Kai
Project X: The Failed ExperimentKai snuck a glance out of the alley, making sure the coast was clear.
Gripping the package he held in his hand tightly, he bolted across the street and continued running between buildings.
He never particularly liked this part of town, but this was the quickest way to get to where he needed to be.
Weaving inbetween buildings, he made his way to the town centre.
But before he could arrive at his destination, he was stopped by a group of people. Seven of them stepped out of the shadows of where they were hiding and surrounded him, blocking any chance for escape.
"Oh ..."
He skidded to a stop, panting for breath.
The man in front of him smiled at him. It was a cold, taunting smile. "Kai, buddy. Long time no see,"
Kai swallowed, his mouth had suddenly turned dry.
"Jake," he greeted.
"And where are you off to at this time of night?"
Kai hesitated, "Home," he responded uncertainly
Of course, none of these details escaped Jake's notice.
"And what's with the package?"
Automatically, he held the package behind his back, as if to hide it from his view.
"Nothing"
A strange glint appeared in his eyes as he eyed what was in Kai's hand.
He held out a hand towards Kai who took an automatic step back.
"Hand it over,"
When Kai made no move to comply, one of the men behind him snached it out of his grasp and tossed it to their leader.
"Hey..." he started but one glare from the guy behind him quieted him down.
Jake was busy tearing apart the wrapping paper to notice. When he uncovered what it was Kai was being over protective over, he sneered.
"Ahh, Kai," he chuckled.
Kai turned his attention back to Jake who was examining his prize, "what do you think your doing with this?"
He waved it around carelessly in the air.
Some of Jakes buddies noticied what it was and laughed mockingly at Kai.
"Give it back," he demande
