GUKKIE　before becoming his stage name, gukkie was a simple nickname that everyone called him. his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, literally everyone. jeonguk has a bit of a preference to this nickname as he even introduces himself as gukkie rather than jeonguk half of the time.

DANCING KING　jeonguk is known for his dancing. he's the main dancer of re:vive for a reason. many other idols and fans regard him as such due to his level of skill and talent.

BABY BOY　a nickname created by the ex-leader of re:vive. jeonguk was eighteen when he was added to re:vice, practically a baby at the time. so it was naturally that he was called the baby boy of re:vive. junho still calls him this alongside daeil.

tall and lean, jeonguk hides a lot of compact muscle under his nice clothes that he's worked so hard to maintain. his skin has darkened over the years since he's debut, but it seems to fit his asethetic perfectly.

natural blacks dyed over the many years he's been an idol, currently dyed a silvery charcoal for recent solo promotions.

piercings litter his ears, never wearing the same piercings twice.

jeonguk has a total of three tattoos: the inside of right elbow, left forearm, and left collarbone.

STYLE

jeonguk's style changed the moment he became star. a literal slob became a high fashion prince. he's always wearing the hottest style, whatever's in season. more often than naught, you can find him in half suit attire (suit outfit minus the jacket).

on the run down, you may find him wearing sweats once a while, but he's usually wearing something that counteracts the 'slob' look (like pairing the sweats with timberlands and an expensive, crisp-white button down).

being positive is certainly a staple of jeonguk's being. optimistic as ever, jeonguk shines with positivity and smiles that brighten up a room in a second. he never lets things get him down and is always there to bring happiness to someone sad. it's never a dull moment whenever jeonguk is around as whenever he falls down, he just gets right back up with just a simple smile on his face. going along with his optimism, jeonguk is a very friendly spirit and a social butterfly. he easily gets along with almost everyone he meets and leaves lasting impressions that make people what to be his friend. he honest with people and that's where people see the appeal in him, gathering around to get to know him more. overall, jeonguk is extremely charismatic with his adaptability. put him into any situation and jeonguk will step up, no matter what happens and adapt with the best of his abilities. another charming point of jeonguk is how hardworking he is. he's ambitious, always willing to go the extra mile to get better in a simple skill or to help a fellow friend out.

if there's one thing people know about jeonguk it's that he known to be quite the perfectionist and it usually has to do with himself. even with his great skill and overall great attitude, he always thinks he needs to improve and work on something. he never calls himself perfect and will proceed to work himself until it's close to perfection. another thing known about jeonguk is that since he's the maknae of his respective group, he's never really grown out of his childish ways. he loves the attention he gets from the people around him and once the attention is diverted, he will get upset. sometimes he may even throw a mini-tantrum (something similar to a child going quiet and not responding to anybody) when the attention on him is gone. going along with that, jeonguk is very much possessive, especially when it comes to his close friends and his beloved hyungs. they're his and no one can take their attention and affections away from him (whether he is aware of it or not), tending to pull a friend away from talking to someone he doesn't know with a big smile masking his possessive nature. jeonguk is a spoiled brat as most of his beloved hyungs call him. and it's true. jeonguk gets what he wants pretty much all the damn time. a new watch? yeah, his leader got him it when he expressed he needed a new watch. oh, stomach grumbling? jaewon hyung instantly takes him to the new ramen shop that jeonguk had been dying to go to. it's very hard to say no the maknae of re:vive, just ask his hyungs and close friends. fans have only seen what happens when maknae doesn't get what he wants and it's a sight that fans will agree they never want to see again.

BACKGROUND

there's not much to note about jeonguk as he lived a rather normal childhood. great parents, two older siblings, was doted on as a child, had good grades in school.

but what to know was that dance was always a part of him. parents put him dance lessons as soon as they saw him doing a little shimmy to whatever came on the radio.

he did a multitude of different dance styles, hardly ever sticking to one and just doing his own thing. every time he was a part of a dance recital, his family and friends would be there to shower him with love and adoration and jeonguk soon found another love.

he loved performing for others: to make them happy, sad, etc. even at the tender age of ten, jeonguk already knew what he wanted to do and that was to be an idol.

but it wasn't until years later that he attempted to join a company, under parents' orders.

auditioning wasn't that hard, at least for jeonguk's sake. he went to an open audition for high rise where they asked all the people to dance. jeonguk was the only one that day that got a call back. and the rest is history.

best friends since jeonguk was brought into high rise. the two clicked with their love for dancing and similiar personalities. they've been through thick and thin and they would do anything for each other. when jeonguk was pushed into solo artistry, jeonguk decided that koharu would be his main choreographer. he wouldn't of agreed otherwise.

koharu knows of jeonguk's uality and huge crush on a certain japanese member of the xx. she's usually available for jeonguk to rant about his crush.

the sweet ol manager of re:vive that has been though just the same amount of bull as the boy group. he has been with the group since the beginning and he certainly will be their last. just like jeonguk, he hates to see the once famous group slowly begin to break apart.

hamin, even though fans have dubbed him as re:vive's princely manager, is also known for being ruthless to spoiled and ridiclous fans. as soon as the members are uncomfortable, he's right there pushing handsy fans away.

when jeonguk began promoting solo, high rise gave him a personal manager. at first, jeonguk didn't know why when hamin was perfectly right there, but jeonguk soon came to appreciate melody's presence. a woman who grew up in the states, melody was someone you did not want to mess with, especially on a bad day. she always makes sure jeonguk gets to his schedules on time and protectives from rabid fans and insensitive reporters.

jeonguk surprisingly knew hana much before she came to high rise. how? fans know just how much jeonguk absolutely loves the produce series (despite their...scandals) and hana was his number one pick from the getgo. his trained eyes immediately could sense the talent the young girl possessed and knew she would one day do great things. he was definitely upset when she didn't make it into the final lineup of ioi, but color him surprise when he then saw her in the halls of high rise. he immediately took the opportunity to introduce himself to her (forgetting that he was just a big figure in the idol community, which he always seems to forget still) and gushed to her about her being the one that he furiously voted for at every moment he could. and that was the start of their friendship.

they become quite the chaotic duo, much like when jeonguk and jaewon are together. gukkie is always referencing hana in interviews or variety shows, as one of his many favorite hoobaes.

woong was a trainee that jeonguk hadn't known much of since he was busy with being a new member of re:vive as woong became a trainee under high rise. but after one of his original backup dancers for drip drop had to sit out after a sudden ankle injury and woong easily replaced the dancer. jeonguk, someone who knew each and everyone of his backup dancers, was quick to introduce himself personally to woong and was glad to find out the younger could easily keep up with choreo.

after that, jeonguk would make sure to reach out to woong whenever he wanted a dancing buddy that he knew would be able to keep up with him easily. he definitely enjoys woong presence and talent. he's also not afraid to tell jeonguk when he has done something wrong and jeonguk (even though he cans till be a bit childish about it) likes that about woong. he enjoys seeing woong being his normal self, a dorky less polished trainee that he known to be. he lets him be himself when they are dancing, to let off steam when needed.

국키, GUKKIE　what started out as a cute nickname became his worldwide name. high rise felt like it suited him at the time, wanting to promote him as the fresh, young maknae. even though he's grown over the years, certainly outgrowing the name, but jeonguk continues to keep the name, not wanting to throw away his past with his group.

jaewon was the recent addition after hyunjae's departure. his addition was out of the blue, for both re:vive and himself! but his goofy self seemed to fit right in with the rest of the group.

very much the class clown, it's never a dull moment when jaewon is around. he makes sure to keep a smile on everyone's face everywhere he goes.

jeonguk and jaewon are inseperable, instantly becoming the best of friends within the first few weeks jaewon was added to the group. the troublesome duo (as fans and daeil call them) are known to prank their hyungs nonstop, making it a game to see who can do the most pranks within a day. it's surprising no one has (naturally) gray hair yet because of them.

more often then naught, jeonguk and jaewon have called themselves platonic soulmates (or seoulmates, if they're feeling punny).

hyunjae was an old soul with a rapping tone that certainly didn't match his pretty visuals. he was also known as beau, an up-and-coming underground rapper that high rise snatched up with a real good deal. hyunjae, ultimately being a people pleaser, let high rise guide him into the idol world and debuting in re:vive.

it was okay at first until it wasn't. hyunjae was getting tired of the scatching comments from fans of the hip hop world, even his rapper friends. he was even started to hate his own face.

so beau was the first to go. after finishing up love me right promotions, he canceled his contract with high rise and high-tailed it out of there. none of the members have contact with him cause he never left any information when he left.

fans have noticed that a soundcloud acc has appeared recently with a very familiar voice, though they haven't been able to prove if it's truly hyunjae or not.

hyunjae didn't have much interaction with jeonguk because of their age difference and totally different personalities, but hyunjae's departure still left a huge gaping hole in the maknae's heart.

park junho: the father of re:vive, the old man of the group. junho was called many things, but he didn't care. he loved his miscretants known as re:vive and he wouldn't change them for the world. he has a caring heart with a possessive streak (as why he was known as the reporter chewer as he would chew out reporters for asking insensitive questions to his band members).

his termination with high rise came as a shock to kpop fans cause re:vie had just finished promotions for blood, sweat, and tears. junho promised he would never leave s, no matter what.

but junho had been battling with a strong case of depression cause by the harsh idol setting. he...simply couldn't take it anymore. he wanted to settle down, have kids of his own to protect. re:vive had understood and so they let their leader go.

junho was the one who doted and spoiled the maknae the most. jeonguk would even call junho appa 75% of the time they were together. fans often called them the father-son duo. and even though he totally understood his reasoning for leaving, junho's departure still hurt the younger and it just solidfied his goal in keeping the rest of re:vive together.

junho still keeps contact with the group and is currently married now with a baby on the way.

TRAINEE LIFE

jeonguk was only sixteen when he joined high rise. he was considered a baby amongst most trainees, but because of his explosive talents, many of the other trainees didn't know how to approach him.

but it didn't bother jeonguk that much since he introduced himself to everyone and many trainees just let the boy do his thing. it wasn't like they could get too mad at him, sure he was super talented and taking instructors' attention from them, but jeonguk was so happy and sunshine-y. how could you be mad at that?

even with his skill set, jeonguk trained hard for the first two years. he worked hard to gain interest from the higher ups of the company in hopes of debuting the boy group that he had heard rumors about.

and debut he did. just not in the way he envisioned.

IDOL LIFE

2014 was the year re:vive gained a new member, a new maknae that took the world by storm. gukkie became a hot topic. why did high rise add a new member? but instead of answers, they fell in love with him instead.

quickly becoming a fan favorite to fans, jeonguk loved the attention and it wasn't just the attention from the fans.

jeonguk quickly meshed well the members of re:vive, as if he was an original member after all.

his addition gave re:vive more hype, making the group become more famous than they already were.

but after the departure of two members and the others going through military service, jeonguk's having a hard time dealing with their constant absence. high rise is currently having him promote as a soloist to help keep the most popular member relevant, but jeonguk is certainly crumbling.

if jeonguk was popular in re:vive beforehand, he was now considered a god amongst the kpop world. his songs became instant favorites, many other idols covering them. he is definitely one of high rises' moneymaking artists.

though as much as jeonguk loves performing, he still misses re:vive and never stops mentioned them anywhere he goes. he will stop everything if it means he gets to perform with them once more, will even stop his own solo promotions to promote with re:vive.

because re:vive is where he got his start. re:vive is his everything.
