ABOUT CASPIA
After the success of WINNER and iKON through two excitement reality survival show. YG Entertainment received many requests from fans stating that they should make a competition show featuring female trainees. This is because they haven't see any female trainee in a show before. Hence, a month and a half after the end of Mix & Match. Yang Hyunsuk, CEO of YG Entertainment announced that they are going to have a new reality program. The name of the show is called Project: Caspia.
Project: Caspia consists of eight female trainees whom has been trained for at least a year. The unique part is that they are no elimination for any members of Caspia. This eight trainees will have their own tutor to teach them their part. The members of Caspia are talented in every way including composing. So, Mr. Yang decides to let them compose their own song to be featured in their debut album. After the show end, Caspia is scheduled to debut in mid 2015 after iKON. Caspia is also said to be the female version of WINNER and iKON. Mr. Yang also said that WINNER, AkMu, iKON and Caspia are a part of YG Entertainment: New Generation project that will be revealed at 2015.
