at first thought, sera gives off this baddie 'don't-cross-me' vibes; but once you get to talk to her, she is very friendly and welcoming. she's the type of person to come to you with a hug as a greeting and would make you feel comfortable when talking to her. she's that easy-going. it also helps that sera is funny.
while some people are born comedians, sera is the type who really puts in effort to be comical. some might even argue that her efforts make her jokes funny; even when it was not, initially. sera is the kind of girl who would laugh at everything; and would make you laugh at everything. she's the kind of girl who knows how to tease you without going overboard.
this all could change once you work with her though; 100% professional, sera takes working very seriously. she considers herself quite responsible and it is her responsibility to be good at her job. in order to do that, she works very hard to achieve perfection. sera has big ambitions, which she knows she can achieve.
on a more personal level, sera is very good with emotions. she's very observant and she could tell what's going on someone's mind. she can also tell what someone likes; what someone dislikes and what someone needs, based on their body language and her understanding of that person's particular personality. she's very observant and is good at picking up those little details.
this is extremely helpful in her relationships as she can treat different people according to how they like to be treated. if you treat her or her friends badly though, she's not afraid to fight! sera is very brave and opinionated. she is not scared of confrontations and fights. in fact, she embraces confrontations as a way to resolve conflicts instead of beating around the bush.
perhaps, it is the effect of watching too much 'mean girls' but sera has taken the habit of being bossy towards people. she acknowledges the fact that she is; somewhere along the lines, she did try to tone it down. however, there are times (a lot of them) where her bossiness shows, accidentally or intentionally. from casually demanding her dormmates to do chores with her to asking her groupmates to do better in training, sera do irritate those around her at times.
while sera do know that she has flaws, sera will always justify her ways for 'greater good'. sounds like a villain origin story; but that is what sera has in common with villains. her stubbornness. sera is hard-headed and sees giving in as losing. she does not care about what others have to say; life goes on her way.
this might stem from her selfishness. sera does not care about others; aside from herself, her family, her friends and her fans. she's the type of girl to do things that benefit herself the most. in fact, sera keeps a friendship ranking on who she cares about the most to determine who will get her attention the most. if you do something that angers her, she'll put someone else above you on that ranking. miss petty is her middle name.
with that being said, sera is definitely not one to cross – she could be very insensitive. sera is smart; she knows that she has an image to carry. she wouldn't lash out on you like a karen; instead, she would utilize her observant trait to blow where it hurts the most. she's not afraid to offend other people when she feels offended by that particular person.
now, it comes to no shocker that sera could be manipulative. behind the pretty smiles and the beautiful hair flips, lies a girl who knows how to assert herself into situations which would benefit her the most. at times, she might even gaslight others to get what she wants. sera is ambitious; she will always get what she wants.
BACKGROUND
jang sera has a relatively normal childhood. sera was born in incheon, south korea. her father is a lecturer and her mother is a lawyer. naturally, sera was raised to be academically inclined. instead of piano schools, sera was sent to english tutors. instead of playing at the playground, sera reads in the library. that was just how sera was raised – and she did not mind it. she is naturally, a good learner.
however, aside from studying, there are two things that sera loves: fame and fashion. with that in mind, sera naturally gravitates more towards arts – to the dismay of her parents. nonetheless, they did not mind it as she did win a few awards with her said passion.
at first, they thought it was a hobby – but when sera told her parents that she wanted to become a fashion designer, they vehemently disagreed. they told sera that she's too bright for arts; that she needs to get a real job.
as a teenage, sera believed that to be the case. she enrolled into seoul national university, majoring in accountancy in its business school. life was rather mundane afterwards; it's your typical university student life.
it wasn't until she was in her third year of school that she was scouted by star empire after performing at her school's festival. thinking about the glitz and glam that an idol life could offer, she agreed to be a trainee; under the conditions that she would not debut before she graduated her degree and she would not be available to train during days she have classes. star empire agreed; and there she is, a trainee.

trainee life was not hard; but it was not easy as well. sera became a trainee at the late age of 21 years old, which is not something you usually see. while she is a fast learner, juggling two things at once means that you cannot fully enjoy one thing over the other.
she cannot go partying with her university friends. she also cannot hang out with her trainee friends due to her tight university schedule. this left her with a very close circle of friends – in fact, most of the time, she's the 'outsider' of the group. she's always the last one to know about what is happening with her friend's life.
since she's a people's person, this affected her. however, her trainers and friends greatly encourage her to pursue with what she has started. since sera hates losing, she decided to continue on her journey to become an idol before making it into renegade.
being a dancer of the group was not a part of the plan at all. she actually auditioned to become a singer – but after being trained, the trainers told her she has a knack for dancing. while she danced in school performances before, she never thought of dancing professionally or making it her 'thing'. however, sera loves to be the best at something, and after training, she started being close to choreographers and trainers. she even have the chance to learn about choreographing and become the group's choreographer.

evelyn is one of sera's closest friend in star empire. sera likes how evelyn knows what she wants and is straight-forward with it. since both of them are ambitious, they pushed each other to be better and is not afraid to criticize each other's performance. in fact, they often had arguments on their style of performing but at the end of the day, both of them would know that there is nothing personal about it.
unlike evelyn's brothers, sera shows her love towards evelyn by encouraging her to be the best that she could. she would make sure that evelyn stays motivated and keep herself in track. tough love, some might say. of course, they do talk about cute boys and nice restaurants – they vent their problems at times. however, most of the times, their conversation is made of deep conversations about their ambitions and goals. oh, and she likes to call evelyn by her korean name. c:

ezra calls sera "scary noona". well; no one disagrees with him because sera can get quite scary. ezra met sera through evelyn. although they never had any disagreements before, ezra does not have the courage to be playful around sera; especially after he saw another trainee getting scolded by sera for not taking training seriously.
well – sera knows about this. she finds it quite funny; actually. she does not take it too heart. instead, she teases ezra for it. in fact, she calls him 'park daesung'. for example, "park daesung, aren't you going to greet your noona?" knowing how sensitive daesung is, sera actually babies him most of the time. she sees him as a little younger brother while he sees her as the tyrant older sister.

sera treats her bandmates like sisters. she can be quite protective and quite hard on the girls at times; but she just wants the best for the girls, really.

sera and easy love do not have bad blood or anything. in fact, they're pretty much on friendly terms. he's cute and easygoing; but professionally, sera did not like to be called easy love's counterpart. in sera's point of view, easy love is not as talented as her. it's just that the company give them a concept which let his talents shine more.
sera did not like how she was seen as the 'second' choreographer when he's around. there was even times where people credit him for her idea! this definitely strained their relationship. sera couldn't see him as a friend; rather, a competition.

PERSONALITY
if there's anything that perfectly describe ezekial, it would be hardworking. despite being born on a silver platter, ezekial has never took his privilege into granted. since he was young, ezekial has always been ambitious and hardworking. he would do his best in whatever he does to achieve his goals.
ezekial is also very dorky and bubbly. this man is very caring towards those he loves and is very affectionate, as well. he is not shy to express his affection and would be the first person to initiate his way of showing his love to those he treasure.
ezekial, in general, a positive person. he's pretty much a sunshine and is pretty much always smiling. however, when the time needs him to be, he could be very matured and responsible as well.
HISTORY
ezekial and sera knew each other through evelyn. once, during her trainee days, sera once crashed at evelyn's house; in which she met ezekial.
then, she started meeting him more often after going to evelyn's place a few more times. it was only after they got more comfortable with each other that they exchanged numbers and started talking there.
at first, it was just the typical message of "pls remind dahyun to bring her own heels for today's practice" but as time goes by, they started having conversations that centers solely around both of them. it goes from "good luck for this month's evaluation~" to "this meme looks like u".
eventually, they become closer to the point where it becomes so painfully obvious that both of them are into each other. however, they were comfortable with where they stand at the moment. platonic. sera has to focus on her idol life career and ezekial has to focus on his company.
INTERACTIONS
when sera was a trainee, they actually had decent dates. during her free days, he would sometimes take her to cafes or amusement parks. when he misses her, sometimes, he would send her off to her university and grab lunch with her.
however, when she debuted, they mostly talk to each other through texting. at most, sera would just hang out at evelyn's place where they would joke around each other while the others are not looking. ezekial would act all lovey dovey around sera while sera would just laugh him off. he'll tell him that he's cute from time to time though.
basically, their interactions are very cute. you have ezekial who would shower sera with compliment and affection all the time; but blushes when sera returns the compliments and affection to him. and then, you have sera, who cracks stupid jokes all the time, but knows when to listen to ezekial when he has a problem and would be there to support him at his worst.
while there are a lot of sparks between them, they also have a lot of arguments. firstly, both of them are constantly busy; now that sera debuted, and ezekial's company is getting bigger, they do not talk to each other as much. whenever sera calls him after practice at 2am, he will always be too tired to even pick up the call; but he can't call her during practice because she doesn't want to be caught talking with a guy.
secondly, evelyn. ezekial does not agree with how sera pushes evelyn. for ezekial, evelyn shouldn't overdo herself and that she is already trying her best; given how she always give great performance.
sera, on the other hand, believes that she's merely pushing her to do better – which is something that evelyn would want. those great performances he sees are the result of practising a lot. plus, it's not like she forces her to train. if evelyn wants to train more after sera said she's too stiff, it's unfair to say that she's forcing evelyn to train more. plus, it's not just evelyn. the rest of the team practises the same amount as evelyn did too. sera believes that it is something that only idols understand; which ezekial wouldn't.
thirdly, ezekial started to be jealous. while they both are not officially dating, ezekial has expressed his intentions to make things official a few times. however, sera feels that she could not commit herself into a relationship, especially in the early days of her career. while ezekial respects that, he started feeling jealous when he started seeing how friendly she is with other boys, especially renegade b. to him, as long as sera is not officially his girlfriend, he feels threatened by other guys being close to her.
despite their arguments, ezekial and sera always talks things out. usually, they would apologize to each other and ezekial would end up making a bento box for sera the next day as an apology.
ENDING
sera and ezekial have a huge argument involving everything. ezekial called sera 'non-committal' and is 'just trying to play with his heart'. sera was so offended, she called him an 'insensitive prick who doesn't even try to understand others'.
she left ezekial on the spot. she blocked his number and stopped going to evelyn's house. everything seems to look like the end for both of them— and it does not look good. ezekial was frustrated, trapping himself in his room when he's not working while sera started to practise harder to the point where she skips her meals at times.
after a few weeks, ezekiel decided that he couldn't stand being away from her any more; and asked for help from his darling sister, evelyn. evelyn was pretty surprised to hear about ezekial's feelings towards sera. she was pretty mad as well that ezekial and sera kept their relationship a secret from her; but she decided to help anyways.
evelyn faked an emergency in which sera has to come and help her. sera came to help and instead of evelyn, ezekial was there. sera, initially, wanted to leave but ezekial begged for her to stay and listen to his apology. when he apologizes, sera knew he was genuine; that he was really sorry. so, she accepts his apology; on one condition. he has to be her boyfriend <3 he agreed <3 they still keep it a secret from the company though <3 but most of their members know.

COMMENTS i hope you like her <3 there's no part for me to elaborate on this; but basically, sera has very strong thoughts on renegade-b getting more famous than renegade-g. mostly, she blames the company for the neglect they did with the girl unit.
