“This is a welcome surprise , Shin Hye. I didn’t know that it won’t be this easy in finding you. Now, how can you escape from me” said Minho

Shin Hye stepped back, trying to pull her hand from his hold, but he remained firm in holding her, almost in a caressing manner.

“We’ll talk later” said Minho  as he let go of her hand and went in front to say his piece.

“Thank you very much for this warm welcome. This was indeed a pleasant day” then he looked  at Shin Hye.

“As I am new here , I will be observing how everything works for a week or two. I will be meeting with you individually for some sort of Orientation. Then after two weeks, the real work begin. I am not like my father. I am straight forward. I speak my mind. If I set a goal on something,  rest assured I will get it. At all cost” then he looked at Shin Hye who is now flushed because she knows what he was talking about.

“I plan to make some re-organization but that will happen after my two weeks immersion. I am well aware that all targets for the year has been set, and I assure you, all those will be calibrated” he said.

All of them were just staring at Lee Min ho. He is so much different from his father, and definitely from Jong Suk.

“Where is Jong Suk?” she asked herself.

Then she remembered how enthusiastic he was last Friday, expecting that he will be the next CEO.  Shin Hye took out  her phone from her pocket and send a text message to Jong Suk.

“Sir,  are you ok?”

“Tell me, are you ok” she sent another one.

“I am here, if you need me”

It’s not like Jong Suk who will skip work specially on a Monday so there must be something wrong with him.

“Now, enough of our chit chat, let’s all go back to work” said Minho, casually dismissing them.

She was about to leave when he said “Ms. Park, can I have a word with you at my office? I need to be briefed about our financial status”

Her eyes widened and suddenly, her heart was beating fast.

This is not the cool, calm and confident Shin Hye. Show him how you work. Don’t get intimidated.

“Noted Sir. I will just get my mac book so I can present to you the latest Financial Statement of Lee Holdings” said Shin Hye as she returned to her room to get her laptop.

As she passed by Jong Suk’s office, he was there already.

She softly knocked on his door and he looked  up. It seems he just woke up. His face covered with beard, unshaven and there were dark circles in his eyes.

“Mr. Lee, what happened? Why are you like this?” she asked

He didn’t speak.

She approached him, and he’s still quiet.

“Sir, was it about the CEO position?” she asked

He smiled wickedly and looked up at her.

“He is more suited for the position. It has been decided even before and I didn’t know. I worked so hard. You know how hard I worked to bring Lee Holdings to a new height. All the time and I effort I put into this” said Jong Suk

“I hate to see you like this” said Shin Hye

“Because I am not prepared for this” said Jong Suk

Shin Hye took hold of his hand and squeezed it .

“Don’t be like this Jong  Suk. It’s not like you. If you think you deserve to be the CEO, then the more you have to work hard. We don’t know how your brother will perform so you have to on your toes every time, all the time” said Shin Hye.

Jong Suk stood up and held Shin Hye on shoulder.

“Thank you, Shin Hye. For telling me this, and for being here with me. I feel so alone. As if my father and brother conspired against me. I know it’s not like that but I can’t fight having such feeling” said Jong Suk

“It’s ok to feel bad at some point but don’t sulk in that feeling for a long time” said Shin Hye

Then slowly, Jong Suk embraced her. It was unexpected. But what happened to her?  She was weighing her feeling. No spark, no electricity. It was like a hug when trying to comfort a friend, or a sibling.

She was still contemplating what happened to her supposedly great crush for Lee Jong Suk when the door suddenly opened.

Minho was staring at them. His eyes were piercing through her soul.

She stepped back and Jong Suk’s hands fell on his side.

“Did I interrupted something?” Min ho asked.

“I’ll go ahead” said Shin Hye

“If I may remind you Ms.Park, I asked you to go to my office” said Minho

“I am sorry Sir” and then she went out of the room to get her laptop

“You’re a sore loser” said Minho

“I am not. Enjoy everything while you can” said Jong Suk

“I intend too. I didn’t ask for this. It was given freely to me” said Minho as he left the room.

Jong Suk threw files across the door. He was really pissed with his brother.

Minho went inside his office. He was so pissed with what he saw. He didn’t like it. Whether brother or not, Lee Jong Suk is still a man. He doesn’t like any men touching Shin Hye like that.

Shin Hye was heading towards Minho’s office. Her heart was beating faster. She was afraid to face him after that scene at Jong Suk’s office.

She knocked and she heard him say “ Come in”

He stand up and went to the couch, signalling her to join him.

She opened her laptop and opened her powerpoint presentation.

“So should we start?” she asked.

He shifted on the couch , he was now seated near her and it was really uncomfortable.

“Sir, I am a busy person. I don’t have much time” said Shin Hye

“How can you talk like that? I am the new CEO” said Minho

“How can you act like this, if you’re the CEO? Do you know  that I can file a harassment case against you?” she threatened

Minho smiled, and then he close her laptop and grabbed her hand and pulled her on her feet.

“It’s almost time for lunch. I’m hungry. You’re having lunch with me” said Minho

“Is that a question?”she asked

“No, it was a statement. As I’ve said, I’m new here, you need to tour me around” said Minho

“You can ask your secretary to do that” said Shin Hye

“I want you to have lunch with me” he insisted

“I always have my lunch with Jong Suk” she blurted out

As if she uttered the wrong word to say, he pulled her closer to him.

“Starting today, I don’t want you having lunch with my brother or any other man for that matter” he said, his tone authoritative.

“I can eat with anyone, any man, and you don’t have any say on it” said Shin Hye

“No, the moment I set my eyes on you, I have a say in everything that you do” he said

“Are you crazy?” she asked

“No, I told you I am not crazy. But I told you, you won’t escape from me”said Minho

“I am not your plaything. Don’t play games with me” said Shin Hye

“I am not playing any games. I’ve never been this serious” said Minho

She just stared at him, and she felt she won’t win on this battle.

“You’re one annoying bastard” said Shin Hye

Minho smiled and lifted her chin “ The next time you called me that, you will regret it” said Minho

“To tell you frankly, I am now beginning to regret working here in LHI. I am not here for past time, and for your information, I am in love with your brother” said Shin Hye

Shin Hye, you are not, but why did you say that. You’re a liar.. she told herself

She wants to fight him, but she was at the losing end of this battle. When she blurted it out, he was silent, just looking at her.

“You don’t love him” he said

“Yes, I love him” she answered

“Do you want me to stop bothering you?” he asked

“That will give me the greatest pleasure” said Shin Hye

“Are you up for a dare?” he asked

“What is it?” she asked

“Tell that to Jong Suk, confess your love for him,  right in front of me, then I will stop” said Minho

“Is that all?, that’s too easy” said Shin Hye

“Is it?” he asked

“Yes, I love him and I will tell that to Jung Suk right before your very eyes” said Shin Hye

“You haven’t asked what I want in return” he said

“What?” she asked

“You’ll be mine” he said

Shin Hye, what have you got yourself into. You have to back out now.

“Deal” said Shin Hye

“Deal” said Minho

She’s confident that she can utter those words to Jong Suk.

“Let’s have lunch “ said Minho

He was smirking. He always win. He knows he will win this game.

They were walking side by side going to the Cafeteria.

Girls are looking at him. And she was amazed how oblivious he was, not caring if these girls were almost drooling over him.

He took two trays and gave one to Shin Hye.

“Are you sure you want to eat here?” she asked

“I maybe a CEO but I am just a normal guy. I can eat anywhere, anything as long as it’s edible” said Minho

She was surprised. Never did  Jong Suk ate in the cafeteria. He either
