it can't be denied that shiwoo was one of the extroverted siblings. he's been friendly since he was an infant. he was never hostile around strangers and enjoyed befriending the neighbourhood kids. there's really nothing intimidating about him so it's always easy to befriend him or talk to him. plus, his close friends always throw compliments on how he's very attentive and really cares for everyone around him. he's that friend who'd suddenly come over to your house to give you some food to cheer you up. even if he can piss you off with his words, his actions speak louder of his sincere intentions. sadly, only a few of his siblings know this side to him. if he could, shiwoo would sceam out how much he cares for his siblings. he adores them more than anything in the world. he'd do anything for them, honestly. you could depend on him to be a listening ear to all your troubles and worries. there's just something comfortable about him that makes him a great listener. he'll never disclose your secrets and he can really give some comforting words. some say it's a skill, others would say it's a talent. you just feel safe to speak up and talk about yourself to him. if you're looking for fun times you'll never forget, you can trust shiwoo. every time you hang out with him, the agenda is always different and he's willing to do anything new for the thrill. you can also trust him with new ideas and methods on group presentations, video assignments, and english drama ideas.
though he's all great with his virtues, shiwoo has flaws that come out the more he gets used to his environment. as much as he enjoys adventure, he enjoys mischief. he's definitely that kid in class who loves to joke with the teacher when the bell's about to ring and that friend who won't stop messing around with people. his friends have video footage to proof it, too. the mischief will rub off the wrong way to certain people and he would be labelled as a troublemaker if he wasn't cunning or crafty. he just knows when and how to slip out of the radar so he won't get caught. he knows how he can talk his way into getting what he wants and most people wouldn't even suspect a thing. he's three steps ahead of you most of the time. you'd think mood swings at his age are normal but his siblings will clap back that he's always been that way. he's emotionally changeable that way. it's hard to figure out what he's feeling inside from his words alone, but pay attention to his actions and you will be provided a second of clarity before his moods shift again. it doesn't help when he goes on to be hard-hitting with his words. he stays true to brutal honesty, resulting in him saying what he thinks without a filter on. he does give you a heads-up beforehand. he's often like this to close friends and his siblings. if you are a new friend, he'll try to tone it down a few levels but still, you could never be fully prepared for his remarks.
BACKGROUND
shiwoo was born in seoul on the last days of spring 2003 and this makes him the youngest of eight siblings. yes, eight. shiwoo was babied by his siblings, especially insoo and young second, as they all pitched in to raise him. growing up with that many siblings was definitely a lot to handle as the house itself is the definition of loud chaos. but for the energetic shiwoo, he enjoyed interacting with people. seven older siblings excited him. each sibling had distinct traits so playing or joking around with them made him very hapy. he was always so loud and noisy, walking around everywhere, and doing the things he was told not to do.
his siblings may think he's a pain in the , but they can't deny that they can never hate him. it's always the youngest that gets the attention in korean families and that includes shiwoo. everyone always had something to say to him and they always had to try to put him to his place. he grew up to be an offspring of mischief. none of his siblings could deny it. he was the sibling that put salt instead of sugar in insoo's morning tea. he was the one who put the blame on young fourth when it was actually him who broke mom's vase. he proved time and time again, he was capable of mischief in all ways. he didn't mind the scolding, he grew numb to it fast.
was it the curse of the youngest? he didn't realize it at first but as he went through his puberty, he started to see how his presence was taken lightly in his house. he was growing into his own life with a set of his own values and opinions, surrounding himself with lots of friends. okay, he may not be as smart as his other siblings but he was doing well in high school. he is currently a humanities major at his school but he has yet to decide what he wants to do later in life.
he wants his concerns to be heard or taken seriously for once. his siblings have all the cool abilities and knowledge in their careers to be able to give him some advice. he wants his questions to have answers. he wants to be able to consult them. it frustrates him every time. he always wonders why they never give him slack. only insoo and his fifth sibling has the clarity to provide such wisedom to him. his seventh sibling is close to him in age so it's always nice to receive a sincere pat on the back once in a while. he decided not to care at all. he believes that sooner or later, his siblings will see his sincerity and love for them so his final decision? he's going to stay true to being rude, young, wild and free.
LIFESTYLE
shiwoo was ready to spend time with his friends for the summer while deep sleeping and finishing his netflix watch list. of course, he'd be pissed and defiant when he finds himself dragged to nasan. he has no recollection of nasan and finds the sentimental nostalgia insoo and young second have of nasan unrelatable and distant. initially upset and unprepared at the sudden turn of events, shiwoo's mood shifts to acceptance because he knows he doesn't have the capacity to stay in denial all summer. he's going to have to get used to the living circumstances and try to enjoy the surroundings. maybe, he'll surprise himself. just maybe, he'll start to warm up to the sentimental nostalgia insoo and young second have of nasan.
when not put into what he describes as child labour, he'll be exploring nasan. since he'll be there all summer, might as well as look for the hidden gems of the small town, right? that, and for storytelling purposes when he meets the guys. he can't return to school without a story worth sharing to his classmates. he's never spent summer with a concrete routine and does whatever his mood is. one day, he'll be at the boardwalk. the next day, he'll be renting a bicycle to venture the town while listening to the summer playlists he already prepared. it's not surprising if shiwoo becomes the first to know the way around the town and receive love from the neighbourhood aunties and elders for his looks. if he's at the restaurant, he'll just be pestering his siblings while trying to figure out if anyone brought portable wifi.
most likely set to be dishwasher kid or errand boy, he's definitely going to be told to do all sorts of things. he hates it because surely, he's not going to be taken seriously by his siblings but of course, shiwoo is not going to stay still. he's ready to shake things up in his own ways, though for now, he's not sure exactly how. maybe he'll mess up the errands or deliveries on purpose. maybe he won't wash the dishes. maybe he'll let the kitchen burn and admire it from afar.

APPEARANCE: his natural brown hair paired with his pale complexion and dark brown eyes have always succeeded in stealing the eyes of those around him. then, he'd politely send you a gentle smile and you'll wonder how god could've created such a good-looking kid. his bright smile and puppy-like looks are refreshing with the ability to make you melt. the older siblings envy him, as they are fond of pinching his smooth baby skin. personally, shiwoo hopes he grows taller soon. he hopes to at least be 180cm before college.

• being outside definitely the opposite of a homebody. enjoys going outside of the house and spend time at the mall or an arcade or any activity he feels like doing according his mood. he doesn't mind going out alone as long as he's not stuck in the house for too long.
• sports he keeps up with a lot of different sports since he shifts attentions often. his siblings catch him following the nba, english premier league, and the k-league 1. at school, he is often seen spending recess on the school football field, playing with his friends.

• wasting/throwing food though he's a picky eater, he will be offended if he sees someone waste food. it doesn't sit well with him, seeing as a lot of people were struggling to have a decent meal. they could've easily saved it for later or given it to someone else.
• being told off/called on he loves to pull pranks, joke around like an absolute clown and bother his siblings. in his mind, he knows when to stop so he hates being told. he will get offended every time but everyone knows his mood swings again so he'll be fine.
• aegyo something he's never understand. he irks whenever he watches celebrities being told to showcase their cuteness through aegyo. it's not cute to him since it seems so unnatural and exaggerated. he prefers cuteness to be something subtle and natural. he would rather die than be dragged into doing aegyo songs by his siblings.
• blood/gore always hated to see blood and gore appear in movies and will close his eyes and get nauseous whenever he sees it in real life. dislikes the violence that leads to gore so much. thankfully, he's never wanted to become a doctor or health worker.

• watch movies or series infamous among his siblings to have binge watched the new season of orange is the new black in one single day, shiwoo has this ability to set through lengthy movies or series so it'd be best not to break his rhythm.
• finding out new hotspots he loves to try out new things and going around new places. this results in him always being in the search of the newest hotspots. he'll know where the tastiest restaurants and trendy cafes are so you can rely on him to keep you updated.
• sleeps like a rock but will kick anyone who wakes him up before his alarm does
• very active in social media because he's definitely bored and enjoys paying attention to what his schoolmates are doing
• honestly loves his siblings to death, but whenever he tries to genuinely express his affection, they just laugh it off. more used to showing it through his actions.

a whopping twenty two year gap in age, shiwoo had a phase in his early childhood where he called insoo “dad”. that is not all a lie, though, since insoo stepped up to raise his younger siblings, the youngest being shiwoo. he always had a soft spot for puppy eyes and shiwoo turned out to be the best at using them to sway insoo. this doesn’t mean insoo is blind of shiwoo the cunning and blunt troublemaker. insoo could never escape from his pranks and often finds himself lured into a deal of all sorts that shiwoo proposes to get himself out of trouble. insoo can never predict shiwoo as he’s always shifting. fortunately, shiwoo knows how to listen and insoo will gain a sense of control over his brother until the next mischief he creates. all the more reasons why he isn’t the number one fan in shiwoo’s fanclub. for now, insoo sees shiwoo as the baby of the family that has resistible puppy eyes but can also never be prepared for the emotional changes and blunt words that comes with shiwoo’s loving and sociable virtues.

if shiwoo were to be blunt as usual, he’d point-blank describe his favorite sibling as “a real-life angel disguised as his walking atm”. shiwoo would definitely pick joowon as the nicest sibling, though young fifth is a close runner-up. mainly because his second eldest sibling loves to show his love and care through some ₩₩₩ and shiwoo is guilty of being the one who ceases the opportunities the most. other than the cash, joowon is very understanding of shiwoo and his thrill-seeking and prefers gentle love over insoo’s choice of occasional tough love. joowon would never tell him off on pranks, except if it results in an arguments with his siblings. joowon also has had his fair of teasing from shiwoo regarding his relationship with ahyeon but always shyly acknowledges them. truly, an angel in shiwoo’s eyes even if he’d do anything to escape additional history classes that come out of joowon’s mouth. he’s not interested in finding out what happened in the 1900s from his sibling, remembering his track record where he had always half-assed his history tests. don’t tell joowon that, though.

the best friend shiwoo’s ever had since middle school, woosang is pretty much the perfect yin to shiwoo’s yang with his more calm and collected approach to everything. woosang balances him out by being the rock that shiwoo can always depend on. the two boys never run out of topics when sharing a conversation and it strikes as a surprise for many that woosang is talkative when with shiwoo. their topics can span from gossips of the student body to human rights. woosang and shiwoo were definitely excited for the summer break as they had already planned their hangouts before the new school year. of course, those plans had to be cancelled as shiwoo was basically kidnapped by his siblings to nasan so the boys will have to settle communicating through texts and calls in which shiwoo will rant about the work, the sibling drama and all sorts of things. the second sibling he'll be shouting and pulling hairs with, shiwoo and hyein do love each other despite shiwoo always capable messing with her recipes and nearly burning the kitchen. shiwoo does give five stars for hyein's character. the confidence that she oozes and the hard work she put into the things they love are things shiwoo takes note of. though, he has to be frank and say that hyein is more attractive from afar. she never backs down easily and shiwoo finds himself often swept into a war with her. deep down, shiwoo would never let anyone mess with hyein, saying, "excuse me, that's kinda my job??? nobody steals my job???" so as much as he goes to war with her, he's that much willing to go to war for her sake.

yet, there's always a friend like ahrong who is always there for you but you'll realize you know little of her. ahrong rarely talks about herself and keeps her feelings inside. she's rather shy to do so. not one who has the courage to approach new people, ahrong prefers to be approached first. it is more comfortable for her to befriend someone who expresses their intentions to befriend her. when ahrong sees you as a friend, be prepared for her attention for her. she wants to be overly-involved and curious of your life. with the supply of patience she has, she works to perfection of detail and is relieved of results only when they have reached her own standards and expectations.
they've been following each other since they were classmates freshman year so it took him by surprised to see ahrong update her instagram story tagging nasan as her location. it's not a common travel spot so shiwoo was surprised to a student from his school spend the summer in nasan. actually, woosang did give him a hint before when he texted, "yo, maybe if you keep checking, maybe someone we know is also in nasan." okay, that's great but why yoo ahrong of all people?
they'll meet in nasan for the first time when shiwoo goes out to the boardwalk and ahrong was there on a stroll with matcha. out of courtesy in an awkward situation, shiwoo will be the one to say hi first and he'll go over to pet matcha. they share some basic chit chat before they part ways while they both take note of the fact that someone they know from school is in nasan.
after that awkward encounter, they'll be conscious of each other's whereabouts and pay attention to their instagram updates to avoid the chance of facing each other. they'll meet again when the yoo family decide to try dining at young nasan. her instagram location updated and shiwoo will reply to that story, ", whatever you do, don't say you're my classmate." ahrong will give a simple emoji.
from that day, they'll keep exchage texts to avoid running into each other. these texts evolve into different conversations and eventually, one encounter at a cafe on the boardwalk will lead them to bond. very unlike her, ahrong will step up to tell him, "since we're stuck here for the summer, might as well be stuck with each other." shiwoo agreed. his summer was looking stressful enough and he can't keep avoiding her for no reason. if you can't beat them, join them, right?
the reason they started becoming close was due to shiwoo contacting her first. ahrong responded fast and quick so they bonded over mutual boredom. texts become meetups around town. the more they hang out with each other, the more they wondered why they didn't get along before. they were opposites, but the chemistry they built showed more compatibility than disharmony.
shiwoo never realized ahrong was such a nice person to hang out with and to talk to. plus, matcha is the cutest dog ever. while to ahrong, having a good-looking guy with a great personality like shiwoo willingly hang out with her felt unreal. his siblings noticed the obviously different vibes between the two but the two kids have yet to notice. they enjoy things as they are right now. they have all summer to figure it out anyways.
