Kibum felt his eyes get heavier , he looked at the time , it was almost midnight and he still need to finish the paper work due to tomorrow , he still have to type the math schedules for the senior classes , and he have to set up the math teacher’s schedules and then send it to them , sighing , he yawned and stretched , deciding to make a coffee , he stood up and went to the kitchen , he was wearing his favorite kitten pajama that looked extremely good on him , and he know nothing can change his mood

 even though he have a lot of job to do , kibum was kinda … happy

He didn’t feel responsible for something for a long time , and having a job like this made him feel a bit , like himself , his old self , pouring the coffee on his favorite mug , he smiled at the cute bear that was decorating it before making his way back to his room , he settled in his seat and started to type again , looking between the papers he have , and the other classes schedules

Surely working for kim jonghyun was not that bad ,a week had passed and he still didn’t kill him , which is something he  needs get rewarded for , the arrogant bastard , made kibum’s blood boil whenever he smiled , but what made him hate him more , was the stern voice he’d use when kibum mess up or forget his 7.35 coffee , it’s the kind of voice that scared kibum and made him know for sure that he can never get closer to the older , even if he keep working for him his whole life

 the dude was simply cold and closed off , the only day he saw him smiling was when yunho came to get lunch with him

Kibum hated his eyes the most , his big round eyes , that somehow reminded him of a puppy , the eyes that sometimes seem so warm and gentle , while other times seem cold and distant , and kibum hated himself for noticing such stuff on the older , he cannot help it , kibum is a guy that noticed small things about people

The sound of his phone startled him from his thoughts , blinking his eyes , kibum wondered who would be calling him at this hour , he looked for his phone and found it under a pile of papers , looking at the number , kibum’s eyes winded , the surprise making him cough a bit before answering

‘ um , hello ?”

“ oh , you finely answered kibum-ssi “

Rolling his eyes , kibum wanted to do nothing but kick kim jonghyun in the guts , he is never happy with him , even over the phone

“ yeah , well normal people sleep at this hour boss , didn’t you think that you maybe are disturbing me “

“ I believe you have too much work to be sleeping “

“ oh that “

Kibum answered as he crossed his legs , a malicious smile on his face

“ I finished that hours ago “

“ oh good then , since you finished your job early , you may come to work earlier tomorrow ?”

Wait ..no , he didn’t finish yet , kibum wanted to cry his eyes out , he won’t finish for another hour

“ um .. how early ?”

Kibum asked nervously , and he swear he could feel jonghyun’s smirk over the phone

“  6am ? some construction workers are coming and I need you to show them around the classes that needs to be repaired “

Slamming his head on his desk , kibum sighed and answered

“ yeah .. sure “

He heard jonghyun chuckle before hanging up , not even saying a good night , well to go mannered men

“ what the hell kim kibum why would you say that you finished “

Kibum nagged at himself as he slammed his head harder against the desk, not even caring about getting a red mark on his forehead , wanting nothing more than digging a hole and hiding in there for the rest of his life

And here he thought that nothing can ruin his kitten pajama mood

Kim jonghyun can ruin his whatever mood , whenever he wanted to

“ oh here he Is “

Kibum heard jonghyun say as soon as he entered his office , his blond hair was everything but styled , kibum knew it looked messy and he did nothing to style it because simply he didn’t have time to , he wore some tight black pants and a loose white shirt , he didn’t even have time to put his lenses so he had to put on his glasses , he knew he looked cute wearing them , with a coffee on his hand and a pile of papers on his other , he yawned and put down the papers on the nearest table , he took another sip from his coffee before waving toward jonghyun

“ good morning “

He said voice dead tired

looking at jonghyun and then the guy sitting in front of jonghyun he added a polite smile toward the handsome man  ,

jonghyun looked at kibum and felt his face heat a bit at the sight the way the dark pants fit his long skinny legs perfectly , shifting in his seat , he mentioned to kibum to sit down and kibum did so

“ just out of curiosity , what happened to your forehead ?”

Jonghyun asked noticing the red spot on the younger’s forehead and he felt kibum tense at the question before taking another sip from his coffee , with a glare , he smiled at jonghyun a so not sincere smile

“ oh this ? nothing , but thank you for mentioning it , really  “

Jonghyun wanted to roll his eyes , so he cannot even ask him something like that ? what did he say wrong to make the blond reply that coldly

“ never mind “

 jonghyun said shaking his head , he looked at the guys sitting in his left and introduced him

 “ kibum-ssi , this is kim joong-ssi , he and his man will start the construction work tomorrow , he came here with two of his coworkers , you must’ve met them outside “

Joong chuckled when kibum wrinkled his noise and shook his head as he took another sip from his coffee, and jonghyun would’ve thought it was cute if he wasn’t already mad at him

“ will you put that away  “

Kibum only stared at his boss and raised an eyebrow , looking at the coffee cup he pointed to the coffee cup and jonghyun nodded  , rolling his eyes , he nearly threw the cup at jonghyun’s face , restraining himself he put the cup down calmly and  smiled innocently , only jonghyun was obvious to the glare the blond was sending him

“ so , kibum-ssi is going to show me the classes ? “

Joong said breaking the tension between the two men , jonghyun smiled and nodded his head ,before standing up and extending his hand , joong stood up as well and shook jonghyun’s hand

“ please do your job well , I don’t think the classes need a lot of job , just a repaint , and there is a broken window because of the storm the other night , I’d appreciate it if you don’t take too long fixing them “

Joong nodded in understanding

“ I will do my best , jonghyun-ssi “

“ let’s go “

Kibum said bossily ignoring the way joong was chuckling under his breath or the way jonghyun glared at him coldly

“ after you “

 the blond smiled politely at joong and walked before him so he can show him the way , and jonghyun could swear he saw joong smirk and look down at kibum’s legs as he walked from behind , he cleared his throat and looked at his computer , trying to forget the twisting in his stomach

Kibum walked joong and the other two around the classes noting what have to be fixed in each one, and taking notes of everything joong says about the materiel he needs and the period of time he have to spend fixing

“ so how  long have you been working here ?”

Joong asked while examining the window in front of him taking the measures and writing them down ,  wearing nothing but a sleeveless shirt , he was good looking , kibum have to admit , with his strong jaw line and sun kissed skin ,  kibum walked toward joong and sat on a table next to the window he was working on

“ um , actually not that long , I have just started working for him , I’m actually a teacher , but I’m working here as a secretary “

Joong chuckled and looked up at kibum , an amused look on his face

 “ it’s a long story “

Kibum said chuckling too , he watched as joon carefully examined the wood of the window ,

“ jonghyun-ssi seems like a nice person , you must be enjoying this job “

 Kibum scoffed ,

 “ looks can be deceiving , I’m just saying “

Actually , kim jonghyun was not that bad if you look at it , he surely was irritating for some unknown reason , especially when he smiled , oh how much kibum want to punch his handsome face whenever he smiled , but he wasn’t a bad person to be fair , he did nothing that actually makes kibum hate him but for some reason , he just can’t stand the older

Joong looked at kibum as he was deep in thought , his red lips were pouting a little , a pink-ish color coloring his cheeks , and he wondered what the blond was thinking about , or who

“ joong , we finished taking the measures “

One of two guys rushed inside the class startling kibum and joong , they locked gaze for a second and joong felt his cheeks heat a bit  , clearing his throat he looked at sungjoong and said

“oh good , shall we start ?”

“ now ? “

The dude named sungjoong asked and joong just nodded

“ there is no complicated job to do , just a few changes , we can start now so we can finish fast as jonghyun-ssi asked “

Sungjoong nodded and headed to the car to get the materiel needed while kibum stood there awkwardly watching as joong and minsu talked about the work

“ um is there something I can help you guys with ?”

Kibum asked , but he regret it the moment he saw the smile on minsu’s face , this is not going to be good , kibum thought

“ well um , the thing is , we didn’t bring our food , so can you um … make us lunch ?”

“ I can buy it for you guys “

Kibum asked , head titled a bit

“ um , no can do , sungjoong is allergic to some contents , and he cannot eat take outs , so um , can you make us something real quick , on the school kitchen , anything simple , if you don’t want to do it just …”

“  okay okay , I will do it , you are baffling  “

Kibum said with a smile his dimples showing , minsu’s eyes got bigger and he bowed down thankfully , making kibum bow down

 “ so , um for how many people ?”

Kibum asked ,nervously , why did he have to be such a nice person , he could’ve said no , but he’s just that nice , jonghyun have to be thankful because he is doing this

“ I guess there are 5 more coming tomorrow , for today , it’s just the 3 of us , right joon ?”

“ yeah “

Joong yelled from the other part of the class , too busy doing is job

“ I can arrange that , let me just ask my boss , I will come back later ! work hard “

Kibum said as he made his way outside , he let out a sigh and headed toward jonghyun’s office , weirdly , his heart was beating rapidly , but he just ignored it , he wouldn’t be mad , would he ? because he agreed to make them lunch on the school’s kitchen , nah he won't be mad .. hopefully

“ YOU SAID WHAT? “

Jonghyun said , voice getting louder with every word he said , kibum winced at the screaming and backed down a little , standing up jonghyun walked around the  desk so he can stand in front of the blond who was sitting comfortably on the leather chair , biting his nails nervously , trying not to break eye contact with his boss

“ so let me get this straight , you , for some reason agreed to use the school kitchen to cook food for the construction workers  we hired , and who are going to get paid after finishing their job ?”

Kibum looked up at jonghyun , with innocent eyes and nodded slowly , biting his lower lip , the look jonghyun was giving him made him want to dig a hole and hide in there , swallowing , he decided to say something on his defense , anything to break the silence stare he was getting from his angry boss

“ um .. I didn’t think of it as a big deal , and he said that the other worker was allergic  and I thought tha.”

“ you didn’t think kibum , you just didn’t okay “

kibum snapped , he cannot just yell at him like that , especially when he did nothing wrong

“ why are you yelling at me like that , I’m  the one who is going to do the cooking, what are you getting all worked out about “

jonghyun sat on the coffee table that was in front of kibum and said , eyes dead serious

“ I am a person who hates when my coworkers does something without my permission , and you have other stuff to do kibum-ssi , you're actual job that you may not keep if you keep on doing things your own way“

Jonghyun’s gaze met kibum’s scared one and he sighed , the tears that were threatening to fall from the pretty feline eyes made jonghyun feel like an , pinching the bridge of his noise 

Why was he putting up with kibum’s behaviors again ? he just doesn’t know

“ you know what , whatever , just don’t make a lot of mess and clean after you do your thing okay , of course don’t forget that you have job to do at the office , I will be firing you if you ignore your job because of your babysiter game you're playing "

 kibum nodded and stood up , mumbling under his breath “ungrateful bra” while making his way toward the door

“ I heard that “

Jonghyun said coldly startling kibum who turned around  with a smile and bowed down , the blond rushed out of the office before jonghyun can fire him , closing the door behind him

It was lunch time and jonghyun was making his way to the parking lot to go to a nearby restaurant and have lunch , the sound of laughing and giggling surprised him , and he decided to check out what was going on

He was surprised when he saw kibum sitting next joong and the other two on the floor , the food kibum obviously made was around them , 4 plates of delicious omurice and a lot of side dishes and soup , and jonghyun wondered when did kibum made all this , the look joong was giving the blond , and the way his hand landed on his leg did not go unnoticed by jonghyun

“ oh jonghyun-ssi “

Sungjoong said smiling when he noticed him , and jonghyun smiled back , still looking at kibum who was too busy eating , or maybe just ignoring him

“ um come here and join us , kibummie hyung here made a lot of food , see “

Minsu said happily and kibum ruffled his hair , jonghyun narrowed his eyes at the blonds’ act , when did they even get close to that point , deciding he had enough jonghyun smiled politely

“ oh my friends are waiting for me for dinner , so..”

They nodded in understanding and jonghyun turned around to leave , feeling for some reason mad , and a bit disappointed , kibum did not even look his way and it just made him feel .. weird

finely reaching his car , jonghyun was about to open the door when he heard kibum calling him 

“ jonghyun-ssi wait “

Hearing kibum voice , jonghyun stopped in track and turned around , the younger was running toward him , stopping only when he was only few steps away from him , his blond locks were covering his eyes as he tried to catch his breath , standing there awkwardly , jonghyun waited for kibum to say something

“ um .. well .. this is for you “

Kibum said handing jonghyun what seemed like a bento box , jonghyun chuckled when he saw the way kibum’s eyes were persisting and how he was blushing

“ what is this kibum-ssi “

he asked amused , clearing his throat kibum shifted from a leg to another , arms still extended with the box in between

“ well , I figured out , since it is the school’s kitchen I was using and .. just that I at least have to give you this.. the food I made , I mean .. yeah um , you can throw it away If you don’t want to eat , but yeah “

Kibum cursed himself for shuttering , at that moment he wished nothing more than shooting himself feeling embarrassed, especially after seeing the way jonghyun was smiling at him he bit his lower lip nervously

“ you know what never mind , that was stupid “

He said turning around , jonghyun grabbed his arm and turned him around again gently , their eyes locked for few seconds , kibum’s feline eyes met jonghyun’s gentle gaze and for a second , kibum felt his breath hitch and his heart beat harder against his chest , he felt jonghyun take the box from his hands and smile at him handsomely

“ my mother always told me to never waste food , so I’m taking it “

Jonghyun said tapping the box between his hands , kibum tsked and smiled

“ you can just say thank you , you know ... boss “
