It was Thursday night. Shin hye was talking to Minho over the phone.

“Oppa, are you ready tomorrow?” she asked

“Of course I am. When your aboeji invited me, I started packing my clothes” he said

“Really, are you that excited?” she asked, giggling at the thought that he was more excited than her

“It was a joke” said Minho

“Yah, and to think I was flattered” said Shin hye

“Too bad your parents will not be  able to join tomorrow” said Minho

“Yes, it was rather unexpected. Appa really needs this vacation but I guess something came up with work. I told him to retire already. Being the President of that corporation he works for is really consuming his time and the time he was supposed to spend with Omma” said Shin Hye

“Well, if we got married, I will always find time for you and for our kids” said Minho

“Isn’t it a little too early to talk about marriage and kids?” she asked

“I am 31 already. I want to settle down” said Minho

“Well, I’m just 27 and I want to enjoy my life first” said Shin Hye

“You will enjoy it even were married. I promise you” said Minho

“Did you know that my parent’s really like you, enough to let me go on this vacation with you” said Shin Hye

“What is not to like, Angel?” said Minho

“Well, you are so conceited” said Shin Hye

“I’m a real catch. I’m handsome, I’m rich, I’m intelligent, and I’m so in love with you” said Minho

“We should end this conversation. Yes, you’re a real catch... I am not so bad myself right?” said Shin Hye

“Yes, I told you I’m a lucky man” said Minho

“I love you, Oppa. See you tomorrow” said Shin Hye

“I love you more.  We’ll fetch you around 9am” said Minho

“Ok,  can I tell you something?” she asked

“What?” he asked back

“I’m excited and nervous about this vacation” said Shin Hye

“Well, me too. More than you ever know” said Minho

“Good night Oppa! “ she said

“Goodnight Angel” he said

“You can hang up now” she said

“You can hang up first” he said

“I can do this all night Angel, talking to you but you need to rest and sleep” said Minho

“Ok,  Mr. Lee Min Ho, goodnight” said Shin Hye

“Good thing I am not beside you. I told you I don’t want you calling me that” said Minho

“It’s because you’re not here, that’s why I am calling you like this, Mr. Lee” said Shin Hye

“You’re going to pay for that tomorrow” said Minho

“Bye... goodnight Oppa” said Shin Hye

“Goodnight,Angel.. I love you” said Minho and soon.. Shin Hye hang up the phone.

She opened the door leading to her veranda. She looked up at the sky filled with stars. Her heart is filled so much happiness.  She sent a text message to Minho.

“I am now staring at the night sky filled with so many stars. When I’m not by your side, just look up and you’ll know I’m thinking of you”

And instantly he replied

“Why do i feel something on the tone of your message?” he texted back

“Yes, there’s something. It’s the love that I feel for you” she replied

“Ok, I will do that. And same here, every time you see the stars, I am with you. Wrapping my arms around you and whispering the words I love you” said Minho in his reply

“You are making me cry” texted Shin Hye

“I am not there so you cannot cry. I won’t be able to shed your tears”  he replied

“Sleep now, see you tomorrow” he sent another message

She went back to her room and close the door behind her. As she lay down on her bed, she prayed hard. That everything will stay the same.

The following day, Minho arrived earlier than expected. It was only 7am and Shin Hye was still in her Shirt and Pajama.

Their household help lead Minho to the dining room. She was having breakfast, while reading the business page of the morning news paper.

He was just staring at her. No make-up. Her hair in a messy bun. So this is the typical day for her. He was smiling. She was pretty in those clothes she wear in the office but she was prettier even on simplest clothing like this white shirt.

She looked up and her eyes widened as he was smiling at her.

“Oppa, you’re too early and I’m still in my pajamas” she complained

“Still in pajamas but you’re still pretty” said Minho, and he kissed her cheeks.

“Good morning, Angel” said Minho

“Ahjumma, can you get Minho a cup of coffee. Black and half teaspoon of sugar “ said Shin Hye

“How did you know my preference in coffee” asked Minho

“I asked your secretary” she replied

“Where are your parents?” he asked

“My dad left early and my mom still fast asleep. She’ll probably wake up by 10am. Do you like some pancakes and bacon?” she asked

He nodded, as Shin Hye put a pancake, topped it with butter and maple syrup and put bacon on the side.

“Thank you , Angel” said Minho

After breakfast, Shin Hye excused herself and started to get dressed.

In less than an hour, she now emerges from the stairs, wearing shorts and sleeveless blouse. Her hair tied up in a bun together with her carry on bag.

When Minho saw her he frowned.

“I think you should change” he said

“Why? It’s summer. We’re going to Jeju. And this is my usual get up whenever I go to Jeju”  she explained.

“Change into jeans” said Minho

“Oppa! “ she protested

“Shin Hye, change now” he ordered

“Ok, I will change. Gosh, I hate you when you’re like this” as she returned to her room and change. She also took her checked blouse and put it on top of the sleeveless blouse she’s wearing.

She went to her mom’s room.

“Omma, we’re leaving” as she sat at the edge of the bed.

“Take care my dear. I am letting you have a vacation with him because I trust him and I trust you. You’re both adults and you should be responsible already for your actions” said Mrs. Park

“Omma, I know and thank you for that” said Shin hye

“We’ll go now. I’ll call you when we reach Jeju” said Shin Hye as she heads through the door.

“Shin Hye” her mom called.

She was surprised that her mom hugged her.

“Take care baby and enjoy your vacation” said her mom

“Yes I will, Omma. I love you and Appa” said Shin Hye

When Minho saw her now dressed in jeans, he smiled.
