Both of them were silent.

Just looking at each other, while others are still partying.

Minho was still holding her hand underneath the table in a caressing manner.

Both were smiling, oblivious that there’s one person staring intently at them.

“I’ll just go to the powder room” said Shin Hye

“Don’t be long” he said and kissed her hand.

She smiled and head towards the direction of the powder room.

Lee Jong Suk stands up and follows Shin Hye.

He must have drunk more than he can handle already.

Shin Hye was staring at herself in the mirror. She eyes shining. She knows she’s taking a big risk. But like he said,  one day at a time.

She combed her hair and put on some lip gloss and went outside the room when Jong Suk blocked her.

“Shin Hye.... Shin Hye... I thought you’re faithful to me” said Jong Suk

She knows he’s drunk already.

“Jong Suk, you’re drunk. I will call your driver” she said

“Was it because of the CEO position, that you preferred my brother over me?” he asked

“You’re upset over something. You’re drunk and not in your right senses. I will call your brother” and then she pushed him but he pushed her against the wall.

“Why my brother , Shin Hye?  You liked me, all the time, I know it” he said

“Let me go, you’re hurting me” she said, she was struggling

“Let her go” ... it was Minho and he was mad, close to being violent mad.

Jong Suk let her go and Minho pushed him and went to Shin Hye. He saw how tight Jong  Suk was holding her when he arrived.

“Let me look at your arms” he asked

“No it’s nothing. I just want to go home” said Shin Hye

“Remove your blazer, now. I want to see your forearms” he commanded.

She removed her blazer and he saw finger marks on her white skin. Both of them know it will create bruise against her white complexion.

Minho cursed and then grab Jong Suk’s collar.

“If you have problem with me, don’t let her come in between. Leave her out of this. And the next time I saw you touching her, or hurt her, I may forget that you are my brother” said Minho, then he pushed him again, against the wall.

He grabbed her hands and they went to their table just to get her bag and he drag her out of the hotel. He took his phone and called his driver.

In less than 5 minutes, his driver was there.

“Give me your keys” he said to ShinHye

“I will be driving your car while my driver will follow us” said Minho

It’s no use to argue and she handed him the keys.

Inside her car, she knows that he is really angry and she’s not talking.

“I’m sorry” he said

“For what?” she asked

“I was so angry with Jong Suk. If you’re not there, I may have punched him” said Minho

“I’m sorry too” she said

“For what?” he asked

“For causing trouble” she said

He pulled over in front of their house and stopped the engine.

“You didn’t cause any trouble. I’m sorry that I came too late. Or else he wouldn’t have hurt you” then he pulled her for an embrace.

“I would probably hurt anyone who would dare lay a finger on you and I am angry that it was my own brother. I said I will protect you” said Minho

“It’s not your fault and besides this doesn’t even hurt” said Shin Hye

“What will you tell to your parents?” he asked

“Nothing, I will not be wearing sleeveless clothes until the marks were gone” said Shin Hye

“Tonight was pretty special” he said

Then he kissed her forehead and asked her “ Are you willing to take a risk? Giving ourselves a chance?”

She nodded and smiled back at him.

“Oh, Shin Hye, thank you” and then he embraced her again and this time, he planted soft kiss on her lips.

“We better move or your parents might think of something else” said Minho

Minho was holding their hand when her mom saw them. She was in the garden and she waved at them.

Shin Hye was pulling her hands but Minho held it tightly, not wanting to let her go.

“Is this serious?” her mom asked

“Yes, Mrs. Park” he answered

“Come, let’s inform your father” Mrs. Park said, smiling from ear to ear, cannot confide her excitement

Inside the house, Mr. Park and Minho were talking while Shin Hye and her mom was in the kitchen, preparing coffee and some cookies.

“They seemed serious” said Mrs.Park

“Omma, we just agreed to start dating, know more about each other. It’s not an official boyfriend-girlfriend thing” she said

“Shin Hye, I like Minho. He seemed to like you a lot too. And I think you also feel the same way. But I am still your mother. Take your time. Get to know him more. You’re still a baby when it comes to relationship” said Mrs. Park
