every generation from then on, the crown prince would be betrothed to a daughter from one of the 4 noble families in turns. it was also from then on that tradition of sending the future kings and queens to find each other started. it was a test of skills and character, as the crown princes and future crown princesses would have to utilize all their knowledge and charm to find each other.

my mission

she was sent to earth when she was 15 to hone her skills and learn to control her powers and find the crown prince in a population of earthlings. her family had already set up the house for her to live in. she was just literally dumped on earth with her chaperone being one of her mom's most trusted confidante. she got over the culture shock soon enough and was able to make some new friends, but she still missed home and her family, especially her brother.

Hana is the only daughter of the yoo family, a family of military generals. her father is the highest ranked general, whose command over the military is only below that of the king. her 3 brothers are all generals as well, of various ranks. her mother is the queen's best friend and confidante. her life before getting dumped on earth was one of fortune. her father and brothers, though strict generals when it came to politics and war, were fools for their only daughter and sister. she was doted on quite a lot, but she was never spoiled as her mother kept a strict household. hana's family is very close-knit and loving.
