Once upon a time... No.

One rainy day... No.

One sunny day...

Not even close.

Let us just say there had been a boy, and a girl, and both of them wanted to rip each other's throats out every waking minute of their existance. It was almost very funny to watch. They were not polar opposties, but rather they were two peas in the same pod. What she liked, he loved. What she loved, he believed in.

The girl was all starry-eyed, one of a kind. She liked to think eyes were the windows the soul, and stars were more than just big hot ball of flaming gases suspended in space. The boy liked to believe in that too. 

They would cross paths every month, just once if they're lucky, but never a month passed by without them somehow running into each other. They're always up in each other's business, always a role in whatever shenanigans they got themselves into. 

One time, the boy got in trouble with a police officer and the girl just happened to be there with him because they were both meeting their friends (they were in the same circle) and so he had pulled her by the arm and they ran through the streets of the city  and he had been laughing, and she shouting, until they finally lost the police officer.

She tells him to grow up before she pivots the other way and back to the restaurant they're friends were at. He silently walks behind him, hair wild and windswept and heart still beating like the drums on a rock concert. She had looked back once, and she had seen him smiling at the ground. 

He had always been weird in the head, she had thought. 

He moved in, three months later. Him and his sister, at the apartment across from her's. Now, she was friends with his sister but just not him. She watched him carry boxes up and down the elevator and towards their new home. She just watched, and his sister was asleep on her couch. Passed out from all the sweets she gave. 

He grumbles and groans and gives her these stares. She laughed, just once, before closing the door shut in his face. Later when his sister is awake, she opens the door again and watch
