Alhtough I still can’t be bothered sitting up and getting ready for work. Knock Knock.

“Who’s there?!” I shouted and buried my head in my pillow.

“HURRY UP JONGHYUN!” Great, it’s Amber.

“NO!” I complained.

“Don’t make me go in there.” Like I’d care.

“Yeah...” She barged in with a glass of water. Not scared of that.

“Are you sure you don’t want to get up?” She shot me a glare.

"It's just water..."

"It just came from the refrigerator..." She said sarcastically.

“OKAY. OKAY I’M GOING.” I stood up and headed out for the door.

“You’re not going to go down like that.” Like what?

“Why not?” I asked being blocked by Amber.

“You’re going to give umma a heart attack. Put a shirt on.” She slapped my back.

“OW!” And BAM! Amber’s gone.

I grabbed a shirt in my closet and ran downstairs.

Appa was reading a newspaper and umma was in the kitchen.

I wonder what kind of day will today be...

KEY'S POV

I looked at myself in the mirror.

Good thing I didn’t have eye bags or else I’d be dying.

I couldn’t sleep well last night because of...

I restrained myself from ruining my beautiful hair.

Yesterday was such a bad day.

Why do I have to be engaged!?

Why did I have to tell Sooyoung?

Why did umma do this?

Why do I have so many questions?

I dressed in my formal, the ones I normally wear to work, and headed downstairs to breakfast.

I took a glance at my Gwiboon's SHINee clock. (She's obsessed with this korean band that I think looks horrible. Especially that guy called Key. HE COPIED MY NAME)

7:30 am, that’s a good time.

“Goodmorning Umma.” I kissed her on the cheek and took a seat next to Gwiboon; my younger sister.

“Yah! That’s mine!” I shouted at her. She lowered the magazine and gave me a look.

“Who says?” She said calmly.

“UH. I DON’T KNOW. ME!” I replied sarcastically.

“It DOES NOT have your name written on it.”

One thing about my sister is that she’s REALLY smart (An IQ over 200? -.-) and has NO FASHION SENSE.

I couldn’t believe I was related to her.

She wears uncoordinated stuff. That’s why she reads my magazines.

I grabbed the magazine out of her hands.

“Hey... I wasn’t finished with that.” She looked at me in the eye with a bored blank expression.

To be honest no one has never ever made her laugh; except for me, but just once.

Even though she has quite A LOT of friends.

Maybe her friends have... I DON'T KNOW.

“If you want fashion advice, ask me! Don’t read every single magazine and mix them all together. That’s like coca cola + orange juice. That’s just weird.” I swear she’s adopted.

“Whatever you say.” She replied and started eating her food.

I wanted a more fashionable sister that could relate to!

Although there’s only one thing I admire about her.

Her hair; it was brown and curly; and she always ties it up in pigtails.

She refuses to let ME fix it and I told you, there was this once she laughed right?

It was because of me and my rainbow colored hair.

I COULDN’T HELP IT.

Those highlights were just too pretty and that day she laughed her off.

Then the next day I could see she was restraining herself, but she was really good.

She had NO EXPRESSION WHATSOEVER.

“Yup. Whatever I say.” I answered. She shrugged.

But apparently silent girls like her LOVES animals. <3

Now we own a hundred animals (She wishes).

Not exactly but we own a bunny, a kitten and a puppy.

I don’t understand how she keeps a stable dog-cat relationship.

I mean the puppy cuddles with the kitten.

Seriously?

But it’s kinda cute.

The bunny is forever alone though. It tries to get the kitten’s attention. But /le fails, so it stays with the mushroom pillow. Gwiboon hates it when her mushroom isn’t where she left it so she puts it above the fireplace, where the bunny can’t catch it.

Anyways, I continued to eat. After a few moments, I heard a doorbell.

Must be appa’s guests.

“Answer the door Kibum.” Gwiboon ate her food. I glared at her.

“Oppa.” I smiled and walked to the door and opened it.

There she was with her umma.

“Oh Anneyong Hasseyo Kibum-ah!” Her umma greeted me for a hug.

“A-annyeong hasseyo..” I greeted with a forced smile, and then let her hug me.

“Annyeong hasseyo Yeonnie!” I heard my umma as she came this way.

“Come in!!”

“So Soo-jung! What have you been doing lately?” There I was again silent, but eating.

Soo-jung’s her real name, huh?

“You can call me Krystal...Well, I’ve been doing a production at school. I’m the assistant of the president in the Music Department.” She’s must be the same age as Taemin...

She’s young then.

“Do you-“ My voice raised a little. “Know Taemin?” I lowered down.

“Yes I do. He’s really good at dancing. He is casting the prince charming. Our production is based on the fairytale ‘Cinderella'. You should watch it! The production is not so faraway!” She smiled.

Umma clapped her hands.

“That’s perfect timing!” My umma smiled.

Perfect timing for what?

“Don’t you think yeobo?” She turned to appa.

“Perfect timing for what exactly?” He replied.

She slapped his arm lightly.

“The thing you were talking about at the office!”

“Just tell me.”

“The business trip!”

“Oh... That. So what?” He raised an eyebrow.

“Well, you see...” She turned to our direction.

“We’ll be going on a business trip with the Choi Company for 4 to 5 days? And we’ll be glad if you came!” She clasped her hands together.

“I’m afraid I can’t do that Kiyoung. We forbid Krystal to be all alone in the house.” Her mom explained.

“Umma.” I saw Krystal look at her,

“I’m not a kid anymore.”

“But Krystal won’t be alone! She’ll be staying here at this house with Kibum and Gwiboon!”

She let out a satisfied giggle.

WHAT WHAT WHAT?

"Okay then... Thanks for asking my permission..." Gwiboon mumbled to herself.

“We don’t want to bother-“

“It’s fine! They could spend quality time together!”

UMMA WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!

“Well, I guess it won’t do any harm. When’s the trip?”

“Tomorrow!” She smiled. Tomorrow?

“Umma, don’t you think this is a little too much?” I whispered in her ear.

She turned to me.

“Don’t be silly, unless you have a girlfriend; which you don’t.”

UGH.

I wish Sooyoung was my girlfriend already. T.T

“So is it settled?”

“Of course. We’ll be going now, we don’t want to disturb your breakfast.” They both stood up and headed to the door.

“Bye!” I swear she’s like Barbie when she’s with guests.

She went back and sat down.

“Is there something wrong, Kibum?” Umma asked.

“N-nothing...” I smiled and continued to eat.

I bet today will be a tiring day.

GYURI'S POV

I woke up at a sound of barking sound.

Roo.

I sat up, and covered my eyes.

It’s so early in the morning and the sun was blinding.

Still can’t stop thinking about yesterday, how really?

It’s okay. I’ll just ask Jonghyun when I visit him today.

I looked at the clock.

8:30 AM

He probably is at his office right now.

I rubbed my eyes and quietly made my way outside.

I didn't feel any presence so I continued to walk downstairs.

Jessica was sleeping on the couch. I looked over.

The only reason I hated her was because appa didn’t treat us the same way and then my love for her never grew.

Dissapointing, right? :\

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a snack.

But I still like her; I just don’t need to act like it or else umma might treat me the same way.

There I sat on Jessica’s used-to-be chair nibbling on snacks and remembering the past.

Why did appa have to pass away?

I just sat there zoned out for like 5 minutes.

Until I was disturbed.

I flinched.

“Gyuri?” Jessica yawned and rubbed her eyes.

“Y-yeah...?” Isn’t this the right time?

We’ve been treating her like... a maid for the past 2 years.

I feel really bad.

I guess appa would be happy if I did tell her...

“Oh nothing... You just looked...zoned out?” She said awkwardly.

“Can I tell you something?” I asked her, unsure.

“Oh, sure.” She smiled. How can she smile when I was so mean to her?

“Sit.” She sat. Okay, here it goes.

JESSICA'S POV

Why was Gyuri suddenly so nice and quiet?

“I never actually hated you...” I blinked countless of times.

Did I hear right?

“Huh?” I asked dumbfounded, eyebrows knitted.

“I didn’t want umma to treat me like she treats you... So I had to hate you. Plus appa didn’t treat me the same. I’m sor-“I cut her off.

“I’m sorry too. It’s not really my fault I’m my appa’s real daughter.” She stared at me.

“Why would you say sorry? I was the one being...mean.” Gyuri said in confusion.

“You see, when there’s a problem I tend not to blame others. If they blame themselves I blame myself for making them blame themselves.” made an ‘O’ shape.

“I know it’s confusing.”
