"Golden" Potion

We've come to the terms of the weather being ers, in a sense of more windy and cold days, with a slight of breeze through your days. We enjoyed breeze, but too often brought you much more than just a cooling weather for your body. If you don't know, I'm referring to as the flu season. November in Japan has begin to cold. On daily basis it can be 15 degrees during the day, and at night, it could drop off to 8 / 9 degrees (like actual 8 degrees) at night, so release the heater and the electric blanket, even kotatsu if you have them!

I'm typing this recipe away, from whilst sipping this "potion", suffering from light-headedness due to lack of sleep, and my "fail' attempt of wearing light layers, to show that I've withstand the cold weather, like finally, almost 3 years after staying in the land of Sakura, which is currently in the state of  "starting to be" cold weather -> autumn, whilst watching Baek Jong Won's Street Food Fighter, which unintentionally forcing me to be more fat because watching him eat is like finding sahara in the dessert. PS : Guys, please start wearing coats, rather than trench coats.. :(

It's my dad's recipe, and whenever me and my sister got cold or flu, even cough, this is the "potion" that he always makes is quite effective. It has become a staple in the household, as the ingredients are easy to hold off and the steps (even for someone who does not cook / rarely cook or claims to be stupid in cooking -> like me), can easily follow these recipe.

I nicknamed this brew, the "Golden Potion"; as the color of this drink, after you made it, is golden, so it is not something that is completely dark like your ex-boyfriend's heart (ouch!). Rather, it is the color of joy (btw not only cold, we are approaching Joyous and Festive season as well! Eeep i'm excited for X'mas..) So, yeah attached is the recipe below, and brew away !

Ingredients :

1 teabag of Camomile Flowers tea (it's better if you have the caffeine-free one)

2 table spoons (tbsp) of Honey

Steps :

1. Brew the chamomile tea for 3-4 mins (if your package says 5-8 mins, you can follow the package). Remove the tea bag afterwards, and set them aside.

2. Pour in 2 tbsp of honey into the tea, and mix away!

There you have it! The "Golden Potion". I feel like this drink should deserve more love. It is more comforting than your eggnogs during this cold weather, especially if you want something that is light and warm.

I'll hopefully see you soon with more stories (especially answering the question of the event that I attend finally, after 6 years and the behind story, maybe if you're curious.. but I still would like to share them..) not now, but maybe later..

Catch with you all soon.. Have a good day!

Love,

- V -
