Yuri's Pov

Im sitting down on my seat and was watching the BIG news about the new game that came out. Sword Art Online. I got this game from my Appa since he said he would buy me one in just a snap. I already know how the game looks like with a help of my best friend, Kim Taeyeon. I then put on my nervegear and lied down on my bed and then said

"Link start." With that, SAO has started.

I logged in and I saw a bush in the middle, long bushes on both right and left with pillars beside the long bushes. I blinked a couple times. I looked at my shoes tat were brown, and my hands were wearing brown gloves. My character has black hair and was wearing a blue sweater with a chest gear and my pants were dark brown and then said

"Im finally here to the other side." [ Meaning the game world ] 

I saw a lot of people who just logged on and I then begin to run as the town were crowded by many people. Then I stopped in an alley as I heard a familiar voice calling me. I turned around and saw a red hair and was wearing tan sweater with a chest gear and pants were brown. I looked up to see their face and she had a smile on her face.

"Hey Yul!!" Taeng called as she was now in front of me

"Oh hey Taeng." I said

"Well, blackpearl, where do you think your going??" She asked

"Just looking around, Taengoo ." I said as she nodded

"I see, can you show me how to fight?? I still kinda new at this." She said as I shook my head.

"Ok. Lets go." I said as we were out to the open field where there's enemies there.

"AHHHH!!" She yelled as I then sigh

"Come on, really?? Its not even feel any pain when your in here." I said

"Oh... right." She said as she got up.

"You really are a beginner." I said as she pouted

"YAH!! You just got the game first before me ok? I had to wait for my paycheck." She said as I nodded

"Ok. Whatever you say and plus I already told you that your initial motion input in important when fighting an enemy." I said as I saw her life bar go yellow.

"I know but it keeps moving. How am I supposed to fight it??" She asked

"If you start the motion correctly and activate a sword skill." I said as I picked up a rock and aim carefully at the boar as the rock had a red light around it. 

I threw the rock which made it go faster and it hit the boar's . 

"The game system will ensure you that the techniques will connect." 

"Motion.... Motion??" She muttered as I sigh

"How can I explain this clearly??" I muttered as the boar charged at me, but then I dodge it and it came back which then impact its head to my sword

"Just try to build up the attack for a little bit." I said "Then, when you fell like the skill starts to activate, let it explode." I continued

"Explode?" She said as she then went into her battle stand as she felt her skill starting to activate.

I then push and kick the boar to charge at her as I saw her sword glowing. She then attack the boar which made a big scratch and the enemy died/turn into crystal.

"I did it!!" She said as she jumps up and down and also got her points and money

"Good job." I said as I high five with her.

"However... that boar would be equivalent to, say, slimes in other games." I said as she nodded

"I know.. Its just their for beginners." She said as I nodded. 

I then saw more boars appearing on the field as Taeng then started to practice her skill.

"Addictive, isn't it?" I asked as she nodded

"Yea, maybe if I practice more on my skill, I'll probably get other skills, like blacksmithing and stuff right??" She asked

"Yea. I heard there was an unlimited numbers of skills, so in other words, there's no magic."

"A RPG without magic??" She then scoffed

"That's such a bold decision." She said

"Isn't move fun to actually move your body while fighting??" I asked her as she nodded

"Yea." She said smiling as I nodded and smiled back

"Okay. Lets go to the next one." I said as she nodded

"Yea. Lets go!!"

The sun then was setting down and you can see some rainbows by waterfalls and birds are flying in the air.

"No matter how much I look around in this game, I still cant believe we're still here." She said as she was sitting on the grass while I was standing

"The guy who made this is a genius. Its soo amazing. Im glad I was born in this era." She said 

"You make it sound so big of a deal." I said

"Of course! Its my third time coming here and I didnt know how to fight." She said 

"Oh really?"

"But Im lucky to get one of the ten thousand first press copies before its sold out." She said 

"But hey, you got into the beta test, didnt you? Which makes you ten times luckier." She said as I looked at her

"Only a thousand people had that chance."

"I suppose so." I said as I was scratching my head

"So how far did you make it in the beta test??" She asked

"Managed to et to the 8th floor within 2 months." I said "But 1 month should have been more than enough this time though." I continued

"You REALLY are into this game aren't you?" She asked

"Yea, you can say that, but truth to be told, during the beta testing period, this game was all I thought about day and night." I said as I look at my blade and continue on. "Because you can go anywhere you want in this world with on single blade. It may be a virtual world, but I feel more alive here than I do in the real world. So you want to hunt some more??" I asked

"Yea, I loved to, but Im starving. Im logging out." She said as her tummy growled

"But eating food in this world only tricks you into thinking you're not hungry." I said

"Yea, but I already ordered some hot pizza, so it should arrive at 5:30pm." She said

"Oh?? So your well-prepared." I said as she nodded

"Of course.I'll log off and log on after Im done eating." She said as I nodded

"Okay." I said

"So when I log on, I'll be meeting up later with some people that I go to know from another game, do you want to friend them??" She asked as I shook my head

"I dont really friend people here except you, Taeng." I said

"Its okay if you dont want to, but Im intro then to you another time." She said

"Ok. That's fine. Thanks." I said

"No, its me who should be thankful. I'll repay you for all this sometimes." She said as she patted my shoulder

"Yea." 

"Thank for helping me Yul. I'll see you later." She said

"See ya." I said as I heard her say

"What?? There's no log out button." 

"Look closer." I said

"I did, but I still cant find it." She said

"Its at the bottom of the main menu." I said as I opened mine, but found it empty.

"What?? Its should be right there." I muttered

"See? Its not there." She said as I nodded

"No, it isn't." I said

"Well today is the first of the beta, so there's probably some bugs." She said

"Im sure people here are freaking out." 

"You'll freak out in a bit too."She said

"It's 5:25pm right now." 

"NOOOO!!!! MY PIZZA!!!" She shouted

"Just give a call to the game master.. Hurry up." She said

"I already tried that, but nothing's happening." 

"Is there any other way to log out." She asked

"No. All players have to go trough the menu to log themselves out." 

"Are you serious?? There should be some way out of here." She said

"Return!! Log out!!" She shouted as nothing happened

"I told you. There's no emergency log out method in the manual either." I said as the clouds cover the sun and different kinds of moons are appearing

"Wait... Your kidding right??" She asked as I shook my head

"Maybe I can remove the nerve gear off of my head!!" She said

"You cant, we cant even move our bodies in the real world. The nerve gear intercepts every single you brain sends to you body right here in the game." I said

"Really?? So you mean we have to wait until they fix the bug??"

"Or someone in the real world remove the nerve gear from our heads." I said

"Well, I live by myself, you know, and I know you live with Yoona and your mom right??" She asked

"Yea.. They'll probably notice by dinnertime." I said as she nodded

"Well, dont you see this weird?? I sure do. I think its a bug."

"It looks like its more than a bug.The inability to log out will have serious repercussions to the game's future." I said

"You know, you have a point there, now that you mention it." 

"They could have just shut down the server and log everyone in a situations like this, but nothing has been announced, not even one." I said

Then the city bell ring which scare us both and then the sun finally came out. Everyone were forced teleport to the spawn point. Then something appeared in front of us. It was the Game Master

"Is that the game master??" One asked

"Why doesnt he have a face??" Another person asked

"It this some kind of a event??" Another person asked again

Some were scared, some were focus on the game master and some thought this is some ceremony, which I dot think so.

"Players, welcome to my world." Game Master said

"My world?? What does he mean?" I asked myself

"Im Kayaba Akihiko. I am currently the only person who can control this world." He said as I then notice that I read about him before

"Is that really him??" A person asked

"He must've spent a lot of time onto this game." Another said

"I trust that you have already noticed the log out button is missing from the main menu. However, this is not a game malfunction. I repeat. This is not a game malfunction, but the original feature of Sword Art Online." He continues on

"A-A feature??" I heard Taeng said

"You cannot log out of SAO on you own. No one on the outside world will be able to shut down or remove the nerve gear. This should be attempted. the transmitter inside the nerve gear will emit powerful burst of microwave radiation, destroying you brain and this will end your life." He said as there were mutters starting

"What is he talking about?? He must be crazy, right Yul??" Taeng said

"He's right, the transceiver's microwave signals are just like those in the microwave oven. If the limiter were disabled, it could fry our brains." I said

"Why cant we cut the powers, then?" She asked

"No. The nerve gear has an internal battery." I said as I remember it

"This is starting to get messed up. What's going on??" She said

"Unfortunately, the friends and family members of several players have ignored this warning and attempted to remove the nerve gear. As a result, 213 players have permanently retired both Aincrad and the real world." Kayaba said

"213 players??" I said

"I cant believe this! I dont believe this at all!!" Taeng said

"As you can see, new organizations across the world are reporting on this incident and the many deaths. This, you can now assume the danger f having you nerve gear removed to be greatly reduced." He said as he showed all of us the news and the people who died.

"So please relax and work hard to clear the game." He finished as I was shocked

"Clear the game?"

"However,do take a note of this. You can no longer respawn in this game anymore. Once you HP reaches to zero, you avatar will be permanently erased. At the same time, the nerve gear will destroy you brain." He said as Im having flashbacks of my respawns [ the kills from the enemies ]

"You need only fulfill one condition to set yourselves free----- clear the game. You are currently on the 1st floor, the lowest floor of Aincrad. Make you way through each dungeon and defeat the floor boss and you will advance to the next level. Defeat the final boss on the 100th floor and you will clear the game." He said

"Clear??" A person asked

"What does he mean??" Another person asked

"Clear a 100 floors?? That's impossible.The beta testers never made it anywhere near that far!" Taeng said

"And finally, you can find a gift from me in you item storage. Please check it yourselves." He said as everyone looked in there storage.

"A mirror." I clicked on it and a mirror appeared, then people started to glow as something changed.

"Taeng!!" 

I then was shocked as I was glowing too. After everyone glows, it stopped.
