Kris and I ran through the hallways, careful not be too late for class. As we were running, my right foot got caught on my left foot, my whole body lurched forward. I flicked my pointer finger and middle finger forward slightly. Everything froze. My body stopped in mid air, my back hunched over uncomfortably. I pulled my body backwards, getting back into a standing position.

"I'm so glad I have this power" I chuckled, the good thing now is I can actually control my power and not have only 5 seconds to get back into my last position. I flicked my fingers again, everything started to move. Kris stopped abruptly.

"Wasn't I just holding your wrist" Kris asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. 

"I was gonna trip up" I explained earning another confused look from Kris. I held my fingers up. "Remember?" Kris' face relaxed as his brain registered what I meant.

"Oh yeah" Kris said as he rubbed the back of his neck. I smiled.

"Come on, we'll be late" I said grabbing his wrist.

"Watch your footing" Kris teased as we ran, I didn't look back but I could practically hear the smirk plastered on his face.

"Shut up or I'll make you trip up" I threatened.

"Like you would, the almighty Tao" Kris tried.

"Oh yeah? I'm trained in wushu mind you" I said putting my hand in the air. "And time powers, remember?"

"I can fly, remember?" Kris mocked, mimicking my actions.

"Touché" I said. We finally arrived outside our classroom, breathing heavily from all of the running. I opened the door, revealing the half full room. To our relief, the teacher still hadn't arrived. Guess all that running was for nothing. As Kris and I walked into the class, I realised I was still gripping Kris' wrist. I let go quickly, my whole face flushed red. Damn stop blushing me. We sat down in our seats which were funnily enough next to eachother. This mornings classes went by agonisingly slow, I was getting extremely hungry, and by the sound of Kris' stomach he was too. Kris and I sprinted out the class as soon as the bell went. ​

"Hang on," I called to Kris as I retreated to the side of the hallway. "I need to check if I remembered to put my lunch in here last night" I crouched down and opened my bag. Thank god my lunch was in there.

"Okay let's go" Kris said peering over my shoulder. 

"I know I know" I said as we began sprinting again. We must of got a lot of exercise today. I checked my watch.

" we'll be late" I swore. Kris fake gasped at my language.

"Language Zitao" he scolded playfully, earning a death glare from me in his direction. "Just use your power" he suggested.

"Not a bad idea" I said. "Ready?" He nodded in confirmation. I copied the gesture from earlier, flicking my fingers forwards slightly but keeping it in that position. Everything started to slowly move back. When it reversed back to when we first ran out of the classroom, I stopped. 

"3,2,1" I counted down, everything started moving normally again.

"Let's go" I said to Kris, lacing our fingers together before running towards the meeting point where we would meet our friends to eat lunch.
