the future nation's first love. minjun embodies the role of a seemingly perfect boyfriend very well. soft-spoken, understanding, tall, soothing voice, a little cheeky on the side but nothing too repulsive. minjun is adaptive to his surroundings; his skills include knowing when to fake it, knowing what to do in certain situations and how to get out of problems easily. he is quick on his feet and is quite good at fitting in with a lot of diverse groups of people. with that being said, he is also very friendly. he's not the one who tries hard in a conversation or crack unfunny jokes on their first meetings; he's just the type to know how to carry a conversation and knows that different people has different pace. he's good at befriending introverts, appreciating the comforting silence and not speaking over them; and also, good at befriending extroverts, getting along with their rowdiness. clubbing? up on his alley. quiet cafe hopping? his favourite. 

minjun is also very caring. he's not the best at displaying his emotions but he does care a lot about the people he love. he would treat them meals weekly, he would often ask them if they're doing fine and he would have little comforting gestures to show that he'll always be there for them. fun fact about minjun: he's very wise. with an iq of 145, he knows how to put his big brain to good use. he is very wise, he has a good control of articulating his words, he has the ability to be frank and honest without overstepping the thin line of being blunt. overall, he's just a great person where you can confide to when you have problems. instead of solving it for you, he'll have a talk with you, leading you to solve your own problems. as you can see, he's very observant too. he's quick to pick up whether someone like something or the other way around. he knows when someone feels sad and if they need time alone or they need someone to cheer them up. we love an understanding king. <3

minjun can also be quite the flirt. he likes being showered with attention; and he likes giving attention to others as well. from compliments to skinships, he's the master of them all to the point where flirting becomes a habit. minjun is also very funny and witty – his sense of humour, while sometimes, might be questionable but most of the time, he is a genuinely funny guy. the guy that would probably tease you for laughs and giggles. with that being said, minjun can be a quiet person sometimes though. yes, he likes being in the crowd, he loves being showered attention and he loves laughing; but to be frank, minjun prefers to have someone carry the conversation. he likes listening and observing others more; taking in the fun moment as his memory. with that being said, minjun is also very experimental. he likes doing new things and being adventurous is right up on his alley. he likes exploring the world and learning new knowledge. oh, and yes, and he's also . <3 oh and he is also open-minded. he doesn't mind being friends with anyone; and pretty much, you can share everything with him. minjun doesn't judge <3 

remember when i told you minjun likes attention? yes, well, give him the attention and he'll cling to you like there's no tomorrow. minjun is a little competitive, it's in his nature to strive to be the best he could and he doesn't like it when people shift their attention to something else. he's very touchy and sometimes, will make you feel a little suffocated from all the attention he's giving to you and the ones that he needs. oh, and the kind of boyfriend that would send you a good morning d*ck pic as a breakfast too. he can also get slightly possessive because of his clinginess. he doesn't like the idea of sharing the love with others when it comes to his favourite people. minjun's the kind of guy to wake up, and seek attention – they're mostly caused by his insecurity though.minjun created this perfect image of himself in his head; and gets hugely disappointed when he didn't live up to his expectation. most of his confidence is based by validation by other people, so, in a way, when he didn't feel validated by others, it makes him sad :( this insecurity, however, may lead him to be easily envious towards others. he doesn't like being compared; who does? 

minjun is also quite stubborn. if he's not in the entertainment industry, he would have go to a law school. he is very opinionated and is hard to convince. a hard-headed guy with a thick skull. oh, and do i mention that he's very good at being persuasive too? yeah, it comes with being good wiith soft skills. oh, and he can be very intimidating too. minjun is generally a chill guy who doesn't really care about anything; but there are some things that ticks him off and you definitely don't want to tick him off. he's stern; and while he's not the type to nag, whenever he says something, everyone follows suit. charming. if you think you know him well, think harder because minjun is very secretive. he doesn't display his emotions, he doesn't rant about what's on his mind, he prefers to keep it in most of the time – which is bad because instead of telling someone upfront, he resorts to being sulky <\3

heo minjun is set to do great things. his father works as an engineer while his mother is a high school teacher. they're not wealthy but they're not too poor either. his childhood was pretty normal – he's considered the brain of the family, his parents pressure him a lot academically, he was overweight. basically, he struggled through out his life as a teenager with body issues and academic pressure; not in any life did he ever considered being an idol. however, he stayed afloat. in minjun's last year of high school, he lost a lot of weight due to skipping meals to study. he graduated high school with flying colours. then, he was accepted into seoul national university's business school on business administration. yes, the university that places only the smartest 1%. the creme de la creme. it's not his passion, but who is he to complain when he enters into a university everyone wants? best thing is, he's a scholarship student. the full ride, for free. 

minjun is known for being a jack of all trades, a master in everything he does. he's like king midas. everything he touches, turns gold. so, that's probably why minjun has problems finding what he wants to do in the future. minjun loves arts – but his parents want him to pursue science stream in high school because he's 'gifted'. minjun likes learning new languages; but his parents said that the money for a language teacher would better off go to a maths tuition. he was compelled to fit the mold of the perfect student; just because he was intellectually capable of so. he was actually, scouted as an intern in sm entertainment. he, eventually, realized that his dream, is to become a shining star. 

training

minjun joined sm entertainment in july 2017 when he interned in sm; after his internship period is over, minjun auditioned after being recommended by the talent agent he used to have lunch with. in a way, minjun knew that without his visuals or the 'connection' he had, he would have not been accepted into the company. it isn't to say that he's too bad or he's not talented – but he's definitely not "that" great; but they claim that he has star potential and is a great role model to the public, whatever that may mean.

training was tough; but it was doable. the idea of being an idol actually seems to be the right path for him. sure, it was tough to struggle between shuttle buses; the long hours of commuting from training to university, the lack of sleep he got, it was tiring but he was improving. from being one labelled as "visual trainee", he developped his singing skills and becomes one of the great singers in the company. 

in february 2018, only after a few months of being trained, he was 'plucked' by madame kang. the catch? drop out from university. she said it was for him to be more 'committed'. madame kang was willing to pay the whole reimbursement from dropping his scholarship which is a huge fortune right there. it was a tough decision; he spent almost his whole entire childhood studying to get into the university, but he wanted to be an idol so bad. so, he dropped out. no turning back. madame kang made a great decision though as he proved himself to be one of the best vocalist there is, with only one month is the rigorous training to snatch the position of lead vocal #2.

technically speaking, soori and minjae aren't the best parents there is, but to be fair, they are doing it out of love and concern. they wanted the best for minjun's future. however, when they called minjun delusional when he dropped out of university, it ticked him off. his mother has always tried to stay in contact with minjun. although he did reply to her texts, he never agreed to meet her. he would only do once he is successful enough to rub it on his parents' faces that he can be successful his way.

minjun is typically very level-headed; he was born and raised in a conservative surrounding where seniority takes place in every aspect of life and he respects those older than him but there's something so cute about this sam. minjun didn't really know a lot of people before sljk happened. since he went to a university, his schedules followed that of younger trainees. vocal classes and dance classes with kids as young as 14 isn't something fun at the grown age of 20. sam is, one of the first friends he had, in the company. sam is nice enough to teach him how to dance, considering he's one of the weaker dancers – but here's the the thing. sam's really blunt; and minjun doesn't like feeling as inferior. in a way, it creates a playful banter between them when sam calls minjun out for his wrong step. all is done in fun though, minjun knows when to stop playing around. they also have a friendly rivalry when it comes to who has the best body. oh, and minjun might be attracted to sam. minjun would definitely tap sam's . if there's something that minjun loves more than life, it's lee sam's man .

when people go to danny, people think of fun things. after all, he is the "fun" manager. well, that's true. danny is fun; in fact, minjun spent a lot of time with danny. they went drinking together, they went to the gym together. in fact, they have a lot of common interests. when no one wants to play video games with him, he'll call danny up and he'll always be there for him. even his protein shake is bought based on danny's recommendation. however, to minjun, danny is a lot more. danny is the guy minjun would go to when he feels sad. the guy that minjun would tell all of his deepest sorrow and would cry on his shoulder. minjun trusted danny the most. the first person he'll think about when he wants to share something sad or happy :> minjun also likes his man s <3

— "easy! the average age of the team," he said, letting out a slight laugh before composing himself back. "a handsome face? a nice voice? a funny personality? wow, i'm adding quite a lot here." he said, smiling. he's generally on the quieter side, but he can speak if he wants to. "i'm also adding the average height of the team," he added, winking at the camera while shooting a finger gun. totally charismatic.

what are you confident in? what do you lack?

— "i'm confident in... myself," he said. "i mean, i'm lacking in a lot of things. i'm very sure that i have more to learn from people in the industry – but if there's anything that i can promise you, is that i'll always work hard and learn everything i could. everyday, you'll see a more improved and a better version of heo moon. that, i can promise you," he elaborated, reassuring the interviewer with a smile. it was true, what he said. he just left out something that he is most confident of; his visuals. everyone likes a humble boyfriend, right?

which seniors do you look up to? why?

— "to be honest, there's a lot of artists i look up to – i really like gray, dean, crush, penomeco, the list goes on. i really like r&b and bedroom pop. their style really resonates with me well and i hope i can create music as good as them one day," he said, lengthy. "oh, and i also really like taeyeon sunbaenim. i want to learn how to sing with a lot of emotions like she do. she has my utmost respect. i love you, taeyeon sunbae-nim," he smiled, putting his arm over his head into a heart sign.

where do you see yourself in ten years?

— he hummed, pursing his lips cutely as he thinks. if anything, he knows how to handle a silent part in an interview; just act cute. "to be honest, i don't know." he said, before adding, "and i don't care." this time, he shrugged. honestly, he never really thought about what the future holds for him these days. if you were to ask this question five years ago, he would have answered with being an accountant in gangnam after finishing his degree. 

"if i focus too much on what is going to happen, i'll miss out on what i'm doing right now. during high school, i'm always the type to worry about what will happen in the future and tries my hard to get what i want. turns out, when i get it, it's not even something that i'm crazy about. plus, looking back, i realized that i wasted my time worrying instead of having fun with my friends. so, these days, i don't even worry about the future. i'll just focus on making memories with my paradox boys and the fans," he explained, putting in a little sob story for the viewers to relate.
