He sent a text message to Shin Hye as soon as he arrived home.

“In case you want to know, I just arrived safely at home. Thank you for tonight and I’ll be seeing you tomorrow”

Shin Hye saw his text and she smiled.

Should she reply? She asked herself but she can’t help it.

“Good. Now let me sleep. I have to work tomorrow. Goodnight Minho”

“Good night Shin Hye, dream of me”

She smiled. She prayed that she will dream of him...

The following day, Minho woke early, too excited to start the day.

Jong Suk was in the dining room, eating his breakfast when he arrived.

“What time did you return last night?” Minho asked

“It’s none of your business. You’re not my boss here at home” said Jong Suk

“Well, I am not, but you have to act responsible as part of this household. And next time, don’t bother Shin Hye” said Minho

Their father arrived , but Minho doesn’t want to stay any further.

“Aboeji, I have to go. I will have to fetch Ms. Park. Her car was left in the Parking Lot because of me” said Minho

Inside his car, he sent a text  message to Shin Hye – “I’m on my way to your house”

Shin Hye woke up early as well. She doesn’t want someone waiting for her.

She was dress in black skirt and a black blazer with a white low neck blouse. She wore her favourite necklace, a gift from her parents during her 18th birthday.

She went down only to find Minho waiting for her. He was talking to her mom.

“Good Morning” said Minho

“You’re early. Did you had breakfast?” she asked

“I want about to invite you to have breakfast at the cafe near the office” he suggested

“Ok, I’ll just say goodbye to Aboeji” said Shin Hye

“Appa, I’ll be going. See you tonight” said Shin Hye

“Minho, please have dinner tonight here at our house” said Mrs. Park

“Thank you Mrs. Park. I will have to check with your daughter if she wants me to come” he said

“Come on, I’m ready. See you later Omma” said Shin Hye

“I invited Minho later for dinner” said Mrs. Park

“Omma, Minho might have some plans tonight” said Shin Hye

“I don’t have plans. And if I have, I wouldn’t dare miss your mom’s invitation” said Minho

“Let’s go. Omma, see you later” shouted Shin Hye

“Bye, Mr. Park, Mrs. Park” said Minho

Minho opened the car door for her.

“Thank you” she said shyly

Minho climbed inside and helped her again with her seatbelt.

He was looking at her directly in her eyes as he fastened her seatbelt.

Then his gaze lowers to her lips.

Instantly, Shin Hye covered .

Minho laughed and removed the hand covering .

“Do you think I will maul you every time were together like this?” and continue to laugh making her face flushed with embarrassment.

And then he took hold of her hand and kiss her palm.

“This is enough” said Minho

She uttered a deep sigh and looked at the window, while Minho started to drive.

“What’s your schedule for today?” he asked

“I have a 9 am meeting with the board. I need to update them on the Q1 performance of LHI and also the Performance from other subsidiary” said Shin Hye

“I will be joining that meeting as well” he said

“Can I request something?” said Shin Hye

“Can we be professional at the office?” she said

Minho laughed again.

“Can you stop that? You’re beginning to irritate me” said Shin Hye

“I promise to behave. You haven’t seen me in the board room yet so don’t judge me” said Minho

“Ok, that’s enough” she replied.

They arrived at the car port and both of them went down. Minho gave the key to the valet and they head towards the cafe.

He took hold of her hand while walking. Shin Hye tried to get it back but Minho gave her a disgruntled look.

They walk in silence. He opened the door for her when they entered the cafe.

“What do you want?” he asked

“I just want a vanilla latte and French toast” said Shin Hye

“Ok, I’ll order. Find a seat for us” said Minho

She chose the far corner.

She took her phone and check on some text messages and emails.

There was one from Jong Suk

“Call me, if you’re free”

Then she looked at Minho, he was still waiting for their order. She decided to call Jong Suk.

“Mr. Lee, good morning” said Shin Hye

“I need you to do something for me Shin Hye” he said

“What is it?” she asked

“Have you prepared the report for the board meeting this morning?”

“Yes I have. Why?” she asked

“I need you to tweak some of the reports” he instructed

“Why?” she asked

“Don’t ask questions. I’ll give you the brief and I want you to present that” said Jong Suk

“No, that report is final. Not unless you tell me why i need to alter it” said Shin Hye

“I’m your boss”  he said

“Yes, but I also report directly to the CEO and he got the report already” said Shin Hye

“So even you, he got you on his side as well” said Jong Suk

“I am not taking sides. And I am here to work” then she put her phone down.

Minho was coming, noticing her irritation.

“I saw you talking to someone. Everything ok?” he asked

“Should I tell him?” and then she just decided not to.

They ate in silence. He noticed her change in mood.

“You’re not ok. Tell me, what was that phone call?” ask Minho

“I’m ok. Let’s leave it that way” said Shin Hye

“No, you’re upset and I will not let it go” said Minho

“Fine!” and then she took her bag and stand up and head towards the door.

Minho went after her and grab her hands.

“What?” she shouted

She’s so frustrating. Minho thought.

“You are one infuriating female” said Minho

“I hate you” said Shin Hye

“What did I do?” said Minho

“Just leave me alone for a while” said Shin Hye as she pulled her hand and walk back to LHI Building.

Once she reached her office, she opened her mac book and saw  the brief emailed by Jong Suk. He wants her to manipulate the Operating Expenses which she cannot and will not do. She replied to his email

“We have been transparent ever since. Of all people, you should now this. I always admired you for your parity and what happened now? I have high respect for you. I’ll let this be for now. I hope there will be no repetition of this moving forward. I will not report this to your Father and Brother but rest assured, I will not let this happen”

She looked at her watch and she needs to check the presentation for their 9’oclock meeting. Then she remembered she was unfair to Minho. He was just trying to understand her earlier this morning. She sent a text message

"Sorry, for my tantrums. Just pressures at work. Hope we're ok" 

"Of course we are, but next time, I want you to be open with me" he replied

She smiled and  went to the board room directly .

One by one, the members of the board started to arrive. Majority of them are in mid 50’s while there are also in their early 40’s and mid 30’s. Majority were men and there were only 2 women in the group, both married. So technically, Shin hye was the most eligible in the group.
