One of the trainee practise dance rooms wasn't empty yet, two sole occupants still loitering in it, both exhausted from dancing both together and seperately, were now eating some snacks.
Lay and Suri; one a well-known idol and the other still a trainee. Both had slide down the wall onto the cool floor, leaning against the wall, nearly no room between the two bodies not caring about sweat they had accumulated dancing.
"Yixing? Can you get me another cracker please?" Suri asked quietly, her head resting against his shoulder, far too exhausted to do almost anything after spending her whole day practising, only getting to see Yixing in the last two hours she'd been here after he'd completed practising with his group.
Suri could feel his whole body move to one side as he grabbed another cracker out of the packet, hearing the familiar noise of the wrapper crinkling. The room went silent for a few moments and then the cracker was offered to her.
Suri's eyes glanced up to Yixing's, watching the warm smile he gave her whenever they were together. It seemed to pit in her stomach and fill her body with a pleasant warmth, the same one from the first day they met each other.
Suri leaned forward slightly, grabbing the cracker between her lips, being gentle so to not break it and then relaxing back in her former spot, lazily lifting a hand to hold the remains of the cracker as she nibbled on it.
"You shouldn't eat salt crackers after dancing, you'll get even more dehydrated." Yixing murmered to her, his hand moving to interlink with her own after pushing back a strand of stray hair that had fallen out of her ponytail. "I'm not here all the time, I won't be able to heal you." But though he was worried for her health, he couldn't really deny her much either, only being prepared to intervene when something was badly wrong.
Suri's mouth curved into a shy smile, chewing her bite of the cracker and swallowing.
"Its the only thing I can eat after training this hard. I feel like I want to collapse and just eat my heart out, but I know it'll make me sick." She sighed, turning to burrow her face in the sleeve of his hoodie. "I don't know why they keep yelling. Am I not good enough?" She said into the material, her voice coming out jumbled, but somewhat recogniable as her own. She wasn't sad, just confused and frustrated.
The tone obvious enough to have her pulled onto the lap of her boyfriend, legs off to the side, whom hugged her gently and rested his forehead against her own. His lips almost pulled to an uncharacteristic frown, his chocolate eyes staring into hers.
"You are perfect. You are so beautiful and talented, that I wonder if you were sent as an angel." Yixing smiled, his dimple appearing in one cheek and his thumb caressing her own cheek. "But they must just be upset with us. With EXO, we've caused so many problems for the staff and fans."
She frowned, pulling away from him and just hugging Yixing closer to her.
"Never; a healing unicorn could never cause problems, they can only fix them Yixing." She laughed, eyes crinkling into crescent shapes, as she tried to lighten the mood in the room giving them positive memories to look back on when they were seperated.
Yixing smiled into her shoulder as they sat, her in his lap, arms around each other. Neither caring about the fact they had spent most of their time, their days dancing seperatly, because when they were together it seemed as if they had never parted.
It was a fact only know between a few, their families and his group members, that they were/and had been dating since the end of the MAMA era and just before the Wolf era.
'Knock, knock.' The heavy tapping of wood echoed throughout the room.
The pair didn't move much, didn't jump in fright at the sudden noise emanating from the door. They just looked up each with a pair of confused eyes, looking at the door and they to look back to one another asking the same question with their eyes. 'did you know someone was going to be here?', though only answered with the same crinkle of confusion appearing in their brows.
Suri got up first, slowly moving her muscles and patting her cheeks to hide any blush on her cheeks, carefully making her way to the door with Yixing following at a safe distance just in case it wasn't a privilaged staff member, or group member who may have known about their relationship.
"Who is it?" Suri called out, standing by the door, hand ready on the handle.
"Teacher Sangwoo. Kim Youngmin wants to see you immediately, so if you would exit the training rooms and follow me." His voice came out leisurely, the familiar humming of dance songs shortly accompanying the new arrival.
"Okay." Suri responded, turning to look back at Yixing who nodded, moving closer to her.
"Meet me back here after your meeting." He whispered in her ear, making sure only the two of them could hear. Suri looked back up and nodded tightly, receiving a quick kiss on the lips and a smile as a temporary goodbye gift.
Suri backed away, a gentle smile gracing her lips, turning to open the door after she knew he was concealed behind the door and making her escape.
Thoughts could only run through her mind now like hurtling trains, she didn't understand why she was getting called to the office at this time at day. It couldn't have possibly anything to do with the harsh yelling she'd received recently. Was her dancing really that unsatifactory?
She could only wonder as she was led to the head office and given a reason behind all this.
Congrats to my dear applicant sharehappiness for the creation of the lovely Lee Suri, forever now known as the unicorn princess.
