Yuri's Pov

I sat in the small living room as I waited. I hear something as I turned and saw her changed her clothes, which looks cute on her.
"Are you gonna change your clothes and come inside the kitchen or what?" She asked as I was speechless and just nodded
As she went into the kitchen, I change into my comfortable clothes as I then join her in the kitchen.
"How do you want me to cook this?" She asked
"Chief's pick on what to cook." I said
"Hm... Let's fry it then."She said as she had her pots and ingredients and started to make
After a little bit of her cooking, we had to wait for it. She got the dishes set as everything was ready as the oven 'ding' as it was now ready. We sat down and begin to eat. After 30 minutes of devouring the food that she made, every food was gone.. It was quiet cause we were drinking tea.
"I've been here for 2 years and this is my first time making an S-class ingredient, but im glad i survived this long." Sica said
"Yea.. Same." I said
"Its been so long, it feels like I was born and raised here."
"You know, I cant even remember what Seoul looks like anymore since we been in here for so long, but it isnt just me. Other people want to clear all the floors as they give it their best." I said
"And a few people is fighting it the front lines. Everyone has been busy clearing the game instead of having fun in the real world, but i want to go back too as well because there's alot of things I havent had a chance." She said as she smiled at me
"Yea. Lets do our best then." I said as I smiled back and drink my tea
"H-hey.. stop." Sica said
"Huh?" I said as I was confused
"People have been asking me out with the same expression that you did."
"Um...I-" I said as I was surprised
"When you look like that, it looks like you cant get any closer to other girls or boys... Am I right?" She asked
"I dont care.. Im a solo player anyways." I said as I drank all of my tea.
"But.. Why dont you join a guild, Yul?"
"Um..."
"I heard that beta player dont fit in with guilds, but on the 70th floor, more and more monsters become stronger and meanier than other floors, so there's things that solo players cant handle."
"Its fine. I'll fine a way to defeat stronger opponents." I said as I took a sip of my tea
"No. Dont! You'll get yourself killed." She said
"Plus, no one wants me to be in their guild. Its like they want me in their guild, but not help them with dungeons." I said
"Oh really?" She said as I was shocked that she was pointing a knife at me
"O-O-O-Ok.. I get it.. Except for you, Jessica." I said
"Ok." She said as she puts it down
"Then you party with me. Its been a long time since we've partied." She added
"What! But what about your guild??" I asked
"We dont have any quest for leveling up by ourselves, we do it in a party." She said
"Bu-But! What about your little guard man?" I asked
"I'll just leave him." She said as I was frustrated and was going to drink my tea as there was no more
She picked up the tea pot as I gave her my tea cup and she went and fill my cup with tea. She passed it over as she went into her menu and clicked on party button
The screen came up as I took a sip of my tea.
"Front lines are really dangerou-"
She then was going to stab me with the same knife as I was shocked
"O-o-o-ok..Yo-yo-you win." I said as I gave in and pressed the accept party button

"Well, thanks for the meal." She said
"You, too. I should ask you to cook for me often." I said
"If you're that skilled, you can make good stuff with normal ingredients." She said
"Yea, but i dont feel like cooking." I said as we both looked at the tree
"In this world, did Akihiko wanted to make a world like this??"

The next morning, it was october 10, 2024, I was at floor 74 named Kamdet and waited for Jessica to come. I yawned as someone then scream. The person then fell on top of me as I was on the ground
"Ow ow ow.. Huh?? What is this??" I asked as something was squishy
"Kyaaaaaa!!"  She screamed as she hit me and a slid across the ground
"Ow ow ow ow." I said as I painfully and slowly turned around as she was mad and blushing as she was covering herself
"Ah... G-Good morning Jessica." I nervously said as she got angry again and then ran behind me as a portal was opening
"What?"
"Jessica, you shouldnt act like this. Lets go back to headquarters." Her little guard said
"No!" She said
"With you standing in front of my house so early in morning. NO WAY!" She said
"Cause I knew something like this would happen because I've been observing you in Selmburg."
"That was no orders from the leader!" She said
"My only mission is to guard you and that includes your home."
"NO!! THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS YOU DUMMY!!" She shouted
"You need to stop this silliness and come back to headquarters." He said as he grab her wrist, but then I grab his wrist and said
"She doesnt want to go with you!"
He then was shocked and let go of her
"So I'll be responsible for her security since we arent facing no boss today, so you can go back to your headquarters yourself." I said
"Shut up! A low-level player like you can never protect her! Im a member of the knights of the Blood Oath." He shouted
"I can probably do better job than you can think. So go away and leave her alone." I said as he got angry
"If you think you can protect her, then prove it with a duel!" He said as he went to his menu and clicked on the duel button
"Duel accepted." I said as I clicked the accept duel button
"Yul, you dont have to do this." She said
"Its ok. I'll win." I said
"Ok.. Later on, I'll speak to the guild leader." She said as I nodded
"Watch carefully Jessica-ssi, I'll prove that I can protect you." He said as the time was ticking and I took out my sword as Jessica backed up
"The black swordsman solo player and a member of the KBO are dueling right now." Audience said
"I wonder who will win." Another audience asked
"Of course it will be the black swordsman." Another said
We both went into out battle positions as the duel started. He came towards me first as I went towards him. He was about to attack me from above as I was going to attack from below. He thought he was going to hit me, but I blocked his attack as his sword was now in half. He went on his knees as I stood up calmly as other people was shocked including Jessica
"Well, if you want to try again, Im ok with it, but this is enough to prove to you right?" I asked as he got even madder
He took out another sword as he was charging at me. I was ready to block as Jessica blocked for me and knocked his sword off of his hand and everyone was shocked
"Jessica-ssi?"
"Thats enough. Go back to headquarters."
"But-"
"As the Vice Commander of the KBO, you are now done with your mission. You will stay at the headquarters until farther ado. Thats all." She said as he was angry and left as everyone went back to what they were doing
"Sorry for getting you involved like that." She said
"Its fine, but are you okay?" I asked
"Yea. Im fine."
"I think the reason why I have problems with the guild is because I focus too much on clearing the floors than relaxing like everyone else."
"Well if you havent been, we never be nearly as far as we have now." I said as she looked at me
"I just messed things around as a solo player, so I dont have the right to judge you, but still, if you decide to take a day off to party with a beater like me, I just dont think people should complain others like that." I said as she smiled
"Well sure, but thanks anyways. I'll take your offer and take a day off today, so you can play it forward." She said as she puts away her sword and pat on my shoulder as she walked away
"Wha- Hey.. Wait a minute!! We should take turned being forwards!!" I shouted as I followed her
"I'll do it tomorrow!!" She said
"WHAT!! NO WAY!!" I shouted!!

We went into floor 74 dungeon as we were taking turns being forwards. I watched her from aside as she was hitting the skeletonn warrior by herself.
"having someone good coming along with me, makes things a it faster." I said
"Yul! Switch!" She said as I nodded
"Ok!" I said as she attack the warrior, but it blocked her attack. I then jump above as it was wide open. I attack as it turned into crystals. We walked and walked as the map says as Jessica said
"Yul.. look."  I looked up and saw the big door, that must be the boss room
We were in front of the door as we just stood there
"Isnt this-"
Yea." I said
"The boss room." I added
"What should we do? Can we take a look?" She asked
"Boss monsters never leave their rooms unguarded. If we opened the door, we should be fine." I said
"O-o-ok." She said
"Well.. Im going to open it, so get your teleport crystal ready, just in case." I said as she nodded
I pushed the door opened as we take a small peek and saw a blue bull with a blue blue with red eyes as there was a snake behind it, which I think its the tail and the horns and armor were gold as its health points were 4 bars and the name was called "The Gleam Eyes". We were both speechless as then roared and we ran for our lives.

We were huffing and puffing as we ran a bit far away from the boss room. We sat on the ground to take a break
"That was scary." She said
"Yea. All I saw was the blus sword. It probably has special attacks."
"We'll have the tanks in the front as those in the back should keep switching." She said
"Yea.. Maybe about 8 shield users." I said
"Shield users?" She asked
"What?" I asked
"It makes no sense that you said there should be 8 shield users and I never seen you use one before. I dont use one beaucse it'll slow me down. It's pretty mysterious." She said as I was looking away.
"Oh well. We should eat, before we plan out our attack on this boss floor." She said
"D-Did you make it yourself?" I asked
"Yea. Dont you ever make food when you go in dungeons?" She asked
"No. I dont make food when Im going into a dungeon."
"Well, you should. You might want some after you are done with the floor."
"Its fine.. With you making these food, you could sell them and be rich by then."
"Really?" She asked
"Oh wait... Thats bad."
"What?"
"If you sell, I wont be able to have any." I said as she sighed 
"Your so selfish when it comes to food.
"Hey.. What can I say? Your food is good." I said
"Yul." She said as she saw people coming in from the portal
"Oh? Yul!"
"Taeng?"
"You know them?" Jessica asked
"Friend of mine." I said
"Its been so long Yul. Wait... I thought you were a solo? Why is there a girl with you?" Taeng asked
"Taeng, this is Jessica from KBO and Jessica with is my midget friend from the real world, Taeyeon." I said
"Nice to meet you." Jessica said as Taeng was just standing there.
"Hey... Taeng?? Are you lagging?" I asked 
"H-hi! Im K-Im T-Taeyeon! Im looking fo-" 
She then got punched by one of her crew as she drags her back
"Sorry for that. Our leader does that sometimes. Haha Im Sooyoung. Im a friend of Taeyeon. Thats Yoona who's dragging Taeyeon over there and the other two is Hyoyeon and her girlfriend Nicole. Nice to meet you two by the way. Taeyeon is just finding a girlfriend cause all the girls she asked out, rejected her.. I just wish someday she'll find one." Sooyoung said
"Haha Someday." I said
"Sorry about that.. I Just wanted- well, you know.. a person I want to- yea whatever.. Anyaways, what are you guys doing here??" Taeng asked
"I'm partying with Yul for a couple of days." Jessica said
"Ohhh... And I thought Yul go solo, but with a girl.. ooh." 
"Shut up midget." I said
"Haha." 
"Yul.." Jessica said as there was an army coming through the portal.
"Isnt that- The Heavy Black Army that clears out the first floors?" Taeng asked
"I heard that they use shields and heavy armor to battle. Plus I heard that they had heavy damage on floor 36." Jessica said
"Take 5!" A person said as the army fell to the ground as they were tired
"Hi.. I am the leader of this party. My name is Chris. Do you have the map to get to the boss room?" He asked
"Yea, but I dont think your 'army' is ready to fight the next boss. Its huge and its strong when I looked in the room. Your army is tired. Don't risk people out there." I said
"I know how the boss strength is.. Every boss has the same strength and health.. This Army will take care of it." He said as he took the map
"Lets move!" He said as the army was too tired, but had to move.
"You'll get yourselves killed!!" Jessica shouted
"Come on. We have to help." I said
"But you said its hard to attack it." Taeng said
"I know, but if they go in there, there's no turning back." I said as someone screamed
"Hurry!" I said as I ran towards the boss room as the door was wide open.
The men were battling, but got pushed back. Every one that was in there was scared and
"Hurry up and get out of there!!" I shouted as he was running while the boss was attacking
"We can't! The teleport crystals don't work!" A man said as Irene and her crew popped in my mind.
"The heavy black army never runs from a fight!" Chris said 
"Just get out of there!! You're not match for him!!" I shouted as he ran towards us and was almost out until the boss killed him as he fell on the floor and he turned into crystal. 
"NOOOO!!" Jessica screamed as she was crying and fell to the ground
She then charged in as she attack the boss as it had no effect as it tried to hit Jessica. She spin in midair and got punched I then ran in and block the attack that was going to Jessica.
"Get back!" I said as she nodded
Taeng and her guild help all the army and put them behind us as I was blocking the boss's attacks. I then attack as it made a game mark as the boss fought back as I was attacking, blocking, jumping and moving as j was also getting hit as well. The Gleam's sword was going to split me in half, but I blocked it and was hanging on as o was struggling to hold it
"Yul!" Jessica shouted
"Yul! Get out of there!" Taeng shouted
The Gleam then lift up its sword and attack as I dodged it 
 Should I use it here and now? But...
I looked at Jessica, then at Taeng and the army. I closed my eyes as Irene popped in my head
!! I can't think now.. I don't have time.. I need to use it!!
"Jessica! Taeng! Hold it off for a bit." I shouted as they nodded
Come on! Come on!! I thought as i was going through my inventory
Done!!
"Ok!! Switch!!" I said as I run towards the Gleam as I blocked the attack as the second sword that Seohyun made came out from behind me as I took it out and begin to attack.
"Starbeam attack!" I shouted as I attack the boss continuously.
Hurry!! Come on!! Almost there!! Faster!! Arggghhhhhaaaa!!! 
I then stab my swords in the Gleam's stomach as it turned into crystal. I was huffing and puffing as I saw my HP was almost gone. 
"Is it over, Irene?" I asked as she popped in my head and smiled as everything went black

Jessica's Pov

As Yul fell to the ground, I went towards her as her health bar was red and only have a little bit left. 
"Yul!! Yul!! Wake up." I said as I nudged her as tears were forming in my eyes
"Mm.. What happened? Did we win?" She asked as I nodded as I then hugged her
"Chris and a few other people had died." 
"We haven't had any people die since floor 56." She said 
"Nice battle out there, even though I helped a little.. Next time we meet, I'll have a girlfriend!!" Taeng said as they left with the army
"Jessica. If you continue to hug me like this, my HP will go down." She said
"Im aorry, but I dont know what I would do if you died right here and now." I said
"Well, you were the one who jump in first.
"I think im going to take a break from the guild." 

"What?" 

"Did you already forget? Im partying with you remeber?" I said

"Ok." She said as we stay like we are.

Yuri's Pov

I went on the 50th floor and met up with Chan's store as Jessica went back to KBO headquarters.

"So the Gleam killed the entire heavy black army and was taking down by a one-guy with two swords with a flashly combo move.Haha You're on the news!!" Chan said

"Whats so good being on the news anayways. I've being chased down by swordsmens and info brokers everyday and night." I said

"You said you use it in secret, but you blew it." Seohyun said was she was carrying a box full of weapons as she smiled while I got annoyed

Then the door suddenly opened as Jessica came in

"This is bad Yul! Everything became worst!" She said as I went towards her

"What happened?" I asked as I was confused

"The KBO headquarters wants to speak with you." She said

"Then lets go."

"I believe this is the first time we have met, right Yul?"

"No, we had talked during the meeting for clearing floor 65." I said

"Head Commander Hyunseok." I added at the end

"It was indeed a difficult battle. Some made it out, some didnt. People call us the top guild for a reason Yul. We are the top guild is because we are stronger than ant other guild. And now here we are, you taking one of our important vice commander." He said

"If she's important to you, then why dont you let her decide if she wanted a bodyguard, instead of you picking for her." I asked

"Its the policy, but I apologize for Wonbin's behavior. If you want to take Jessica with you, you'll have to duel with me... Both swords. If you win, you can take Jessica with you. If I win, you join the KBO, whether you like it or not." He said

"Ok. I'm better at fighting than speaking. We'll let the duel decide." I said

*At the hotel room*

"Yul, you dont have to do this." Jessica said

"Dont worry. I'll win" I said

"But-"

"I said dont worry." I said lying on the bed

She then put her head on my stomach as she covers her face while I pat her head
