alice lee has always been one to care deeply on appearance. beauty is skin deep. a shallow yardstick to evaluate people, some might say – but for the girl, it is her means of making money. prepped with the best stylists and dermatologists, you would never see a pimple appearing on her glass skin. it's like she doesn't even have pores. her skincare and haircare alone could afford someone's rent. alice has naturally brown hair which she bleached occassionally depending if the job calls for it – they say it looks more sultry and y. so, she doesn't mind. she has the best hair stylist to make sure she won't suffer hair fall anyways.

most likely to win the presidential election, lee seri. since she was young, seri has always been the one to make her own decisions in life. she is an opinionated woman which sometimes, takes matter to her own hands. while things may get messy, seri has always been the one to step up on the plate and take the blow for her actions; which isn't a bad thing. she harnesses a skill of persuasion where everything she says would make total sense. she can persuade you into thinking 2+2 is 5. with an effective choice of words combined with this beauty's charming charisma, it's not hard to see how even the experienced couldn't resist her. that's why lee seri is dubbed as ursa's real ceo for a reason. when things go sour, it is her who did damage control. it is her who speaks on behalf of the group in amidst of controversies. all in all. she believes that she is responsible to those she loves and it breaks her heart if she knows that her friends are sad as she would feel that it is her responsibility as a friend to keep them happy. seri takes her relationships pretty seriously – loyalty plays a huuuuge role in her relationships whether in romantic relationships or friendly relationships. that's a good thing, you won't catch her telling your secrets to the world.

to put it in a nice-way, it's called opinionated. well, it's just another way to say stubborn. only seri can make calls for herself; if she fails, she'll fail on her own grounds and she'll live a life without regrets. that's what seri has been doing since she's a teenager. choosing the path of being an idol is risky – her mother begged her to go to university but knowing their financial status, she would only burden her. hence, the reason why she joined high rise. a girl, who graduated with the result that would qualify her to go to seoul university, a dream of many, is the same girl who decided to become a singer. she is hard to persuade – but most of the time, she's tolerable. she won't force her beliefs in you as long as you don't force yours on her.
seri can also be quite manipulative. look – when you're born with looks, you can see how different people see you. when you're born with brains, you can see how people respect you. seri knows she's lucky. she knows she's god's favourite – and why not use it upon her advantage? throughout her life, seri knows she holds some sort of power towards a certain group of people. she knows that some people befriend her for her social status – that doesn't stop her from befriending them though, but that doesn't certainly mean she'll be as nice. sure, she's loyal, generous, most of the time, nice.. but she can be a nightmare too. cross her line and you'll get threats. she'll victimize herself to make you the bad guy. she'll play the pretty angel card. she'll tell others to isolate you. she'll make your life, your worst nightmare. no resentment whatsoever. she's loyal with those who are loyal to her – but if you're a faker, she wouldn't be afraid to play the same game.
another bad thing about seri is that; she's short-tempered. seri trained herself to not let sadness consume her – she cries in movies for the characters, but never for herself. she will never let anyone symphathize with her, not even herself. so, she channeled her sadness through anger. instead, of being disappointed, she becomes angry. instead of feeling scared, she'll throw a fit. her anger does lead to bad consequences though – she may say some nasty things in the spur of the moment but unlike some, who basically said it was irrational, she believes it was the moment where she finds the extra courage in her to fight back and not let others step on her.
seri is not a firm believer of horoscopes – but she does relate to her sun sign, scorpio a lot. one of the most relatable trait is vindictive. she forgives, but she never forget. seri would consider herself as diplomatic– she may not like that person, but it would be too childish to publicly display their hate, right? and perhaps, this is why seri doesn't have many close friends. connections? heaps of it, but real friends? there's not a lot; this girl just wouldn't let things go – even things that happen four years ago which has been resolved.

pre-debut history
to be frank, no one actually has thought about lee seri's life as an idol. lee seri has always been a bright child – on top of the class. creme de la creme. lee seri has dreams of becoming a lawyer; but when things fell through for her mother's business, she has to witness her dreams shatter as she can't afford going to law school without burdening her mother. seri decided to not pursue higher education; instead, she decided to work to lessen her mother's financial burden instead.
seri knows that her looks play an important role in getting everything she wants – she decided, she wanted to be an actress. it's not like she wasn't stopped before by scouting agents, it was just that she wasn't interested in it at that moment.
so, why high rise, instead of groups like yg and sm if she's that sought out after? it was simple. she noticed the uncertainty of being a trainee, therefore, she made a pre-condition that she will be signing both trainee contract and debut contract. one of the prequisites is; she has to debut within two years of her training period.
high rise decided it was worth the shot, and at 2012, lee seri debuted as an actress, taking small acting gigs like cfs and web dramas. she also plays extra in some of them. her success is set to rival that of jeon jihyun but at 2013, her activities as an actress comes to a halt by high rise.

lee seri; high rise's princess. it was no doubt that a lot of trainees envy her. she debuted with a training period of eight months when she made her debut. her career as an actress skyrocketed when she appear as a magazine front cover. for a rookie, that's pretty much the best that you can get. her career was going on a steady pace before high rise put a halt on it. in mid-2013, seri was put into training again. this time, it was to debut in ursa.
of course, at first, it infuriates the little lee seri. she has already made her name out there for her company to stop her bag. with short training period, she became alice, ursa's member. at first, it felt odd. it felt weird. she wasn't used to performing – while she didn't mind it, it did feel very different than what she was used to. let alone being the leader of the group – some of them, she only knew their names during the recording session. she wasn't trained with the other kids, she was given one-on-one training session for a more 'intensive' training.
seri knew it was to make sure that ursa has some little fame before they debut, to get some buzz going around. to be quite frank, it worked. their debut was a success and they are getting more famous as time flies.
she was starting to fit into the character of their leader– the bossy queen who knows how to pull up a good argument. the y big sister that you hate but would call her to scare a bully away. that's seri. to be quite frank, life as an idol for her is a show. she tasted fame with more privacy as an actress (although that career) is short-lived; but she endured everything. all for her members.
did she eventually enjoy performing? yes. she loves the spotlight. she loves the fame. she loves the money. what she loves the most though, is spending her time with her members.
now, their contracts are almost up – deep inside, she knows it's all or nothing with ursa. it's either they all renew their contracts as ursa or disband; and unlike the majority, she's hoping for the former.

pushing her airpods into her ears, seri scrolled through her spotify playlist to kill the time. her flight to china felt as if nothing now that she got used to it – airplanes are like her second home, even more than the training rooms do. a playlist of song by ursa caught her attention. performing gets redundant most of these days that she personally prefer commercials. they only promote once a year; it's basically an annual reunion for the girls.
she let out a faint chuckle, she pressed on their debut song, playing their first hit. the song took her back a few years ago during their pre-debut when seri was hated during her trainee life. imagine your spot being taken away by a girl who didn't even want that spot to begin with. tragic; but that's what happened to her. the awkward tension did not stop there when she was put in a room with the other members, who she had no idea who they are.
ah, the members. they had a rocky start – with 'alice' messing up steps to her lack of 'stage presence' but as their song climbs up the chart, they slowly warmed up to each other. she started to play the role of a leader, being the mediator in arguments and making sure that ursa is doing fine. scandals? she controls the damage. hidden relationships? she makes sure they won't get caught. miscommunication with the management? she'll sort it out.
she has also learn to make connections as well. look, you don't really need to sleep with the producers – just go for lunch with them discreetly, excuse yourself because you have a busy schedule and boom, modelling gig for ursa. the reporters? they run through the news with her first. if the news could ruin ursa's reputation, she'll trade the news with a bigger controversy. the devil works hard but alice works harder.
alice may have not been the most essential member of ursa but she has been busting her as the backbone of the group. she's the major reason why no member has left ursa yet. 'what would ursa be without lee seri?' she thought.
deep inside, she knew that high rise has did less than the bare minimum to maximize their capabilities as an artist. while her ultimate goal is to be a celebrity, her bandmates' goals are to be artists; and high rise did them dirty – but she felt like it wasn't her place to complain.
she has a high rise two-storey penthouse in gangnam – and another penthouse for her mother and brother 15 minutes away from her home. she's riding a rolls royce with a designated driver. she has wealth that could feed her next three generations. so, what else could she possibly ask for when all she has to do is smile for the camera?

shion holds a special place in seri's heart– sure, the other girls are nice; but shion felt warm right from the start. perhaps, shion hasn't grasped the concept of envy as she debut at a young age, or maybe, it's just not in her nature to be jealous or anything but seri didn't feel like it was ever a competition between these two – whether it's the center spotlight or the "i'm more talented!" spotlight, she's just there to vibe.

seri and sehyung shares a whopping age difference of five years; it was either family planning or, just an unplanned pregnancy. it is a blessing though as sehyung is the moodmaker of the house; and seri is pretty much the girl who locks herself up inside her room most of the time. seri calls sehyung useless. he's lazy, he gets bad grades in university, he likes to party— worst of all, he likes to ask for seri's money.

the path of being an idol is often rocky – but being a trainee is no joke. seri met mira when they were both training. seri met her once or twice around the eating grounds when she was training to be an actress. briefly talked to each other once when mira complimented seri's eyeshadow; but that's it. it wasn't until she becomes a trainee as an idol did they mieet again. mira was one of the girls set to be in the group – and seri found solace in the girl's presence. she's friendly; but it wasn't in your face. she's a little bit aloof at times – but that only occurs when she day dreams.
when the lineup was released, seri was deeply saddened when mira didn't make the cut. she trains hard enough, she has enough potential, but they still didn't choose her. mira, then, decided to not renew her contract and pursued higher education.
they met again when they were both twenty five. mira has become a renowned makeup artist, a master in her profession as she built her portfolio during university. they exchanged numbers and started texting each other about memes and their deep profound love towards makeup.
mira is pretty much the only person she allows herself to be fragile with. mira knows everything – and while she does tend to reply with jokes, mira knows how to listen to her rants. they both have really horrible humour but their humour compliments each other; which makes them soulmates.

everyone in the company sort of know who's noe gyeoul – she's one of the longer trainees in high rise. from what she's heard, she's a talented trainee; a power to be reckoned with. that's why when gyeoul wasn't chosen as the final lineup for ursa, it puzzled seri – but nonetheless, it wasn't her business to care about what the girl has to do.
life went on as usual until a familiar name was chosen to debut in a junior group, agate. gyeoul; in a way, she was happy for her debut. true, seri's debut with ursa was not the fairest way of debut; therefore, whenever she heard one of those rejected members doing well now, she felt relieved – that she didn't destroy lives by stealing others' opportunities.
however, she never really talk to her – she doesn't think it was all necessary for her to get too friendly with agate and gyeoul did not seem to fancy the idea of being too friendly with her as well (unlike some juniors who go out of their way to befriend her).
it wasn't until after the high rise concert happened did she felt something was off with gyeoul. the way she noticed how gyeoul would look at her with distaste. the way she didn't mind being around other ursa members but would shift places when seri is nearby – it wasn't until she saw how uncomfortable she was when she is with hareum. was it jealousy? was it possessiveness? seri didn't know – as arrogant as it sounds, she has never felt threatened by anyone, anyways.
however, still, it honestly irks seri – she was not a saint per se and there's a lot of people she dislike; but the fact that she was disliking her when they've never even talk? now, she understands why some people said it is a sin to be born pretty. people dislike you for breathing.
but, no. seri isn't the type to kill hate with kindness. that's bull. two can play the game; and if being with hareum would annoy the hell out of her, made her restless, or in general, loathes her even more, then, why not? gyeoul already hates her – why not give her a reason to?

park hareum is also a familiar name in high rise. even though seri was an actress at that time, she does know a thing or two about the idol trainees. mostly because her manager likes to gossip but she knew there was a lot of buzz surrounding hareum, not being picked into re:vive;but at that time, she didn't really care – she never thought of being one of the idols anyways.
anyways, seri first met hareum when the group formally introduces themselves to their seniors. at that time, seri didn't really bat an eyelash towards the group. they're labelmates; but that's it. it's not like it is compulsory for her be good friends with them. so, it all went pretty smooth – nothing big happened.
it isnt until high rise threw their annual family concert when they actually talk to each other. being of the same age and both being leaders, it's easy to find things to talk about. given the nature that hareum is not one of those cheesy boys who would try to get her number, it made seri felt more comfortable – plus, he actually laughs heartily at her eccentric jokes.

allioth is the brightest star in the constellation of ursa major, it connects the handle to the bowl and alice is supposed to hold similar responsibilities in ursa. as the leader of ursa, she has grown from being forced to take the role to enjoying having her sisters with her — but as solo activities started making the girls busy, the sisterhood they once shared got lost along the way. she's starting to wonder where did it went wrong; as a matter of fact, where did she went wrong?
