Yuri's Pov

After the light stopped, something was weird about this.

"Hey, Yul, are you okay??" Taeng asked

"Yea.. Ah, Taeng, you look like yourself in the real world." I said as she was shocked

"You too." She said as I lfted up the mirror and saw my real self

"How??" 

"The scan.. The nerve gear covers your entire face with its high density sensor. Thats how it knows what your face looks like in the real world, but what about out height and body size??" I asked

"When we first used the nerve gear, we ad to calibrate it, remember? You had to touch your body all over."

"R-Right. Maybe thats how it got the data."

"But. Seriously. Why is this happening??"

"He's probably gonna tell us now." I said 

"All of you must be wndering how and why. How and why would I, kayaba Akihiko, the creator of SAO and the nerve gear would do all of this? All og my goals have been achieved. The reason why I createmy own world, so that I could observe and admire. That is why I made SAO." He said

"Why you.. Kayaba.." I muttered

"Now that its all been fulfilled, this is the end of the tutorial for the oficical Sword Art Online launch. I would like to wish the best of luck to all the players." With that he disappeared and the sky went to red to yellow and orange-ish.

This is reality now. Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of the nerve gear and the virtual enviroment. I admired him, so I understand everything. What he is saying is the truth. If I die in this world, I'll die in the real world too.

Everyone then was starting to have a mix of feelings of scared, afriad, mad and etc. I then saw the force field disappeare and so I called out to taeng

"Taeng, follow me." I said as she nodded

We went into an alley and talked

"Im heading to the next village. Do you want to come with me??" I asked her

"What?"

"If everything he said is true, then we must train ourselves as much as possible in order to survive in this world." I said opening a map to show her

"The resources within a virtual MMORPG, the money and EXP we can earn are limited. The fields surrounding the Town of Beginnings will soon be cleaned and cleared. For our sake we should head to the next village and set up camp there to sleep. I know the way there and all the dangerous areas over there. We can get there safely there even if we're level 1." I said

"But.. you know Yul.. I meet some friends here and they probably need me to help them. Their probably somewhere in the plaza and I need to help them." She said

I then looked at my level and then thought about something.

If it were just Taeng...but two more... no... maybe even one more..

"Sorry." She said as I looked up at her

"I'll probably have to stay and help out my new friends since you help me out today. So dont worry about me and just to to the next village. I'll be right behind you."

"Ok. Then message me if you need anything." I said

"Yea. I will. I'll message you if I wanna join you next time." She said as I nodded

"Ok. See you later then." I said

"Wait!" She said as I stopped walking and looked back

"Stay alive okay. Someday, I'll have to duel with you!" She said 

"Ok." I said as I ran but then stopped and looked back as I saw no Taeng.

I then begin to ran into the field and train all the way to level myself up

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

A month had passed since the game has begun and its December 2, 2022. During the passed month, a 1000 people had died. But, however, no one has yet been able to clear the first floor. I was even a beta tester and even I cant find the boss room. I looked everywhere. But today, we're finally holding a meeting. I went to the coloseum to attend to the meeting.

"Okay everyone, this meeting is starting so listen up." The man said as he got everyone's attention and I sat down to listen

"First off, thanks for coming today, it means alot to me. My name is Daeil, the knight." He said as everyone laughed and then it died down

"Today, our party found the boss room at the top of the tower." He said everyone was muttering.

"We need to defeat the boss to reach to the second floor, so tell everyone to wait in the Town of Beginnings if they can help us out." He said as everyone is clapping

"Now, lets begin to plan out. First divide yourselves into parties of 6." He said as I was shocked.

I looked around and saw everyone grouping up.. 

"An original party has no chance of defeating the boss floor. We'll need to form as many party to defeat it."

!! what to do! What to do!! 

Then I saw someone alone with a brown cape and had the hood over his/her head on my left. I scoot closer to them and said

"Hey... Did you get left out??" I asked that person

"No. I didnt because it seems everyone know each other already." 

Sounds like a girl.

"So a solo player... Then do you want to be in my party?? Because he said we cant beat the boss on our own, so just for this fight okay??" I said as she nodded

I slide my finger down which the main menu slide down too and pressed the button which had party name after it and then waited for that her to accept. She accepted and then it was settled. I finally did it, even though, I didnt want to be in a party, but I have too, since it's "require" to. But oh well. I then looked at her name and then back to Daeil.

"Are you guys finished partying up? Then let----"

"Hold on just a second!" A guy said from the back.

He jump down the seats and then finally was beside Daeil and said

"My name is Kon. I just wanna say something before we defeat the boss." He said as I was paying attention to him

"Some people here needs to apologize to those 2000 people who died!" He said as he pointed at all of u

"Kon-ssi,Are you talking about the beta testers?" Daeil asked

"Yes! Once this stupid game had started, the beta guys have ditched all the beginners and disappeared as well. Also took all the hunting spots and easy quest for themselves, so they can level up to become stronger than us beginners and ignore us." He said 

"I know some of you are beta testers. They should get on their knees and apologize and give all the items and money to us beginners! Otherwise, we cant trust them to protect us as party members at all! neither will they!" He said as he finished

"May I speak?" A guy from the stands asked as I looked at him.

He had red short hair, with a gray chest gear and gray clothes underneath it. He stood up and walked towards him and said

"My name is Chan. Kon-ssi, tell me if Im right, you want all the beta testers to take care of themselves when many beginners died and that they should take responsility and apologize to them, am I correct??" He asked

"O-o-of course!" Kon said as Chan was getting something out of his bag

"You know the guild book right?? Its always been provided in the item store for free." Chan said

"I-I know... Why??" He asked

"This guild book had all the information given by the beta testers." He said as everyone was shocked

"Listen up!" Chan said

"Everyone here has access to get this information from inside this guild book, but still many died because they probably didnt read this. I thought I should tell everyone about this guild book here because we could also learn from their deaths ad help us defeat the boss."  Chan said as I let out a sigh.

Then they both sat down.

"Alright, lets resume to our meeting. The last update of that guild book was just been an issue, and contains all the information on the boss." Daeil said as everyone was shocked

"According to the book, the boss name is Illfang the Kobold Lord. He is guarded by assistants known as Ruin Kobold Sentinels. His weapons are an axe and a buckler. He has four health bars and when the last one enters as red, he switched his weapon to a curved sword-type weapon called a Talwar. Also his attack pattern changes." He said as everyone was surprised

Then Daeil closed the book and said

"This is the last thing I want to tell you guys, items will be automatically distributed. EXP goes to the party that defeats the boss and also receives a dropped item from the boss. Any questions??" He asked as no one answered

"Ok. We will leave tomorrow at 10 in the morning. Please be ready to go. Get as much potions and other stuff you need." He said as the meeting was down and that girl stood up and left

 I walked back to the Town of Beginners alone and saw that same girl from the meeting eating alone.... Looks like she struggling with that bread. I then went up to her and said

"It's tasty, isn't it? Can I sit next to you??" I asked as she nodded.

I sat down next to her and then she scoot a little bit away from me. I took out my bread.

"Do you think this is good??" She asked

"Yea. I been eating this bread at least one daily, since I came to this town, but Im changing this up a little." I said as I slide down the main menu and took something out of my bag.

"Changing??" She asked

the jar appeared beside me and I said

"Here put some on your bread." I said as she tap the cap and a blue light was around her finger.

She then put it on her bread and said

"Cream?"

Then I put some on my bread as the jar broke as there's no more and start eating my bread. I saw her took a bit out of the bread and then ate up the whole thing bit by bit.

"It was request called The Heifer Strikes Back, that one village behind us. If you want, I'll show a trick I heard about." I said as she shook her head

"I didnt come to this town to eat good food." She said

"Then, why did you come here?" I asked

"So I can be me. I'd rather stay myself till the very end than to sit and rot away at the inn. Even if I get killed by a monster or something, I dont want to lose to this game at all. No matter what." She said as I took a bite of my bread

"I wouldn't want my party member dying on me when we're on the battle field, so tomorrow at least dont die." I said

The next morning (December 3, 2022), I woke up at 9 and waited at the Town of Beginning. I lean against the wall until the time hit to 10. As it was 10am, everyone started to gather around and then Daeil finally came as that girl was right beside me.

"Okay! Is everyone here??" He asked as everyone nodded

"Let's go then." He said as we all went to the woods.

Me and that girl was in the back while everyone was in front of us.

"So let's go over the plan again." I said to her

"We leftovers are targeting the boss's helpers, the Ruin Kobold Sentinels." I said

"I know." She said

"I'll use my sword skills to knock their pole axes up, then second we switch in." 

"Switch?"

"Wha-... Is this your first time beening in a party??" I asked as she nodded and then I was shocked and stopped walking

We then finally got to the top floor where the boos is and was standing in front of the boss door.

"Alright! Listen up!" Daeil said

"I have one thing to say before we go in. Lets win this!" He said as we all nodded

"Lets go!" He said as he opened the door

We all walked in slowly and then, the floor turn into a colorful room as the boss was in the air and was in front of us and roared. Three of the boss's helper appeared and then charged at us.

"Commence Attack!" Daeil said as he pointed his sword at then as we all charge at the boss and his helper. 

We started to fight the helpers as squad A and C were fighting the boss

"Squad A and C! Switch!" Daeil said

"Here it comes!! Squad B! Block it!" He said as Squad B blocked the boss's attack

"Squad C, keep guarding and prepare to switch with Squad B!"

"Switch! Draw and prepare to attack from the sides!" He said

"Squad D, E and F! Keep the helps away from us!" He said as we nodded

"Okay." I said as I charged at the lizard solider

Our swords clashed together and then I pushed him away and said

"Switch!" 

"Number 3!" She said as she charge to the lizard solider at full speed

I thought she was a beginner, but she's incredible and fast, Even I cant even follow her blade.

She then hit the lizard solider in the stomach and then disappear into tiny crystals. I then block the attack from a another lizard solider from thin air and then charged at it, but then the boss roared as I looked back, it's life points are red. Then the boss threw its axe and buckler away.

"Looks like the information is right.." Kon said

"Stand back." Daeil said

"I got this." He said as he charge at the boss.

They were supposed to surround the boss with the entire group.

I then saw Daeil looked at me and then back at the boss. He was going to attack as I saw the boss took out his new sword

That isn't a Talwar! It's No-Dachi! This isn't the same as the beta test! 

I said as I blocked and then pushed away the lizard soldier's sword.

"NO! Jump back as fast as you can!" I shouted as Kon heard me

Daeil then was going to attack as the boss jumped up to the pillar to another pillar and so on. then the boss hit Daeil in the stomach.

"AHHHH!!" He screamed the fell from the sky to the ground

"Daeil!!" Kon shouted as the boss was in front of them and roared at them

I went to Daeil as his HP was going red

"Why did you do that?? You could have jump away." I said as I tried to get him a life potion, but he stopped my hand

"You were one of the beta tester right??" He asked

"Then you know what I was trying to do." He said as I was shocked

"You were trying to get the bonus rare item with the last attack on the boss. So you were a beta tester too??" I asked as he smiled

"Please.... defeat the boss... For everyone..." He said as he went into tiny crystals as I was sad

When this game started, the one thing I thought was to survive. But you, Daeil, you were one of the beta tester and you would never abandoned the other players. You led everyone and fought bravely. You tired to do what I couldn't do. I then stood up and looked at the boss as it roared to the others and the she was right beside me

"I'm coming too." She said

"Thanks." I said as we both charge towards the boss

"We'll do it just like the lizard helpers." I said

"Got it." She said as the boss saw us coming and was going to attack and I was too.

We clashed our attack together and pushed away which the boss was unbalance 

"Switch!!" I shouted as she then was going to attack but then the boss was going to attack her too

"JESSICA!!" I shouted as she dodge the attack but her cape was cut off from her

As the cape disappeared, the tiny crystal made her stunning as she was still charging at the boss and the attack the boss with her sword skill. She had brown hair (like the photo below) White clothes with red skirt (which she doesnt have on the photo) and with a small chest gear on her right (And not on the photo either lol, but she's like Asuna)

As I was on the floor, I saw the boss getting up and going to attack us

"He's coming back." I said as I stood up and charged at him

We swords clashed again and then Jessica hit him as we switched. He was coming back with another attack to Jessica, but I stopped it from killing her. I was going to use my sword skill to kill it, but the boss uses his sword skill to cut my stomach so quick.

"!" I said as I then was pushed away and hit Jessica
