The Salty, Vast Sea"How are you associated with Jihyun and her brother?" Soohyun asked.
"You were eavesdropping?" Gain asked.
"Yeah and I heard everything."
Gain folded her arms across her chest, "Good in that case I won't have to explain it to you then. It's as you heard and I wish you'd stay out of it."
Soohyun pocketed his hands, "I plan to." His answer surprised even Woobin.
"....You will? You promise?" Gain asked.
Soohyun nodded. Gain started to doubt if he have heard every bits and pieces of it. "It's a relief then." She said, looking up at him. "I have your words on that then."
After bidding her farewell to the siblings, Gain headed toward the elevator and was about to press the button, when Soohyun grabbed onto her hand.
"Follow me." He said as he pulled her toward his place again.
"Soohyun, I have things to do—"
"Do them later." He said.
Inside, Soohyun pulled Gain closer to his side so when he shut the door, it wouldn't hit her. As Soohyun was ready to lead her deeper into the building, Gain dug her toes into the floor and stopped him from moving.
Soohyun whipped his head around, confused at what Gain was doing. But he expected an explanation.
"I said I have some things to do Soohyun."
"It'll only take a few hours." Soohyun said.
"You said you heard everything, then did you not hear when I said Seungho may have taken Jiyeon?"
Soohyun sighed and released his hand from around her wrist and instead pocketed them, into his black slacks.
"So what if they're together?" He questioned, earning a confused frown from Gain, "It's not like Seungho will hurt my sister. We both know he loves her alot."
Upon realizing it Gain was almost speechless. But she quickly tried to make another point.
"But Jiyeon believes you're dead, that Seungho killed you."
Soohyun sighed, "Once Seungho informs her then I'm sure it'll clear up whatever misunderstanding they may have had. So let's forget about Seungho being with my sister and—"
"It wasn't just about your sister and Seungho. This was also about Jiyong. He have succeeded in becoming a black dragon and—"
Soohyun raised a hand to cut her off, "I don't really care what he is or where he is. Don't worry, even if Jiyeon and Seungho are just humans now, that brother of his won't hurt them. I can tell, just how much he actually cares about the brotherhood they have."
Gain furrow her brows, "So, you know he's not dangerous?"
Soohyun shrugged, "Sure he may be dangerous, but if he's not a threat then who cares?"
She in her breath, "I'm still not used to this new personality of yours."
He sneered a little, feeling satisfied, "You've changed quite a lot too."
"Like in what way?"
"Well," Soohyun observed her for a moment, "I wouldn't know unless you let me take another good long look at it. Exactly in what way have you changed?"
He reached an arm around Gain's nape and pulled her in for a quick yet gentle kiss.
Seungho walked into a cave that was at least five figures taller than him. He was still soaked in water as he spun around to view the sight behind him.Jiyeon was entering at a slower and more cautious pace. She stopped to look up and meet Seungho's gaze for a moment, before focusing on whatever other objects that popped out to her.
"Since there's no clothes to change into, just wait here and try to endure the coldness for a little. I'll make a fire here."
Jiyeon didn't bother looking at him and instead her side and looked at the dull wall made of rocks.
In no time Seungho got a fire going. It sat near the end of the cave, and where a big rock was set just to the side. "Sit here and keep the fire alive with these twigs here," he gestured toward a pile of thin twigs and leaves, "I'm going to find something for us to eat."
As he got up and was ready to pass Jiyeon, she swiftly moved toward the wall to build more space between them.
Jiyeon sat on the ground instead of the rock and tried to warm up her wet body by the fire. She regret wearing a thin blouse.
If only she knew she was going to be kidnapped, she would have chosen more layers at least.
Seungho stopped by the entrance of the cave. Before taking eggs from seagulls' nests, Seungho stopped near the seashore.
"One day, if we ever get to meet our partners and bring them here. Just one day, Seungho, should the four of us just live here?"
Jiyong asked sitting on the sand before the waves, meanwhile Seungho was standing on the side with his arms across his chest.
"Why?"
"I....I don't want to become the leader of the Atlantic...."
Seungho smiled, amused at his reason. "But you're the oldest."
"I know, that's why I'm desperately wishing for that to happen one day. Just the four of us on this island. This island, where you and I found it by running away from father."
"Don't be dramatic, if it's bound to happen then it will happen." Seungho said, looking down on the latter. Jiyong sighed a weak smile.
"What if it's not bound to happen?"
Seungho looked out toward the sea's surface with Jiyong, "Then I guess you should keep praying, otherwise it won't happen."
Jiyong scoffed and looked up at Seungho, "Sometimes I wonder why I'm always including you in my plans." <
