Chapter 07

"Are there any ways that we can switch partners or something?" Taeyeon asked.

"Nope. The teachers are pretty strict on not letting us pick who we want to work with and stuff." Lucas replied.

"You should tell me how your alpha is like and stuff right now." Taeyeon said nervously.

"Why?" Lucas asked curiously.

"So that I can brace myself for whatever that will happen in future when I work with him." Taeyeon said.

"My alpha isn't such a monster. Don't worry." Lucas said.

"Are you sure? I have heard that he is ruthless and kills basically everyone." Taeyeon blurted out while she was in panic.

But she immediately stopped talking after she realized what she just said.

"No. I am sorry. I did not mean to sound rude and hurtful. I did not think before I speak. Please just forget about whatever that I have just said." Taeyeon said frantically while her face turned slightly red in embarrassment.

However, what she doesn't know is that Lucas find her actions cute as she is speaking so fast while trying to convince him to not think much about the hurtful words she said about his alpha.

He smiled and placed both of his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey. Stop talking at the speed of a train. And don't worry about it. I have heard that a lot about my alpha. I honestly don't blame others to have the mindset since they don't know the real truth." Lucas said with a comforting smile.

Taeyeon just looked at him in confusion as he continued.

"My alpha isn't that dangerous and a walking murderer so just loosen up and let's get going. I'll send you home." Lucas said and started to walk off.

Taeyeon did not respond eventhough she has questions that she wants to ask but she just followed along.

"Thanks for the ride." Taeyeon said with a smile.

"See you on Monday." Lucas said with a cool smirk and drove off.

Taeyeon's father have discussed with her a few days ago about getting her an apartment to make it easier for her and also lessen the risks of others finding out where she actually stays.

In the end, her father bought this huge apartment just for her.
