Out of Prison
Project X: The Failed ExperimentHe took a deep breath as he walked through the front doors of the building. The air smelled different to him, being out here.
He walked past the fence and waved at the guards. They just stared at him stone faced. He gave them a toothy grin.
Sauntering past them, he made his way to the car parked on the side of the road. The driver rolled down the passenger seat window when he tried to look through. Nodding, he opened the door and got in. They drove away quickly, speeding down the empty road.
"Welcome back Maxie," the driver greeted him as he drove away from the prison
Max bared his teeth a little at the name, "Shut up," he snapped.
The driver chuckled under his breath, "Same old temper, same old Maxie. Prison didn't seem to change you too much," he said before glancing at his passenger's body, "but you do seem to be in better shape than the last time I saw you,"
His passenger growled at his remark causing the driver to smirk a little.
"Still as annoying as ever," he muttered under his breath causing the driver to smile fully.
"Any plans for today? First taste of freedom in 16 years man, how about we stop by McDonald's?" the driver offered, "My treat,"
"Shut up and just take me to the lab," his passenger replied curtly staring straight ahead.
The driver muttered something about being an under his breath but didn't argue. Instead he stepped on the gas and sped away.

They sat in silence for a while, as they put distance between them and the prison.
