☷ STREET SPIRIT

QUOTE  "I'm sorry, aegyo doesn't work on me"
BREAKDOWN  friendly, decisive, intuitive, kind, moody

PERSONALITY

(intimdating? no way.) Because of her natural -face, many people often mistake her as being intimidating and mean, and add that to her tall height and tomboyish fashion, you've got yourself a formula for a y appearance. In reality though, Ari's a pretty friendly person. As outgoing as she is, she always initiates conversations with new people, giving them reassuring smiles and trying to make them feel comfortable. She tries to get along with everyone. She's always interested in getting to know other people and their lives, but sometimes, it can be a bit much and she can come off as pushy and maybe even nosy. You wouldn't think a person with such a convincing face like her would be so prying, but she is, and that makes a lot of people uncomfortable sometimes, because who would want to tell someone they'd just met their personal issues? That's just not right. And really, her face really only appears when she doesn't smile, which is when she zoned out or deep in thought or just bored, but once she does, she becomes this approachable person who's always ready to lend a hand or an ear or just provide company if you need someone to talk to. Her nosiness is annoying, but if someone's willing to open up to her, she would make sure to be a person they can trust.

(committed or stubborn?) Once she starts something or decides something, whether it be a project or something else, she'll follow through with it to the end, no matter what comes her way. The words "giving up" are not in her vocabulary, and she is not one to be deterred by hardships. If she promises you something, she'll always keep her word, even if things become difficult. Once she wants to do something and has put her mind to it, no one can change it. She'll try her best to accomplish whatever it is she set out to do. However, her stubborness can make her unreasonable at times because she'll insist she's right. If she really believes she's right about something, then she'll insist that she's right and not change her mind about it, even when you tell her it's wrong. Unless you can bring cold, hard evidence and put it right in front of her, she'll refuse to believe she's wrong and just ignore your words. That's why when she decided she would be studying abroad and her brothers vehemently opposed, she stuck to her decision anyway, even when they threatened not to help her financially and knowing she would face some hardships if that happened because they couldn't prove that she would not be able to handle herself since they've never let her go anywhere by herself. Optimists call that being committed while pessimists call it stubborness, but whatever it is, that's who she is.

(i know who you really are.) Within five minutes of talking to someone, she can already get a read on what kind of person they really are. Whether it be intuition, good judgment, or just luck, she can easily tell if a person is good or bad, sincerely nice or just faking it, moral or not. She just considers it being attentive to the person she's communicating with. Like one time, a friend of hers had invited her to dinner with one of her friend's friend, who was a foreign student. She had accepted and gone to the dinner, only to find that she doesn't really like the new girl. Well, more like, she didn't really have a good feeling about her. Maybe it was her gaze or her movements or her attitude, but whatever it was, it just gave her a feeling of dislike. She told her friend as much when her friend has asked her about it, and she had felt terrible that she was making a judgment so quickly about someone she barely knew. But, not a month later, she had heard from her friend how that girl had dumped her boyfriend at the time, saying that now that she wasn't so new anymore and was quite acquainted with everything, she didn't need him anymore, he who had been taking care of her and helping her and doting on her as if she was a jewel. That was one of the many times she found herself being right about a person. She's not judgmental, and she dislikes anyone else who is, but she can't seem to stop those gut feelings when they come.

(nice, but not a pushover.) Most of the time, she's a pretty easygoing person, really chill with everything. She's not picky with clothes or food or anything at all really. Sure, she has pet peeves, like going into her room without knocking or leaving stuff around everywhere, but who doesn't? After all, she's only human. She tries to be polite and kind to everyone, and she usually doesn't really mind the little things. You can make fun of her and she'll laugh with you. You can laze around the house all day and she won't say anything as long as you don't mess up her place. But just because she's nice, doesn't mean she's a pushover. Just because she doesn't mind you at her house, doesn't mean you can do that all the time and come unannounced. Just because she laughs with you when you joke about her, doesn't mean you can take that as an okay to be rude or disrepect her in any way. In this regards, she's like a stricter female version of Junmyeon. When she's sad, she tends to hide her pain behind a smile and refusing to admit anything is wrong and talk about it because she thinks it's her own problem. She won't budge no matter how many times she's asked.

(stop now or you'll regret it) When she's stressed, Ari becomes a bit bipolar and extremely moody. She can switch from being happy to angry to sad in a matter of seconds. It's weird though, because she rarely ever raises her voice even when she's angry. Ari is someone who tends to keep things bottled up inside, and then explode with it all at once, so her stress periods are when she's near her tolerance limit. She may not yell or scream like most people do, but one look at her eyes and you tell she wants to snap someone's head off. If looks could kill, her eyes would be capable of causing not only the deaths of all those who  are in her line of sight but serious damage to the surroundings as well. The only times she would raise her voice is when she explodes, and when that happens, make sure to run and hide all your precious belongings because the storm is going to be deadly. She wouldn't injure people, but she would destroy anything in her path, and that can sometimes hurt more than actually hitting the person. Imagine having your favorite collection of CDs or games destroyed or having your precious laptop smashed. That would hurt... alot.

☷ NO SURPRISES

BACKGROUND  Ari was born in Vietnam, but her family immigrated to America when she was 3. Her life up until her parents' unfortunate death at the age of 14 was normal. After her parents passed away in a car accident, her brothers took it upon themselves to care for her as best as they could. They moved to a small one room apartment and shared one car for four years. When Ari was old enough to work, she also took on a few part time jobs to help out. When her brother graduated med school, they were able to move into a bigger apartment with two rooms, and her life has settled down a bit. After graduating high school, she went on to study at a university, and that's how she got the opportunity to come to Korea for study abroad experience.
FAMILY

-Daniel (Danny) Tran || 28 || Surgeon || As the oldest of three, he had the responsibility of taking care of his younger siblings, so their parents' death was the hardest on him. He had just graduated with his bachelor's degree then when they passed away. He made the decision to move them to a small place to live, so they could cut down living costs. All while in med school, he was able to get assistantship, which was how he was able to cover some of their living costs. Now, at 28, he's a resident surgeon at one of the well-known medical centers in the country. Danny has always been the very mature adult, seeing as he's quite a bit older than his siblings. He's a responsible, caring, gentle person, always a doting brother to Ari and Nate. Because Ari is the youngest and a girl, he is more protective of her and due to the , he becomes sort of the father figure for her after the accident, doting but also very protective and strict. Ari is close enough to Danny that she can come to him for advice on certain things. She respects him and admires him as a role model for her. He is very protective of her, always making sure she's ok, not letting her go out a lot or at night, and always checking up on her if she does. When she decided to go study abroad, he had been very opposed to it, but with her stubborness, she was able to convince him. He still calls to check on her every few days or so. She sometimes get frustrated with him because of his overprotectiveness, but she understands that it's just because he cares, so she puts up with it most of the time. He's had to give up a lot to take care of her and Nate, and for that, she's always grateful.

-Nathaniel (Nate) Tran || 24 || Computer Engineer || When their parents died, Nate had just graduated high school. He was able to get a full scholarship for college, but he also worked part time on the side to help Danny with the living expenses. Now at 24, he's in his last year of his masters program for computer engineering and has received a job offers for various computer companies. Because Nate is closer to Ari in age than Danny, he's more like a friend to her. Of course, he's still her older brother, but they joke around with each other more than she does with Danny. He's a smart, funny, friendly person, who often makes his little sister laugh with his lame nerdy computer jokes. But he's also a really good brother to her, and like Danny, he's also very protective of her. They tease each other quite a bit, but they're also always there for each other. Because Danny was always trying to take care of them, he was often not home. Although she may go to Danny for advice on certain things, Ari talks a lot more with Nate, and she always tells him her problems. He's her confidante and she is his.

OTHER CHARACTERS

-Jung Daehyun (BAP) || 20 || Waiter || Ari and Daehyun met in the archery club. He's a music major, who just happened to be interested in archery as well. Because they're both very friendly people, they were able to quickly become friends. His talkative nature made her feel welcomed when she first joined, and he's always helping her out ever since. He was also the one who introduced her to her current waitressing job, so he's also her coworker. They talk a lot about school and work and such, and sometimes, they're study buddies as well. They both have an immense love for food, so that's something they've always bonded over. Daehyun always jokes around with Ari and makes her laugh all the time.

-Son Naeun (APink) || 20 || Waitress || Naeun's a coworker at the place where Daehyun and Ari work. She's quiet and gentle, and quite shy too. When Ari first started, she had initiated a conversaition with Naeun, and they've been friends since then. She's also a psych major, so they're often helping each other out with school. They often talk to each other, and Naeun always comes to her for advice on things. Naeun was actually the one who had shown Ari the ad for the house since Ari had been complaining to her of yet another rent raise by her difficult landlord.

ACADEMICS  Ari's a third year, honor student (3.7 GPA), working towards a degree in Psychology and minoring in Anthropolgy. She doesn't really know how she managed to stay an honor student for so long since she almost always procrastinates on her school work, always waiting till the night before to do her papers and such. All-nighters are no strangers to her, usually accompanied by a large cup of coffee. The only club she's in is the archery club, since she's always been interested in archery. She has friends in the club and study buddies, but she's not best friends with anyone because her best friend is back in America.

Trivia:
-She can take in two burgers, a larger bowl of pho, a milkshake, and still have room for bubble tea and a crepe. Yes, she eats like a man. And she doesn't gain weight either, due to high metabolism. Has great hatred for health foods (salads, granola bars, and the likes). Loves spicy food even if she can't really take it.
-Total food junkie (fave snacks are Flaming Hot Cheetos and Flaming Hot Funyuns). Doesn't like sweets (candy, cake, cookies, etc.) too much, unless it's green tea ice cream crepe.
-She hates her height and wishes she was shorter because she can't wear heels since it would make her look like a giant. That and the fact that most guys are shorter than her, which makes it difficult to find a guy since guys like petite girls that bring out their protective instincts. It also enhances her intimidating persona when she isn't smiling, which makes it difficult for people to approach her.
-She loves shooting ranges and archery ranges. She goes at least once a week to a shooting range.
-She loves Supernatural (show) and is secretly a Destiel shipper.
-She is very ticklish in her tummy area and would hit anyone who tries to tickle her.
-She relies on lots of coffee to keep her going and doesn't sleep more than 4 hours a night. Three cups of coffee with 2-3 expresso shots are her daily guilty pleasures, plus they keep her awake, but it's starting to wear off.
-Worked part time at a night club before, but is now a waitress at a cafe near the school.
-She's super allergic to fake jewelry, so all her piercings and accesories (necklace and ring) are real. She never takes off her jewelry.
-Even though she's a girl, she only owns like 2 dresses and almost never wears them. She hates skirts, especially mini skirts. She also doesn't wear heels, because one, they hurt. Two, they make her even taller than she is, which she hates. And three, because it's simply not her style.
-She's oblivious to male attention because she doesn't have a lot of experience with that kind of thing, since she's only had like two boyfriends before and both times, she was the one who confessed first. Neither relationship really worked out.
-Her brothers send her money every month, but she doesn't like using their money, which is why she goes to work. She tells them not to send, but they do anyways, just less and arguing that she can save it for emergencies, which she does since they won't stop anyway.

☷ ALL I NEED

LOVE INTEREST  Huang Zitao
BACK UP LOVE INTEREST   Wu Yifan, Park Chanyeol

PERSONALITY  He may look like an , but once you get to know him, he's a shy sweetheart that cries easily and loves to be cute. His tall and lean muscled frame is admirable and supports that initial image, that is, until he opens his mouth, and then he's just adorable and sometimes slightly dorky. It's hard to imagine a grown man like him to like cute things, but if you're in the house, you'll almost always see him cuddling his stuffed panda. He tries to act cute to get out of doing chores, to get away from punishment, or to simply get you to do what he wants, and most of the time, it works like a charm. That is, until he meets a certain roomate. Even if he's a guy, he loves shopping and being fashionable, though he tries to hide it because of the jokes he gets from the others. Sometimes, he's like a little boy, asking you to stand outside his bathroom door and talk to him while he showers so he wouldn't feel alone. Or like when he hears the wind howling at night and buries himself inside his blankets and tries not to cry. He's surprisingly innocent in that way. He just gives others the feelings of wanting to protect him and comfort him, and even if he isn't the youngest in the house, his cuteness and pure personality could easily rival the real maknae. Although he may be girly and likes cute things at times, he can also be manly at other times, especially when he's in wushu mode. He's also someone who is considerate and mannered, always taking the side nearest to the street when walking with his roomate or being the one to carry all the heavy groceries when they go food shopping. Just little things like that. He's kinder than most people would think, being the first to worry about other people's well being and offering a helping hand.
RELATIONSHIP  Ari has seen Tao and the others around school before, but never officially met them until she came to rent. For the first two weeks after she moved in, they never actually even saw each other because she was still working at the club then and always came home at 2-3 in the morning. The day after she quit her job, she woke up early that morning and was making breakfast when Tao walked out of his room carrying his panda. He screamed when he saw her, but then remembered that he had a new roomate. After settling down and introducing themselves to each other, she invited him to have breakfast with her, and that's the first time he got to taste her food, which he promptly fell in love with. They talked for a bit and found out that they're the same age, that they're both foreigners, and that they both like basketball. They discussed their living situation, figured out chore duty, and basic rules before Ari had to go to class. After that, they slowly became friends and got closer to each other. Tao tries being cool around her, but it doesn't really work out what with his panda holding and having a shower buddy and all that.
At first, Ari was kind of weirded out by how she would find one of the other guys standing in front of the bathroom door and talking to Tao while he showered or how Tao would act like a child and try to be cute and stuff everytime Yifan came over and dragging him to go shopping. She finds it amusing that with each passing day, Tao becomes more of an innocent little kid in her eyes because of his natural ability to be cute when he wasn't trying, like how he would always be holding his panda around the house. One time, Ari was watching a movie in the living room when Tao came home from class, so she invited him to join her. But after he accepted and sat down, he saw that it was a horror movie, and then proceeded to wrap himself in a blanket and covering his eyes. Halfway through the movie, she turns to him after hearing sniffling, to find he's trying not to cry and looking so scared like a child. Surprised, she turns off the movie and goes to comfort him, hugging him and patting his back, telling him it's ok and it's not real. He eventually stops crying and asks her to stand outside the bathroom door like the others do, so he could shower. She has to hold his hand until he falls asleep, and she thinks to herself, 'Wow, he really is like a child.' The next day, Tao wakes up and remembers the previous events and cringes at how unmanly he was. He prepares himself for her to and stuff, but he just finds her acting as she normally would. She doesn't even mention what happens, and when he finally can't take it anymore, he asks her why she doesn't make fun of him and ask him about the day before. She tells him that she doesn't want to pry, and that he can tell her when he's ready. She won't judge him for it. He's surprised and can't help confessing about his fears and whatnot, still always prepared for her to taunt him. She doesn't and instead tells him that in her opinion, it takes a real man to be able to admit his weaknesses and show his fears for the world to see. Those who try to hide are those who are afraid of judgement, and while it may not be easy to ignore what other people think since society puts up standards on how people should act, it takes real courage to be able to show your true self and not care about what people say. Seeing that she was serious and there was nothing but sincerity in her eyes, he starts to trust her more and be himself around her.
She often finds herself taking care of him, like cooking his breakfast in the morning and laying it out on the table before going to class so he would have something to eat when he wakes up. She has to remind him to do his chores everyday, like a mother would nag her child, and he would always try to get out of doing them by using aegyo, which never works. Tao often comes to her when he wants someone to talk to, and she finds that he seems a little insecure about himself. She comforts him at those times and tries to cheer him up by telling him she'll go shopping with him, even though she absolutely abhors it, in hopes of lifting his spirit. He's appalled at her fashion sense because all she wears are t-shirts and jeans, and she doesn't even put on makeup, only sunblock. He always tries to get her to go shopping with him and tries to upgrade her fashion, to no avail. She has her own style and that's that. Tao finds himself enjoying his time with her more and more and disliking when she is with a male other than him. Initially, Tao is confused as to why he gets jealous of Ari's closeness with other males, whether that be when she discusses cooking with Kyungsoo or has coffee with Minseok or is talking to Daehyun. He doesn't realize he likes her until one surprising day, during their monthly movie marathon. Even if she's an honor student, she's pretty dumb when it comes to male attention so she doesn't even realize he likes her, and he's too chicken to tell her so, fearing rejection and making their friendship awkward. When her brother makes her move houses, she realizes she doesn't want to leave, having grown attached to everyone at Run and Guns already, especially a certain panda boy. She tells Tao about the move, and at the same time, she realizes she likes him. He confesses to her, as a last resort to make her stay, and they finally work out their feelings. She ends up staying, after a long debate with Nate and (through the phone) Danny, winning with her stubborness and (maybe) some tears. And they're happy again because they have each other now. (oh god it's so cheesy >///<)

☷ THE DAILY MAIL

"WHAT'S YOUR REASON FOR RENTING?"  "I was initially living at another place after moving out of the univeristy dorms, but I wasn't going to be able to afford it for much longer. I wanted to find a place with a more reasonable price, so when I saw the ad for this, I just had to check it out. The landlord for the other place kept raising the rent on me, and I can only spare so much for rent since after all, I'm still a student. When I saw this place, I thought it was nice, and close enough to school that I can be at ease. I don't think I could find another place that's as nice as this but still be as reasonably priced."
"AFTER MOVING IN, HOW DID YOU FEEL?"  "When I met him, I thought 'Wow, he must be picky'' because he just seemed like the type that would be. Surprisingly though, Tao's pretty chill about what I do around the house. I'm just not allowed into his room without his permission, which is fine by me since I would want him to respect my privacy as well. We usually split the chores half-half, but sometimes, he can get kinda lazy with the chores, and then I'd have to threaten him, like saying I won't make him food or I won't stand outside for him when he showers and stuff. Of course, then he listens quite well. He's like a kid sometimes, and it makes me feel like I have a kid and I have to take care of him. He would try to use his aegyo on me, but I'm immune to all types of cute, so it doesn't work and he ends up pouting like a kid. Then, he's adorable. I honestly don't understand why he tries to be cute, when just normally, he's already cute. He can be unexpectedly observant and manly at times, which granted it doesn't happen often, but that side is there. Tao really has a lot of sides to him that surprises me sometimes."
"BESIDES YOUR ROOM MATE, WHO'S CLOSEST TO YOU?"  "Kyungsoo. He and I usually talk about cooking and exchange recipes. Since we both love cooking, that's how we bonded. Junmyeon oppa's extremely helpful, especially when I first moved in. I always asked him about where everything was, like the nearest convenience store or the nearest cafe, just things like that. Minseok oppa's a cool person to hang out with, and I've gotten coffee with him a few times, purely by coincidence, and we've chatted a bit. He's a great guy and is pretty cool, until he starts muching on gummy bears that is. Then, he just walks straight into adorable territory. In general, I get along pretty ok with everyone, so there's really no one I'm closest to."*smiles*
"WHO DO YOU HATE NOT GET ALONG WITH?"  "I don't particularly dislike anyone, though there are some who can get on my nerves faster than others, namely Sehun when his huge ego surfaces and he won't stop whining, and Jongdae when he's on his man period and is a snarky . Baekhyun is a bit of a diva, but he's harmless once you get used to him. But aside from that, they're not too bad, I guess." *shrugs and smiles*
"WHAT'S YOUR ROLE IN THE HOUSE?"  "Of course, we each take care of our own room, since it's personal space. We also each take care of our own laundry, though I might ask him if I can throw an outfit in with his clothes if I forgot or missed it and vice versa. The only reason we do the laundry separately is because no matter how I look and act, I'm still a girl, hence I don't want to throw my stuff in with his, bras and all cuz that's kinda awkward if he does the laundry and vice versa. As for everything else, well, I cook while he washes the dishes and takes out the trash. He can cook simple things like eggs an stuff but that's about it, and eatign that all the time is just unhealthy. Plus, the others seem to like my cooking too since they often come for food when Kyungsoo isn't cooking. And, he takes care of the bathroom, while I take the living room, but sometimes, I make him help out with the living room as well. I'd be like 'You know, a real man would help me out cuz that's what gentleman do,' and he'd get up and do it cuz he wants to be seen as manly, which is adorable cuz he's not *laughs* We alternate sweeping the house and wiping the floors, so if one does sweeping, the other wipes the floor. He can get a bit lazy, but it doesn't take much to get him back to work."

☷ FAST TRACK

COMMENTS/FEEDBACKS  Oh god, I know, I know, this is so cliche *hides away in corner* I really wanted to apply for this because it's sounds like it's gonna be a great story, but my brain just would not cooperate (T.T) But I really did try hard to make the character and app as great as I can (which I know isn't very great since you guys are amazing), so I still hope you guys like it. The character is a little based on me, like height, weight, likes, dislikes, trivia, and some parts of the personality, I hope you guys don't mind. I tried to make it more interesting, so I hope that's enough. I'm sorry if it's long, I never meant for it to be, but it just turned out that way. Anyway, I don't really know what else to say, so... uh... yeah... Good luck with the choosing and I can't wait to read the story :)
SCENE REQUESTS
-Grocery shopping scene with lots of fluff :D Since they have to go grocery shopping every day because they're both fat asses, it'd be cute to see some fluffy interactions <3
-Tao wakes up one morning and finds there's no breakfast ready, which is odd because Ari always makes breakfast for him, even if she has an early class. She would leave food on the table for when he wakes up. He goes to her room to see if she left yet and finds her in bed, sick with a flu/cold/fever. He takes care of her and finds that when she's sick, she becomes a baby, adorably sniffling and whiny about everything. The whole day he has to take care of her, from making her food to getting her medicine to giving back massages to fending off all the people who come to annoy her for food, basically anything to make her feel better. She'll keep calling for Tao~ to keep her company. I imagine lots of fluff and skinship in this scene
-Love triangle with Ari, Tao, Daehyun, and the guys have childish jealous fits over Ari being close to the other. Anything with those two being childish over Ari and making idiots of themselves would be adorable and hilarious.
-Tao, the guys, and some of the girls are having a movie marathon in their apartment one Saturday when Ari walks out, looking feminine for once, shocking everyone into silence and staring at her like she's an alien. She doesn't notice though and just continues getting ready, getting her purse and her keys and tying her hair and whatnot, much to the surprise of the others. She tells them she's going to meet someone and to have fun with the marathon and leaves, making everyone wonder if she's going on a date or something. Tao gets jealous and the guys about it, until he threatens to wushu their if they keep on teasing. When she gets home, he gets all huffy about where she's been and stuff. She ignores his attitude and tries to be nice and normal and tells him about how Daehyun was being weird at work, how he kept staring at her like she grew another head or something. He just leaves her and goes to his room without a word. He's confused at his behavior since it's not like they're dating or anything, and then he realizes he might just like her as more than a friend. After that, he's all flustered around her but tries to be normal. He's too shy to say anything and just watches for her reaction to see if she feels the same way.
-Tao and Suho are on their way home one day and decide to stop by the cafe Ari works at for some coffee and maybe pick her up if she's done with her shift. They get there and order coffee and ask if Ari is off yet. She tells them she'll be done in 2 minutes, but she's meeting someone. Just then, Nate walks in, and she runs to hug him and kisses him on the cheek which he returns with a kiss on the forehead, oblivious to her friends' stares (well more like Naeun because Daehyun is glaring at said guy). Tao tries to not show his jealousy, but it doesn't work and he has a hard time controlling his anger. She tells Nate to wait at the table in the corner while she goes to change out of her uniform. Tao, Suho, Naeun, and Daehyun stand at the counter to watch the guy. They see girls coming up to him and flirting, and he flirts back, and Tao's blood just boils over. He and Daehyun move towards Nate menacingly, but Naeun is able to stop Daehyun. Suho loses Tao, and he goes and grabs Nate's shirt by the collar and decks him, thinking he's playing Ari. He's about to hit Nate again, but Ari comes out, and she's llike "What the hell Tao?!" She fusses over Nate and asks if he's ok and glares at Tao, and he takes offense that she defending him when he was flirting with other girls. She looks at him all like, "What the hell are you talking about? He can look all he wants. Why the hell did you hit my brother?" Everyone is shocked to learn who Nate is, most of all Tao, who by this point is just frozen like he's been through a blizzard. Nate is understandbly confused and asks her who this guy is, to which Suho steps in, seeing as Tao is a statue, and introduces himself as the landlord and Tao as Ari's roomate. Nate blows a gasket to learn that she's been living with a man, because of his and Danny's protectiveness of their baby sister. Ari tries to calm him down while he threatens to call Danny, who would most likely blow another gasket and demand she come back home on the next flight. She pleads with him to let her explain, and turns to tell Suho to take Tao home and she's going to have a word with him when she gets back. Ari turns to drag Nate away, all the while he's fuming at her.
