Chapter 11

”I knew it.” Lucas said in anger and his hands were balled up into fists.

“Wha- what do you mean?” Taeyeon stuttered.

“How could you have lied that you’re a human? I thought you were better than this.” Lucas shouted.

Taeyeon froze and just looked at him in shock.

“To think that I thought you were different. Such a joke, isn’t it?” He scoffed.

“I can explain. Give me a chance.” Taeyeon said as she teared up.

“Save it.” Lucas said in a cold voice and walked off.

“Wait!”

“Ringggggggg!” The alarm rang.

Taeyeon woke up in shock and panted heavily.

“Just a nightmare. Calm down, Taeyeon.” She said in relief with closed eyes.

She checked her phone for any notifications.

2 new messages. 

Lucas: Hey. Call me when you’re awake.

Taeyeon became paranoid.

Did Tiana spill the beans? Is that why he asked me to call him?

“Taeyeon just calm down. Nothing has happened.” Taeyeon muttered under her breath and proceeded to call Lucas.

“Morning.” Taeyeon said softly as she panics a little.

“Why are you speaking so softly?” Lucas said.

“Oh nothing. Why did you ask me to call you?” She said and felt a sense of relief.

“I wanted to ask if you want to get something to eat before we go to school.” He said.

“Ah I see.” Taeyeon replied and looked at the clock.

08:32 a.m.

“I guess we could.” She said.

“Alright, I’ll pick you up in 20 minutes.” Lucas said.

“Okay, bye. Drive safely.” Taeyeon said and hanged up.

Baekhyun got out of the shower and got ready for school.

As he walked to the kitchen, he saw Lucas on the phone.

“I wanted to ask if you want to get something to eat before we go to school.” Lucas said.

Baekhyun walked to the fridge and got a bottle of juice while trying to listen to what Lucas is saying.

“Alright, I’ll pick you up in 20 minutes.” Lucas replied with a smile.

Baekhyun waited for him to hang up and looked at his facial expression.

“Why are you smiling so brightly?” Baekhyun said.

Lucas got startled and looked at him in shock.

“Oh nothing.” Lucas said.

“Nothing? Pfft
