Fanfic problem, do you have this too?

I'm on a WINNER fic rn, and I had this idea ever since I decided to stop a VIXX fic which held the "base" of my new fic (still not published btw)

And I'm reading a fic, and there are four HUGE similarities, even tho I came up with them by myself, I swear to Block B, guys, it just pure coincidence

1. a party as a beginning

2. kidnapping

3. one of the evil becoming good

and 4 is, well, it's a surprise for the readers later on, so I wouldn't tell now

the author is idk, a friend? idk, she's a friend to me idk, prolly I'm not - but her fic is quite famous too, so i'm afraid I'll be bombarded with hate

but I've planned it all soooo way earlier before reading what she wrote in her fic

also, there's WINNER in her story too, but istg, I didn't take any of her ideas, pure coincidence as said

anybody alrdy experienced this?

I have! Yep. Similarities can't be helped. It's not like it's word for word. Hopefully nobody will be stupid enough to outright accuseyou of plagiarism. I agree with the comment below: your writing style, the mood/tone of your story, the character development are what's going to make your story different.

I never encounter such situations. I think the plot is interesting, and it's okay if there are similarities. Sometimes, we can't come up with our own ideas. It is all about creating the story as your own, by the way you transmit the emotions and character development. In my opinion, that's where things differ. Don't be motivated to write ^^
