Shin Hye was looking at the PNL of Lee Holding Inc. She needs to report the good news to her boss, Lee Jong Suk. She was hired a year ago as Finance Head of Lee Holdings, Inc and so far, the company has been profitable. But this one is different. She always wants to make a big impression to her boss. She has a secret crush for Lee Jong Suk. The moment she set eyes on him, she knew she liked him. He was friendly, always makes her laugh. But he always keep her at arm’s length. She knows his family is arranging him to be engage to the daughter of his father’s friend.

She straightened  her dress and knocked softly on Jong Suk’s door.

“Come in” he said

“Good Morning, Mr. Lee” she said

He looked up and smiled, signalling her to sit down.

“I brought the financial report. And we hit our target GP and even our bottom line was above target” said Shin Hye

He smiled. He has worked hard for this as he wants to impress his father.

“Thank you very much , Shin Hye” said Jong suk

“I already included the financial analysis on the summary” she said.

“Great” commented Jong Suk, when the phone rang

“Sir, your father, Chairman Lee on line 1” said his secretary

“Hello, Aboeji. What a nice surprise” he said

“You need to go home. We need to discuss something” said his father

“Ok, Aboeji. I will be home soon” said Jong Suk

“Is everything ok?” Shin Hye asked.

“Yes, I just need to go home. Thanks for this report. Please email this as well. I’ll bring the hard copy to Aboeji” said Jong Suk

“Mr. Lee, I heard about the CEO position. The Chairman is retiring soon?” she asked

“Yes, my father wants to focus on non-profit organizations. I think it was his passion since he also came from the ranks. It’s high time that he retire” said Jong Suk

“Well, I hope the replacement be well thought of” said Shin Hye

“What if it was me?” asked Jong Suk

“I know you will do well” said Shin Hye and smiled at him.

Lee Jong Suk smiled back at Shin Hye, and she felt her face was hot. She’s praying that  she’s not blushing.

“I’d better go. See you tomorrow” said Jong Suk

They went out of the office together, Jong Suk headed to the elevator, Shin Hye headed to her office.

Shin Hye smiled. She wished that he will be the next CEO.

Lee Jong Suk was smiling while waiting for the elevator. He is confident that he will be the next CEO.

Shin Hye went back to her office when she received a text from her best friend  Soo Jin.

“Let’s meet later.  We’re here in B One. Let’s party”

Shin Hye replied

Then her phone rang, and it was Soo Jin.

“Hey, Ms. Park, your friends misses you. It’s Krystal's  birthday. How could you have missed it” said Soo Jin

“Oh my, I forgot. Ok, I will drop by” said Shin Hye

“Ok, we’ll wait for you” said Soo Jin

She looked at her watch. It’s almost 7 pm. She went to the parking lot. She was tired but she can’t let her friends down.

It took her an hour to reach the B One Lounge Club. Since it was Friday, it was full house.

She looked around, and saw her friends at the center of the dance floor. She waved at them and Soo Jin waved back.

She greeted Krystal and gave her a hug “ Happy Birthday , Krystal”

“Thank you for coming” said Krystal

“Where were you seated?” she asked

Soo Jin led her to their table. She called the waiter and ordered only a sparkling water.

“Really? Water?  This is a bar Shin Hye” said Soo Jin

“You know I have low tolerance for alcohol” said Shin Hye

“Cocktails will do” said Soo Jin and she ordered it for Shin hye.

“I love that song, Shin Hye. Come on let’s dance” said Soo Jin

“You go ahead” said Shin Hye

She took her phone and started to check some emails. She has no plans in joining her friends in the dance floor.

She was busy answering the emails from her phone and when the waiter arrived and handed over the cocktails. She thanked him with a sweet smile on her face.

Then her eyes locked with a man just right across their table. He was looking at her. Then much to her surprise, he winked at her.

Shin Hye just ignored him and continue with checking her emails, although she was well aware that he was still looking at her.
