Chapter Nine
Needs | EDITINGThe wedding was only a week away and everything was almost set besides the flower arrangement but other than that everything was ready to go. The relationship between Minho and Sulli changed a bit over the past two weeks, they were much more closer and as if they were like a real couple, going on 'dates'
"I hope she likes these." Minho mumbles to himself as he gets out from his car, holding a bouquet of flowers. Prior to his arrival, Minho called up Sulli asking if she's busy and fortunately, she responded that she isn't at the moment
Minho contemplated if he should ask her to lunch or what but in the end, he picked up a bouquet of flowers at one of the flower shops near him. With a racing heart, Minho entered the cafe with a smile on his face
As he got inside, Minho instantly spotted Sulli. She was focused on taking orders at the counter. Since Sulli was at the counter, Minho got in line and 'ordered'. Just a couple of people ahead, Minho started to get nervous
"Minho? What are you doing here?" Sulli ask, Minho nervously chuckles, hiding the bouquet behind him, wanting to surprise her
"I came to order, what else is there to do?" Minho says, Sulli smiles a little, gently shaking her head
"Okay then sir. What would you like to order, Sir? Coffee? Pastries?" Sulli says, treating Minho like a customer
"I would like to have the two orders of the usual drinks I order and two plates of your guys' best tasting pastries and I would like you to personally bring them and enjoy it with me" Minho says with a cheeky smile, Sulli smiles back
"Is that all sir?" Sulli says, Minho nods his head
"Your order will be delivered in 15
minutes, sir" Sulli says, Minho thought if he should just give the flowers now or later when there in a more private situation than right now
"Can you step out of there for a brief moment please?" Minho says, Sulli looks at him confused but followed immediately. Minho stepped out of line and went to the next available table
Minho waited for a few minutes before Sulli came out, taking in a deep breath, he's going to present the beautiful flowers he has in his hands to Sulli, hoping that she will like them
"What's up? Why did you stop by?" Sulli asks, Minho shyly smiles, still hiding the flowers
"Is it wrong for me to stop by and enjoy coffee?" Minho says, Sulli giggles
"That's not what I meant. Aish never mind. Hey, are you hiding something from behind?" Sulli says, noticing that Minho's arms were behind his back, Minho starts to tremble
"Close your eyes and I'll show it to you" Minho ordered, Sulli did as what was told, closing her eyes shut tight. Minho made sure Sulli wasn't picking at all before he put the flowers in front of him
"In a count of three, open your eyes arachi? One, two, three. Sulli-ah, you can open your eyes now" Minho said, Sulli slowly opened her eyes, upon opening her eyes, she was surprised with the big bouquet of flowers in front of her
"What's this for? Is there anything to celebrate about? They're beautiful but what's the real reason for it? Yah, Choi Minho, what are you up to huh? Aigoo" Sulli says, slightly glaring at Minho who was looking tensed
"Wae? Aish, you're not going to say thank you at least? A simple thank you would be great to hear" Minho said, Sulli rolled her eyes
"Thank you, Froggy." Sulli teases, Minho scoffed
"Choi Sulli, at least thank me when I give you something like this. Where's the woman I meet who always say thank you? Is this the real you? How rude of you" Minho slightly jokes, Sulli put down the flowers on the table, crossing her arms in front of her
"For your information Mr. Choi, I was just surprised, okay? Your unbelievable" Sulli says coldly
"This won't be the only time you're going to be surprised." Minho says, Sulli knitted her eyebrows together, what is he saying?
"What do you mean?" Sulli asks, Minho coolly shrugs it off, annoying Sulli. Minho drifted into a different topic, wanting to avoid to talk about it. Right then, Minho remembered about his order and that Sulli was the one personally delivering it to him
"I think what I ordered is ready. Kindly get it and enjoy it with me." Minho says, grinning Sulli remembered and went back to the kitchen. As she came back, Sulli placed the drinks and pastries on the table, putting away the tray before taking her seat
"Are we in a date or what?" Sulli teasingly ask, Minho laughs ever so lightly
"You could say we are. A friendly date, right?" Minho says with a smile, Sulli laughs, nodding her head.
Why am I feeling like I'm in cloud nine just being with Minho? Is this what they call falling in love?

"You look glowing, is it because of that guy you were with? Aigoo, you two match each other well" Hara asks, one of Sulli's colleagues. Sulli laughs
"Glowing? What are you trying to convey Hara?" Sulli says, nervously laughing
"Oh come on Sulli-yah. Just the way you guys look at each other, I can tell that there's something more between you guys, so spill it" Hara responds, Sulli sighs, shrugging her shoulders
"There's nothing going on between us." Sulli lies, well there isn't actually. They might be bound to get married soon but is there really anything between them besides the deal? Nothing, right?
"Whatever you say, there's something. I just know it" Hara says, Sulli shrugs. Sulli busied herself, wanting to forget what they just talked about but the thought of it peaks through her mind
It was almost 10 at night and Sulli's shift barely ended. Feeling so dead tired, Sulli walked to the bus stop in no hurry. The night was chiller than normal and Sulli didn't have a sweater on her, rubbing her arms together for what seems like warmth
As she walking, her phone unexpectedly rang. Sulli looked through her purse and saw that it was Minho calling her, answering it immediately
[on the phone]
Sulli: Yeobosaeyo? Wae?
Minho: Yah, are you in the right thinking today?
Sulli: Huh? What do you mean?
Minho: It's getting late, it's chilly and your walking alone. Are you crazy?
Sulli: Mwo? How do you know I'm walking alone? Are you stalking me?
Minho: Aish, you're unbelievable.
Sulli: Where are you?
Minho: Turn around, pabo
Sulli put down the phone and slowly turned around. Just like she suspected, Minho was a feet away from her, fairly close. She stood still until Minho got to her
"How careless of you. You're not even wearing a sweater. Here, take this" Minho says, taking off his jacket, placing it over her shoulders, Sulli was startled but was thankful
"Thanks" Sulli mumbled, Minho sighs.
"Good thing I stopped by. Next time, call me or even Taemin to pick you up. Araseo?" Minho says, Sulli stays quiet
"Why did you even stopped by?" Sulli said
"I got worried and this is your usual time to go home, I was worried that something might happen to you" Minho shyly said, Sulli cracks a small smile
"That's sweet of you but I'm used to this. I can handle myself but thanks for the consideration. I appreciate it" Sulli says smiling
"From now on, no matter what time you end your shift or what, call me and I'll pick you up. I don't care if you're use to going home by yourself, I'm picking you up from now on" Minho said sternly, Sulli sighs
"But—never mind. Fine, I'll call you then." Sulli says, giving up. Minho proudly smiles
"Good, now let's head home." Minho says, wrapping his arm around Sulli's shoulders, pulling her to walk. Sulli didn't know how to respond but in the end, she wrapped her arm on Minho's waist
"Are you sure you don't want to come down and have coffee?" Sulli said as she was going to step on from the car and walk towards the lobby door
"No, it's okay. Next time again. Go inside safely. I'll leave when I see that your inside completely" Minho said with a smile
"Thank you for the flowers and the ride home. I really do appreciate it. Thanks Minho" Sulli says sweetly, Minho chuckles, nodding. Sulli lastly bid goodbye and went inside her complex. After seeing that Sulli disappeared into her apartment, Minho drove back home safely

"Umma, why are you still awake? It's almost 10:30. You should get some sleep" Minho said as he saw his mom at the living room
"I've been waiting for you actually. Can we talk for a bit?" Minho's mom asked, Minho hesitantly nodded, he took his seat and silence evolved around them
"So what do you want to talk about umma?" Minho carefully said, Mrs. Choi sighed
"How's Sulli doing?" She asks
"She's doing great. I was actually with her earlier, I dropped her home." Minho said, Mrs. Choi nods
"That's good to hear. So what—what about the preparations for your wedding? How's it going?" Mrs. Choi asked
"It's almost complete. We just need to pick out the flower arrangement and all is set." Minho replied, Mrs. Choi nods
"Anything else, umma?" Minho said, Mrs. Choi shakes her head. Minho was about to get up when Mrs. Choi said something
"Good Night, son. Sleep well." Mrs. Choi said gently, Minho just nodded and headed up to his room. Little did Minho know, Krystal was watching them from a far. When she saw that Minho left, she tried to catch up to him
"Oppa!" Krystal shouts after Minho. He turns around and found Krystal running towards him in her pajamas
"Why are you still up? Go back to sleep Krys" Minho says before he starts to walk again, leaving Krystal alone
"YA! OPPA!" Krystal shouts, annoyed. Minho annoyingly sighs, turning his back once more, facing Krystal
"Wae?! What do you want? I'm tired, Krys. Leave it for tomorrow." Minho said, almost shouting
"Fine, go to sleep but know that we're not done talking. I'll talk to you again tomorrow and you better not run away" Krystal said, Minho slightly nods, walking up the stairs and entering his room
The morning came and sure enough, Krystal was up and already banging on Minho's door. After several tries, Minho half asleep opened the door and Krystal rushed inside. Minho closed the door and laid back on his bed
"OPPA! IREONA!!! Wake up" Krystal roughly shakes Minho. Minho groans, rubbing his eyes
"What do you want Krys? It's barely 7 in the morning and your already annoying me. Aish, let me sleep!" Minho shouts
"Andwae! We need to talk about what happened yesterday." Krystal said. Not wanting to hear anymore from Krystal, Minho decided to just listen and get this over with
"What happened yesterday?" Minho asked, Krystal couldn't believe it. Did he loose his memories? Does he have amnesia?
"Your seriously unbelievable. You don't remember what happened yesterday night?" Krystal said, Minho groans
"What about it?" Minho said
"You seriously have no respect towards Umma and Appa do you? How come your acting that way?" Krystal said
"Mwo? What did you say? No respect? For your information, I have all respect for them." Minho answered, furiously
"Oh really? You have all the respect? Then why were acting so damn careless in front of umma last night?" Krystal said
"That's none of your business" Minho said coldly, Krystal scoffed
"Tsk, unbelievable. Your God damn wedding is in a week and your not fixing your problems with Umma and Appa? What will your wife think? That her husband is disrespectful and so damn careless towards his own parents? How embarrassing" Krystal said, throwing shame towards Minho
"What problems is there to fix? Tell me! Am I suppose to say sorry to them for being the son they never expected to be like? There the ones that need to stop being a total control freak over my life, that's what's they need to fix. Not me, them." Minho shouts in fury
"Can't you see that they're doing that for your own good? Tsk. How can you call yourself a son of theirs when you can't even learn to appreciate them and all the things they do for you." Krystal said, Minho stayed quiet
"You got nothing to say because what I'm saying is true, right?" Krystal said, scoffing
"Think about it oppa. Has anyone told you? Appreciate your family especially your parents because they've been through then anyone else has." Krystal said before leaving Minho's room
