Profanity: No, he does not curse at all. Since he was younger he felt like should be good role model for his younger siblings. Curse words just doesn't come out of his out, even in frutrations he ends sighing "ah..." instead.

joowon gives a warm and friendly impression to everyone he meets. although, he is reserved it doesn't mean he is super quiet or hard to talk to. he just takes time to open up to people about deep thoughts or concerns that has been on his mind. he feels more comfortable talking to others about their problems rather than his own. joowon has always been full of emotions. in a good sense, he is empathetic to people's feelings and situations. he likes listening to people and giving advices. in a negative way, he can be sensitive, easily feels hurt by personal criticism and comments. his pride gets hurt but, he has never been the type to be shameless confident to pick a fight over things like that. he tries not to mind it these days but, if it's constructive criticism then he will keep it in mind to improve himself. Conflicts and confrontations is something he never enjoys getting into. one would think he would be used to it by now, growing up with seven siblings getting into conflicts was ineivtable and breaking up messy fights between the younger sibling was also joowon's normal. still, even if he had encountered it countless of times, he still feels uncomfortable towards confrontations. he will handle conflicts if neccessary. he is an attentive person, he remembers small details about people he knows. he remembers special dates - birthdays, anniversary, what they like and dislike, important details from a conversation they had with him. he is very loyal to people close to him. he puts others before himself and would stick with them the good and bad. he tries to be the peace keeper. he tries to fill the want and needs of other people. sometimes it means sacrificing his own desires.
he is a perfectionist, he strives to be do a good job at whatever task he has to do. part of the reason why he tries so hard to do well in pretty much everything is because he wants to be a good role model for other especially his siblings. also, if can perfect something well he could help by teaching back to others. thinking like this both a burden and a pride kind of thing. he sets high expectations for himself which motivates him in a good way. when he doesn't reach his goal he gets disapointed. but it doesn't last too long becasue it he gets back up from encouragement and support from people who are his mental support particularly insoo, hyunbin, and ahyeon. they know him too well that he tends overthink and be hard on himself. he thinks too much about different perspective to a simple problem or what's right and wrong according to a situation. he usually likes sticking to tradition, the way he used to doing things. it doesn't mean he can't adapt to change. he just takes time and he just fines it easier and quicker to do things the way he noramally does like a routine. he likes solving problem, especially the practical soution to problems. rather than complex theory or ideas, he perfers cutting to the direct practical part of the problem. when it comes to his siblings the practical solution for most problems is money.
Background: young joowon is the second child the young family, born and raised in nasan, south korea. he has little memories of nasan growing up. his parents were always busy with their restaurant, young nasan so, he spent most of his time with insoo hyung. he remembered getting ready to go to school with insoo in the small house where the cockroaches and rats would run around. he also has a faint memory of hanging out at the carnival and boardwalk with insoo on sunny afternoon with a popsicle in his hand.
as he grew up, the number of siblings also gradually increased. when he was nine, he saw the struggle his older brother, insoo had taking care of his siblings while they're parents were busy. he started helping out as much he could. the two practically raised the siblings themselves. when young seoul became popular, at age of eleven they moved to seoul. throughout middle school and high school, joowon wasn't super close to anyone in school, since he didn't the time to join any sports or clubs afterschool. he come home from school, help take care of them, change their diapers, feed them, all while doing his homework and eating his dinner. when he was in high school, he would get paid being a waiter at young seoul. he kept the money to save up for the future. well.. he did use some of it to but stuff for his siblings. his sisters liked the latest clothes and makeup. he bought [young fifth] potted plants and flower seeds to grow in their backyard. he purchased cooking recipes books for [young sixth] and helped her in the kitchen but, she quickly surpassed in skills that he had a hard time keeping up. for his other brothers he bought games or the toy figurine they wanted.
fast forward to university, he was offered a spot in snu but rejected and chose korea university instead. he liked this school best because of its historic background. he was getting his bachelor's in business adminstration. he used his saving to help pay for his books and part of the tuition. he also worked a lot of part time jobs to pay for his education not just at young seoul. his parents pitched in too but, he didn't want to depend on them for all the money. he communted to and from school becasue he still wanted to live with his siblings. he spent four years and finished his bachelor's. he started studying to get his master's.
at around the time, his family decided to arrange a marriage for joowon with the hwang yuna the youngest daughter of hwang hotels. it a situation that neither him or yuna wanted to be in. she had a boyfriend and he didn't plan on get married to someone he barely knows. he did know how to reject the idea to his parents. so, he chose the only option he could think of at the time, run away to military. they continued meeting to please their parents and buy time until the enlistment date came. then he finally enlisted and his parents were of course shocked and a little upset. the arranged marriage was called off much to joowon's relief. as time went by, they have forgotten about it.
joowon discharged from the military and went back to complete his master's. when he graduated, he got his first job as a junior accountant at a corporate company. He got promoted to accountant and later became a financial analyst at a bank. in 2017, his good friend from uni, jeon hyunbin asked joowon to join a fashion company he is going to start up. He was reluctant at first since he had a stable and good job at the bank. In the end, he decided to join Crown Sense.
Lifestyle:
joowon is currently working as a finance director at Crown Sense, a fashion brand founded of his best friend jeon hyunbin. Crown Sense is fairly successful, it's been raising in popularity since a few fashion influencers began promoting it. he works from monday to friday. 8-5. going from the luxury life in seoul to nasan is quite different. but, in seoul is still living with siblings in the family house so, it not too bad living with others although he did have his own room in seoul.
however, it was not exact the best timing in the world for him. he had been planning for a couple of months now to propose his girlfriend of three years. he finally decided to purchase the ring and propose on her birthday July 30th. he has not decided how though. the day he bought the ring and came how to tell his brother. insoo also had news of his own. the plan to ressurect old nasan over the summer overlapped with his proposal date. it was a bit of a dilemma in his head but he chose to help his brother out of the goodness of heart. maybe, he'll figure out the whole proposal thing in nasan eventhough, there isn't a lot locations in nasan he'll figure out something he supposes. the other reason he decided to do it is that he hopes his brother would settle down already. he hopes this time she's the one, if insoo was going through this much trouble she might just be.

Appearance: joowon is considered tall and has nice proportions standing at 178cm and weighing 66kg. he has black hair that he combs it down from the corner. for fancy occasions, he gels it up.
Style: Since Joowon works in the business industry, he usually wears black blue, or gray suit to work. On a daily basis, he does prefer a dandy and neat or buisness casual style. He likes buttoned up collared shirts, dresspants or dark jeans, sneakers or dress shoes. He likes darker colors but, if lighter its okay if they still look neat and dandy. Ex: one two three

• horror movies the gory deaths, errie music, and ghost popping up out of nowhere are all difficult for him to watch

• cheesecake cheese by itself is fine, doesn't like cheese in cakes. he would eat a couple of pieces out of politeness if he was in public

Hobbies:
• touring history museums he feels like he is in heaven at museums. he likes going with other people boring them to death with his explanations. he has been to many in korea and some oversees, continunes to discover new ones
• reading history books is a given, also enjoys reading self- improvement books and adventure genre fiction
• magic tricks he learned when he was in middle school becasue was interested in magic and wanted to entertain his younger siblings
• running he goes jog for 30 minutes every morning in the park
• photography he enjoys taking photos for his siblings, friends , and girlfriend. he always tries improve on his techniques for a better photo

young insoo / eldest brother
they have been through a lot raising their siblings together so they came to be very close to each other. insoo is joowon's older brother but, he is also friend-like, his bestfriend to be exact. when joowon didn't have a girlfriend, joowon joined insoo clubbing once a week. now, that he is dating, insoo joins him at the wine bars instead. they tend to talk about their concerns, siblings, daily life and relationships. back then, insoo taught joowon how flirt and hook up with girls. these days jooown gives insoo advice on how to talk to a girl he genuinely likes and wants to get to know, not the player way but the normal way. insoo still has a long way to go.

they may not be super close since they don't have a lot in common. but, they still get along just fine and does not adore her any less. she is the one who teaches him all the new internet slangs and trends. since he enjoys photography, he would take aesthetic photos for her instagram. they would things out of support for one another. inna would wear Crown Sense clothes in her video (sometimes its sponsered, sometimes its not). joowon would follow her social media and press like on her contents/posts.
young soyi / fourth sibling (collab with kpopdazed)
although their personalities are very different from each other, they are surprisingly quite close. they both value privacy, prefering to not talk about personal concerns or hardships, having mutual understanding and respect to not pry. soyi and joowon would bond over wine and museums. she would send him wine as a gift and he would ask her if she needs anything, he would buy with his card. soyi might be a pain in the in the past and sometimes she may still annoy him with the pranks and scaring him but, he still cares and protective of her nevertheless.
young jinsol / fifth sibling (collab with reinas)
joowon would consider Jinsol as one the siblings he is closest to. the two are seen together often. back in Seoul, they are gym buddies since they usually wake up the earliest and enjoy exercising. in nasan, joowon would help jinsol tend the graden early in the morning before helping open up the restaurant. among all his siblings, he does feel a little more protective of jinsol just because jinsol reminds him of himself when he was younger. joowon used to be an softhearted emotional child (more than he is now) which insoo had to protect, now joowon gets to do that for jinsol. joowon would often give advices if jinsol ever needs someone to talk to.

the two have been close ever since hyein's interest for cooking began at a young age. joowon would do all he could to help her explore her passion by teaching her how to cook using cook books, bought her the cook tools, and treated her to a variety restaurant food. the mentor has now become a mentee, these days hyein would be the one teaching him. he really adimires her ambition and fiery energy which he lacks in. they're in tune with one another when it comes work ethic, they always take their task at hand seriously and get it done in the best way possible. they're the best partners.

seventh is the the sibling he feels least close to, it might just be that they're so much younger than him and is the quiet one. they don't cause any trouble for him to clean up their mess, which he would say is a relief. joowon is protective of them and spoils them just like with eighth.

joowon's biggest headache but also their precious youngest. shiwoo is the cause of the chaos in the house starting pranks in which would result in complains yells from the other siblings. joowon understands shiwoo's excitement for the thrill. he usually would not tell him off on harmless pranks (although he would have to console the victim) but he would interfere if it was sibling conflict or argument. sometimes, he feels he spoils the youngest too much, he gives cash for whatever shiwoo wants or needs. joowon gets embarrassed when shiwoo would tease joowon about things like joowon's relationship, when he calling ahyeon on the phone or her coming to visit.
jeon hyunbin / best friend
joowon's other best friend. they have been friends since their university days. hyunbin is the extroverted one and can be reckless, the total opposite of joowon. hyunbin enjoys challenges and would pull joowon in with him just like when he made his brand and hired joowon. while joowon is in nasan, hyunbin text and video call every week to update him on fashion trends and to chat, all ears if joowon wants to just rant about his day. hyunbin seem to end his call with telling joowon to survive the summer chaos in one peice and come back to seoul because he and the company won't survive without him. or some other sappy closing statement in which joowon just gives an awkward response to.

Background:
Jung ahyeon is born and raised in Seoul although her family is from Nasan. she works as a musical actress. she has been rasing in popularity among the musical people. people who are not into musicals or in the musical acting industry mostly don't who she is. she doesn't mind it though, she started her career because of her love for it. her recent musical ended and she doesn't have a new musical. she's been wanting a vacation. after working three musical projects in a row and modeling projects she has had a real break in two years away from seoul. since joowon told her that he's going to nasan for the summer to help his family restaurant, she decides on impluse to surprise him by going there for her summer vacation too. why not? it will be a fun expereince and she can come visit and help him out at young nasan often. she just happens to have an aunt who owns a farm that delivers produce for restaurants in nasan. she can stay with her aunt, they're close but, she just didn't have the time to visit often.
Initial Meeting:
they met prior to story at the book signing of joowon's favorite and well respected history professor, jung dohyun who is also an nonfiction history author. he was invited by professor jung himself because joowon was his top student and they enjoyed chatted about history during break time. joowon was so excited standing in line, he started chatting with the female standing in front of him. the female turned out to be ahyeon who is professor Jung's daughter. she was amused that he did not know who she was and was so excited by history. she liked history too because of her father's constant lectures but, not as much as joowon. After, the booksign professor jung invite joowon to dinner with him and his daughter. Then, he left early and it was just the two at dinner like a date. The two got long well that day and exchanged numbers.
Love Story: After the date, they texted and went out for dates often. It went on for about two months until joowon confessed first. He had contemplated that entire day on when he was going to say it. The date began at the art museum. he couldn't say anything and couldn't even pay attention to the art. When they ate dinner, he couldn't enjoy his steak. they ended the day with him taking her home, he finally confessed right in front of her apartment building. And with the flowers in which he hastily took out of the trunk. but the shy and clumsy dork side of him that comes out rarely when he's awkward is cute to ahyeon.
their three year relationship is sweet and lovely-dovey. their natural skinship and consideration for each other is an cute from perspective view. they seemed like the perfect fit without any conflict. however, ahyeon and joowon did have difficulties in the beginning because they are both think about others before themselves. communication was key, they attempted to talk more of their true feelings. they have a very ideal relationship. over the years they have learned and grown from what made their relationship work. they enjoyed dates that they liked but also could enjoy their partner's interest just as much. For example, joowon enjoyed museums and exercising. ahyeon enjoys shopping malls and sightseeing. they other regular couple dates such as amusement parks, watching movies or musicals and cafe.
Interactions:
- joowon did not know that ahyeon was coming Nasan in the summer too. She video called him earlier the day before. She wanted to surprise him. she arrived in Nasan about four days after him.
- ahyeon would drive her aunt's delivery truck that carries the produce/ingredients to young nasan every week meeting her boyfriend who was in charge of inventory
- they usually kept their pda to a minimum in front of his siblings
- she tends expresses her affection verbal through straight forward comments unlike joowon who is more likely to show it through actions like reaching out to hold her hand when they're walking or wrapping his arms around her waist when they just standing around
- joowon and ahyeon would have casual dates waking around the boardwalk or hangouts at the youngs' house (taking care of the chaos while insoo is gone trying to meet his crush, joowon and ahyeon being parents for the day)
- his siblings almost by accident/or to , letting it slip about the proposal and joowon panicking covering it up
- joowon propose in her birthday, maybe borrowing the restaurant during it's closing time. with decorations help from siblings. Lights and candles placed on floor as a walkway. on the walls are photos he has taken of them over the years. then he'll appear with flowers and the ring ( or you can come up with a proposal ideal. "I really don't have a preference" joowon paused for a moment thinking about it "but, objectively one of out of the two of us should room with troublemaker [young eight]. also our sweet and fragile soul [young fifth] someone needs to protect him"
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT SPENDING YOUR SUMMER AT NASAN?
"I never had the chance to come visit. I remember very little of Nasan so, I think it's nice to spend my summer in Nasan to create new memories with the family. Also-" joowon paused for a moment before continuing. " Maybe you're right. Maybe I'll be able to come up with ideas for my proposal with the change of scenery."
WHAT WOULD YOUR ROLE BE AT THE RESTAURANT?
"You're probably going make me work in the back, since some of the younger sibling will have work in the front as waiters and we can't have them make a mess in the kitchen. Inventory or helping out [young sixth] who will most likely be our chef?" Joowon concludes.
WHY IS INSOO HYUNG YOUR FAVORITE SIBLING?
joowon is caught by a surprise. he doesn't really think about who his favorite siblings or list reasons why he likes them he just does. joowon retained his composure and smiled. "we know each other best, i'm practically your best friend as you are mine."

Concerns: at first, I was quite worried about his personality, since it is similar to young fifth. I wanted to make less strict compared to insoo yet reliable older brother. I don't know if he gave off that feeling or not. About the proposal, if you think it's unneeded you can just ignore it. at first, I added for an interesting twist. since the other siblings ending might be dating since he is one the older it would nice have his as marriage proposal.
