  "He likes him."

"For God's sake, Hyun, the poor boy is straight," Sunggyu protested for the millionth time that day.

Woohyun practically hurled a pillow at his lover. "I'm telling you the truth! He hasn't realized it yet but there's no doubt that Sungyeol is infatuated with your baby cousin." He had seen the way the boy had reacted whenever they brought up the topic of L. It reminded him a bit of how Baekhyun was like when he talked about Chanyeol.

Sunggyu scoffed, narrowing his small eyes. "Putting aside the fact that he's supposed to be homophobic, what makes you think that they're going to work out?" He handed the other boy a peeled apple. "It's not like you don't know L. The chances of him feeling emotionally attracted to another person is as high as Chanyeol's IQ: zero." His joking remark resulted in a less than gentle punch on the arm from Woohyun.

"Kim Sunggyu, your cousin is a human not a robot," he snorted, pushing the dark bangs out of his eyes. "When the time is right, they will naturally be drawn together."

The elder boy couldn't help but wrinkle his nose at how cheesy that sounded. "Not every homoual love story is supposed to be like ours," he pointed out. "Not everyone is as lucky as us." That was definitely the truth. After Daeyeol left Woohyun, the latter was plunged into an automatic self-destruct mode. He resembled an abused little kitty when Sunggyu had found him pacing back and forth in front of the apartment complex where he lived. What were the odds that the two would have actually fallen in love with each other? It was as if fate had blessed them. Sunggyu was the loving angel that literally kicked his out of depression.

Woohyun shrugged slightly. "May the odds be ever in their favor."

"It's not going to happen and would you please stop quoting that darn book?" Sunggyu was beginning to regret bringing books for his lover to read in the hospital. Every time he found one that he particularly enjoyed, Woohyun would read it so many times that he could literally recite the whole story backwards. This habit of his annoyed the hamster to no end.

"What?" Woohyun tsked. "Let's make a bet then," he suggested, sounding extremely confident and feeling even more so.

Sunggyu hesitated. He didn't like playing games with his boyfriend because no matter what, he always lost. A rejection was on dancing on the tip of his tongue but one word from Woohyun made him immediately change his mind.

 "Chicken-gyu."

The man's slanted eyes narrowed until all there was to see were his thick eyelashes. "I call never," he muttered, earning a smug look from the other male. Woohyun knew just the right buttons to push to make Sunggyu play along with him. The older boy absolutely despised having his inflated ego shot down.

"And I'm positive that it will happen. Loser has to-"

"Loser has to be the bottom. Forever."

Woohyun blinked in surprise for a moment before sneering at his lover. "You are so on, Juliet."

"Yah, when and where did we agree that you were Romeo?" Sunggyu pursed his lips.

The dark-haired male was too busy basking in the glory of his indubitable victory to notice the other's pout. Back when both of the boys were physically healthy, they had constantly argued about who would be the top and who would be the bottom. Sunggyu hated being submissive - though he never once complained when things really started going down. Woohyun had an advantage because he was stronger than the older boy. Their situation wasn't going to change anytime soon and the latter was going to make sure of it.

Dongwoo's first instinct was to run as fast as his thin legs possibly could. He never intended for those thugs to actually chase him. The idiot just never knew how to keep his mouth shut. Adding that to his list of future reminders: don't scold big burly guys for throwing cigarette butts on the sidewalk. Being the environmental advocate that he was, Dongwoo couldn't help but reprimand others for treating their community like absolute .

The boy with caramel-colored hair let out a sigh of relief as the thundering sound of footsteps behind him gradually faded. He was still too afraid to stop running which was really terrible idea. Fast movements and Dongwoo simply didn't mix. No. He was too clumsy and his long limbs didn't exactly help the situation. Before he could stop himself, he tripped on his own foot and plunged forward in a mixture of flailing arms and colorful language. Dongwoo sat up to inspect the stranger that he had crashed into not-so-lightly. The red-head sat up, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Watch where you're going, damnit," the guy growled, wincing at the pain from a long scrape on his arm.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Dongwoo was stuttering at the sight of blood trickling down the boy's porcelain skin. "You see..I
